I purchased men's Targhee IV boots ,I have had 4 pairs of Targhee 2s , 3 boots and 1 shoe and a pair of trail shoes . I have a bunion on one foot and the Targhee 2s have been comfortable ( all 5 pairs fell apart ,despite being well looked after because the quality of materials and manufacture is so poor ) ,I emailed Keen who told me that the IVs have the same roomy toe box as the 2s ,they don't .
They rub my little toe also they are very harsh and tiring to wear and inconsistent sizing doesn't help . The the new sole grips well but the midsole does very little to absorb shocks ,like driving a car with solid rubber tyres and no suspension . I can't walk more than 3 miles in these even then it's no pleasure .
I have wasted so much money on inferior Keen products in the past the Targhee IVs are the last straw ,budget products sold at an inflated price . Very disappointed in Keen they not only misled me but proved they still can't make a decent boot .

This seems to be Keen's standard reply ,do nothing and just expect the customer to pay .
I have spent hundreds of pounds on Keen's poor quality products and don't expect to have to work as their development engineer for free . All I wanted was a decent pair of boots .In the future I won't be buying anymore of this Keen rubbish .

Superb walking boots that actually fit me! I usually buy a size 4 for my wide feet and have to wear really thick socks. As the boots relax my feet slide back and fore in the boots. As I was able to buy a size 3.5 with a wide toe box they actually fit and I have had no issues from day 1 wearing. Hallelujah! Excellent waterproof comfortable walking boots.

Shoes are lovely but ordered them for more clement weather so I haven’t worn them yet. Great style and width.

Shoes arrived very fast and very comfortable - but

1. Shoe laces untie. I had to buy new laces that aren't slippery...

2, Why are the tongues so uncomfortable? The patch of leather (?) at the top of the tongues presumably to cope with the pressure of laces catches on the uppers, so the tongues soon curl up and become uncomfortable if you go for a walk. I took a photograph - but can't see how to upload it (if anyone is interested).

I have been looking for a genuine wide fit as have a Morton's Neuroma, the symptoms of which are exacerbated in snug shoes. These are definitely a wide fit, unlike shoes I have tried from other brands. Have only worn them once to date, but so far, so good. Definitely waterproof too.

I already have a pair of Elle sandals and they are the most comfortable sandals I’ve ever had. Great for walking but also carry through to evening very well. I was delighted to find another two pairs in different colours!

Took your size guide which suggested sizing down half a size from what I normally wear (seemed odd so I did it again with same result). I have a friend with some different Keen boots which come up large so I went with it. Boots are snug as a result & can only take a thin sock. Yet to try them outside & can only hope the ‘give’ a little in use. Feel guide was unhelpful & I should’ve gone with my gut. Boots themselves seem great & I’m sure would be very comfy if only I don’t get toe pain from them being slightly too short. Annoyed if I’m honest. I have other Keens which have always been great.

Bought a pair of Targhee IV on the recommendation of my son. Roomy toe box for wide feet. Comfortable straight out of the box. I had a trial hike of 8 miles, on rough ground, and then another 8 miles the next day, they proved promising (and waterproof in the snow) for the multi day hike I have planned in Portugal. Very pleased with them so far.
