Quoted £39-60 over the phone to remove a key from inside of door to get it open. Booked in advance, no urgent call out fee. Charged £220 for a 10 min job. Manager keeps scheduling calls with me and is now ignoring me. Sounds like everyone’s had a similar experience, hopefully they get shut down.

If only I had read these reviews before making the mistake of calling these people out. They were the first company which came up on Google (BAD MOVE it was a sponsored ad).

I was quoted £50 for the work over the phone. A guy turned up with a small toolkit in his car, no clarification on whether I even lived at the house and immediately got started drilling on the back door. He had to unlock two old wooden doors to access the house which he said were ‘tricky’, he used a drill on both doors and I was in the house within 40minutes. He said the charge was £150 for both doors PLUS £50 call out PLUS coming back the next morning to fit a new door lock for £125!! I googled the door lock and it is £20 to buy online.

I tried to speak to a manager and I realised he had his friend call me instead. I began to read these reviews while waiting for the manager to call back and when I told him I was calling the original number to complain he suddenly brought the price down to £150. I explained I wanted clarification on what I was paying for especially after reading the reviews and wouldn’t be paying until I spoke with the company manager - he responded by saying ‘I don’t want your money’ and left.

I was contacted by someone claiming to be the supervisor and I asked for an invoice with a breakdown of costs. I am yet to receive the invoice but I will be contacting trading standards and citizens advice to report them.

TOTAL SCAM!! Do not use.

Even if you are locked outside, in the freezing cold as a single woman with a 9 year old at 11pm they will take advantage of you.

For something that took 5 mins and which cost £25 to buy. They charged me £215.

Absolute scam company, wish I had read the reviews beforehand. They charged over £700 to drill a lock (which didn't need doing) and replace the lock and a part of the locking system which I have since found out they didn't even fix. I am kicking myself for being so stupid, will be going to trading standards and possibly seeing what legal recourse I have.

Absolute jokes this company got quoted £49 if the job was easy, locksmiths turned up started goin on sayin its a hard door to get in to
then goin on an on with his little storys tryin to distract me an give me a bill for £194 told him sling it an then expects £49 call out charge for telling me a story lol mad guy, then said he come back after next job to see if I spoke to manager I tried ringin the manager several times no answer absolute scamers left me outside in freezing cold weather

I rang my landlord pfp thay sent emergency joiner to my house an had me in within several minutes with no damage at all, all thay want is ur money

My partner contacted the first locksmith he could find on Google. They charged him £400 for a new lock! We could have got a new door for that price! I would definitely not recommend! I don’t know how they can be advertised anywhere!!!! Very angry and they never replied to my email or answered calls!!!

This company is a scam!
The company quoted £50 on the phone, saying costs could alter but the technician would let us know when they see the job. The technician mentioned nothing until AFTER the work had been carried out and it changed to £364!
I have called 4 times, first being told I would receive the invoice via email so I could check what was charged for, this was never received even though they claimed to send it 3 times. They said it must be going to junk but we have of course been checking this too. I was then told the manager would call me back in half hour. 2 hours later I called back to be told by a very angry Eastern European man that the manager was on holiday because it's nearly Christmas, a complete contradiction to what I was told originally. He then accused me of lying about the technician not agreeing the price before hand and hung up the phone and blocked my number, we tried calling from other numbers for them to immediately hang up and block those numbers.
We will not let this go and are going to be reporting this company to trading standards and are using the address in Brent Street which is on the card receipt we have to persue them via the small claims court.

*Update*
After this company blocked all of the phone numbers we were trying to call them from, we went to the bank to report them. The bank are now issuing us with a refund.
3 weeks later the guy turns back up fuming and removes the lock from the door saying that the bank will be refunding us tomorrow and we can't keep the lock as we haven't paid for it. We will now be escalating this to the police as this is completely disgraceful behaviour from a company and we are now left feeling unsafe that they can just turn back up at our front door like this.
I hate to think what they might have done if we had not been home.
Please avoid at all costs, this is not a safe company to deal with, thank god for CCTV and the fact we have the name and address of the owner!

