The lights I received were of very poor quality but when I tried to return for a refund I was offered a partial refund which I did not accept. I had to pay to return the item to China and it has been held up in customs for weeks as the company has not paid their end. This has been going on for months and I remain out of pocket by £130. My emails no longer receive a response. I would not order fro this company again. Extremely bad service.

Order was never delivered and when I tried to talk to someone I just got sent round and round in circles talking to a AI agent and had to give up with no refund.

Similar experience to some of the existing reviews. The company clearly does not operate out of UK or Netherlands but China. Zero clue as to when, or in fact if, my 5 ceiling lights will arrive (all advice is in Chinese) and have been waiting 4 weeks already. Clearly operating in breach of several consumer rights regulations. There is a pretty active customer service team but they are clearly highly trained at deflecting and reassuring knowing full well the mess customers have been left in. AVOID!

Similar to others who have bought electrical items I would avoid this company at all costs. Ordered ceiling light on 2nd Feb, finally arrived on 17th March in a tiny box - as it was in many separate parts, had no assembly or usage instructions whatsoever and does not comply with UK electrics - strange wires sticking out of it etc. on requesting a refund I was offered a 10% refund and keep the light (which is no use to me as it’s completely unuseable) or 50% discount on next purchase - and I certainly won’t be buying from them again! Emails say “Hoome.uk” but website says they are based in Netherlands but products are clearly coming from china. Currently looking into whether I can get my money back from the bank!

Tried the tufted sofa cover before buying a new couch. Fits tighter than expected and hasn’t shifted around. Delivery was on time and packaging was clean.

The delivery was fine but it took over a week to arrive that's the only disappointment as I now have to wait for another slot with my electrician

Great after sales service when the original pkg was damaged / delayed by courier. Very quick to send replacement.

I placed an order on the 7 November (#2582HM) and it came to my attention that part of the address was missing . Despite several attempts to get hold of Evri and the supplier Hoome to correct this, I have not received any response. There has been no response to emails that I have sent the supplier and the phone number is not in use, which is a huge red flag. When I look at the tracking information, this parcel has been abandoned in Birmingham. This cost me £129 and I cant accept that I don't either get the product or a refund, its not fair as a customer that I should suffer this loss. I would not recommend this company/

Every time I step out of the shower, I notice how soft this bath mat feels. It dries quickly, stays in place, and the dimensions are perfect for the tub. The stitching looks neat, but the mat is thinner than I expected, so it doesn't feel as soft underfoot as I'd hoped.

I bought two outdoor lights in October 2025. Due to building work they were not fitted until November 2025. In mid January 2026 one started to fill with water and the bulb obviously stopped working. Hoome will only replace goods within 30 days of purchase!! What a complete waste of money. Do not buy from them!!

This site is a complete scam they want to charge me nearly the same amount I paid for terrible quality goods to return them to china
It’s in the small print. Over £300 return shipping charges for £400 of items worth max £50. I’m going legal

Unfortunately, my experience with Hoome UK has been very unsatisfactory.

I ordered a lamp after carefully selecting Model B, which was clearly advertised on their website as 17 cm in size. What I received was a much smaller 11 cm lamp, corresponding to Model A, not what I ordered. The size difference is significant and not a minor variation.

Despite multiple emails and providing clear explanations, customer service repeatedly insisted that the item sent was “correct” and refused to acknowledge the discrepancy between the product description on their website and what was delivered. This was extremely frustrating and disappointing, especially as I waited a long time for delivery.

On top of this, the quality of the lamp is very poor for the price paid and does not reflect what is presented online. When I requested a return, I was told that refunds are not available for defective or incorrect items and was only offered a replacement, which I did not want.

Overall, the issue was not handled professionally, and the lack of accountability or willingness to resolve a clear mistake has left me very dissatisfied. I would not recommend this company based on my experience.

Ordered lights on 1/12, had to chase twice & they said they were held up somewhere! Finally Arrived 29/12! Tracked from CHINA! Tried to return the lights! Sent 6 emails clearly stating I’d like a full refund & return & they wouldn’t give me an address to return them. Kept offering money off next purchase! Totally incompetent. Ended up raising a dispute with my bank to get the money back. Final email I received from Mark the dispute Manager said it was out of their hands as the dispute had been raised & not to return them to the Netherlands address on the website!

Following up on a previous review.

This company just stops short of a scam in terms of their returns policy.

Would think twice before ordering, as you are unlikely to get your money back in the event of a return. Having been offered an initial 10% refund, I opted to send my item back to China at my own expense under this companies instruction, to which it was returned as unclaimed 8 weeks later.

Further back and forth lead to an offer of a 40% refund, which given the hassle up to this point, was agreed on.

£85 returned from an initial order of £200, beggars belief. A serious note of caution for any potential customer.

In November I ordered Christmas lights - reindeer.
Deliver was very long - just before Christmas they delivered wrong, damaged item - instead of reindeer was dragonfly.
They told that they can’t make a refund!! And suggest to send new items. Despite I need it by Christmas I accept this option. So I January I received again wrong Dragonfly item in bad condition.

Company suggest damaged items, awfully service and cancelled to make a refund (what is illegal)!!! don’t recommend ever this company. !

Ordered a ceiling lamp from Hoome.uk. Product arrived after a significant wait from China.

The ceiling light arrived completely disassembled and lacking any instructions. The wiring loom was self assembly and required soldering and testing.

I have tried to exercise my right to return but this has been unacceptable. I will be utilising a charge back

Very poor customer service! Lights arrived, electrician said they were cheap crap as the bulbs were very tight to go in and 2 of the 4 arrived broken. Also the bulbs once in sit squint. Have tried to get a refund since November, sent multiple emails with the same reply - they can’t see the photos so can’t proceed even thought I have sent in different formats as requested. They also told me their company don’t do refunds so I would need to choose something else. I contacted them within the correct time frame etc but still nothing. Will never buy from this company again!

Items was cheap rubbish and came broken as was sentvin flimsy envelope. Chinese crap.

Sent me the wrong item- took 2 weeks to arrive and once installed it was the wrong colour light- tried contacting the company and they would not fix their error as it had been over 30 days from the original order. Luckily I pad through PayPal and they refunded me. Would never trust this company