Absolute rubbish. Was left outside in -5 weather for 2 hours in the garden. My key wouldn't go in the lock so I rang the first locksmith I saw on Google for my area. They kept lying on the phone saying he would be 15 min or hes stuck in traffic. When he did turn up all he did was slide some plastic down the side of the door to open it and charged me 140 quid. He asked if he wanted him to put a new barrel in.. obviously I said no. Stay well clear. East European if anyone is wondering. If they say they're coming in half an hour.. take it with a pinch of salt..its more like 2 hours.

Never ever use this Company. My Daughter arrived home late from work and couldn’t gain entry to her house due to a gear issue in the front door locking system.Called. lock Unlock who gave her a reasonable quote. They came but she ended up paying £700 yes £700. I am so cross. We have had our lock sorted and it cost £75, I have tried contacting them via email but have not had a reply. I rang them but could only speak to a very unfriendly aggressive man who was not going to discuss the invoice.Unfortunately my daughter paid by debit card so legally we have no recourse.
Please be aware about quotes for a job with this Company. My Daughter who is vulnerable is understandably very upset and very out of pocket.

Avoid at ALL costs. Incompetent so called locksmith ruined the door frame, took parts away that he didnt need to. made a mess of door frame. Total rip off. Paid £180 for a lock. The door now doesn't work or lock properly. Can't even just close the door, totally ruined it. Tried calling office, no returned calls, invoice requested still stated to be paid. Asked for updated invoice, no response. Do not use. Now not taking my calls. Manager never available to talk about poor job .Absolutely disgusting workmanship. Totally ripped us off and now going to make formal complaint via ombudsman.

They have charged over £300 to 'fix' our lock. I am sure they preyed on the fact that my wife needed her medication. Now the lock doesn't work and we cannot open the door, just a few days after they 'fixed' it. We have children in the house and when we told the company about the faulty lock, they just said it is not their issue. Now they have blocked our phone numbers and ignore all emails.
AVOID!!!!! I am sure that the occasional 'good' review must be false, with the clear repeated pattern of scamming that this company runs.
I have reported them, but just hope this stops others getting scammed.

Anyone on here saying they have been ripped off should contact the Master Locksmiths Association, they won’t be able to help you get your money back they they will be able to build a case against this company & have them shut down. I’m a professional locksmith working in the bristol area for the past 30 years & to hear that people being ripped off in this way during difficult times really annoys me, I always try to treat my customers with respect and treat them the way I would expect to be treated. I have many great reviews from customers on checkatrade & anyone wishing to get a proper job done should either use the MLA website or checkatrade

Over £300 to change a lock and they broke the doors handle, so now we cannot open the door with the handle! They keep saying the manager will call back to resolve the issue. They never call. Now I’ve asked for my money back they have blocked my number.

This is exactly the same scam they seem to run with many others, reading the reviews.

Trust pilot needs to do something about this clear scammer.

Service was good, quick to arrive. They tried to tell me £49 call out fee but never mentioned extra charges, so I made sure to ask. They said locks start at £25 etc. The lock ended up being £119, and it is a lock you can buy for £35 - but honestly for the call out and fitting, I would have paid the extra anyway. Lock works fine and seems well fitted, I gave it a good test before he left

SCAM! £360 to get me back into my property and replace the lock. Two weeks later my front door handle no longer works. We need to twist the key just to get out of the house. The company refuses to fix it. They said the same locksmith that fitted the lock has to fix it - nothing to do with them apparently. He says he told me the gearings are old and would break. But It was working perfectly fine until he replaced the lock! This company was second in a google search. They should not be allowed to trade. Like others, I’m always told the manager is in a meeting and can’t talk to me. They need to be shut down.

Every review says it all. We were quoted £49 for a door that wouldn’t lock but charged us £178, unfortunately we didn’t notice until it was too late. On reflection we realised he had used distraction technique, we are old and too trusting, not really sure they are actually locksmiths.

Wrong info supplied about lock provided. It is not police approved or trades certified. Paid £526 to change lock system. Price is unbelievable for poor quality locks. Lock cost £8 and they charged £69 which unfortunately is not safe nor approved in Uk. System cost £60 was sold to me for £359. Completely disappointing and infuriating. They should be ashamed of exploiting people like this during this difficult time. Please avoid them and try others.

Pretty well summarised below. Called out quoted 49£ plus VAT this morning, guy turned up (late) and tried to charge me 270£. He was politely told otherwise and decided to take the 49£ plus VAT. Shambles of a company and I will be checking if they are VAT registered and if not will be reported to HMRC
