I had order a pair of boots
I had order a pair of boots and of course stated the color
I got email stating that they had shipped the boots with the wrong color
I use the shop app, I use shop app for tracking and on the app it also showed the wrong color as it went from brown to olive so even on shop, Manitoba shoe company can change the color
I called just soon after I saw the email showing the change and I called Manitoba to let them know I’m receiving the wrong color
Well she told me that I would be paying the shipping fee in order to ship them back
I told her that it would of been best to check with me in order to make sure that all is well with me before shipping
She told me that she going to talk with someone who maybe can help me
I called a shoe store here in my town to see if I can take the boots to the store that sells the same boots
At this store the lady told me that she cannot take the boots
Update
I had returned the boots and today I was happy to say I have been refunded!!!
Amazing customer service
Amazing customer service sent an email. They got back to me a few days later the shipment had been lost by the Purolator people and they replaced the shoes right away. Wonderful company.
Do NOT buy from this company
Do NOT buy from this company. They are pretty much non existent in terms of customer service. Phone number on website says there is no representative to take calls and do not return emails. Shoe sizes run small and unable to return because there is no customer service.
Ordered two pairs for Black Friday
Ordered two pairs for Black Friday, when package arrived it was the complete wrong shoe, they told me not only would the right shoes not get here before Christmas, but they had sold out of them anyways. Also, the box says the shoes are made in Vietnam, the website says it’s an American company, but then when you call they say they are in Canada. Not only that- now I have to pack up the package, go to the post office, and still don’t get the shoes I ordered for Christmas- terrible experience and the first and last time I will order. Spoke to customer service who was like , yep, nothing I can do, too bad.
I have never been disappointed
I love this company. Their slippers and boots are well made, beautifully beaded, and the shipping is quick. Good job guys.
HORRIBLE communication and customer service!
Placed an order based on when the shoes would be delivered, was told right after the fact that they would actually not arrived on time because we are in the US. Immediately requested to cancel. Reached out twice before I finally got confirmation that it was canceled. I was notified today that the items were actually shipped and my card was charged. 😡 Requested a prepaid shipping label for return, will update my review based on whether or not I actually get this.
I have purchased a pair of beautiful…
I have purchased a pair of beautiful Manitobah mukluks, after less than 2 winters of wear the soles were worn and had holes in them! After paying over 275.00 for these,I find it very disappointing that the material was so shoddy!! Customer service was terrible and would not respond to my inquiries or even try to compensate in some way. Do not order from this company!!!😥😢
I ordered a pair of micro mukluks
I ordered a pair of micro mukluks. They sent me a confirmation email stating my order was being processed in warehouse. They charged my credit card immediately. A week goes by and still no updates on the SHOP tracking app. By the way, worst tracking app out there. 3 weeks later I emailed them concerned about order as still no updates. They responded that my order was in the works and there is a slight delay on online orders. A month later to the day, I emailed them and they responded that my order was shipped. Then I received an email the next day that my order was canceled because the website doesn't match the actual stock they have in warehouse. I called them about my refund as I paid with credit card. They said it will take 2 days for accounting to put refund in the works and it could take a week or so to receive my refund. This company is terrible. I will never order from them again and I don't recommend anyone else to order. Unprofessional service and lack of communication within their departments.
Loved wearing my Mukluks.
Loved wearing my white Mukluks.
I bought 3 pairs slippers
I bought 3 pairs slippers. One pair is the same foot as the other foot. Made in Vietnam. The rabbit fur comes from China. If you want your company to last , please let us know that is not Canadian. Never again I will buy from you
Absolutely worst experience
Absolutely worst experience of my life with this company. Pay big money for boots and they pay the cheapest way to ship that gives you no real access to where your package is. Never ever will I order from them again
I got a pair of mitens for the Winter…
I got a pair of mitens for the Winter and inside it Said it was made in china. i thought i was helping an native company but turns out i was helping china lol
Very Poor Customer Service
My wife and I have purchased at least 10 pairs of their products in recent years. When she went to put on a pair of new moccasins recently, she discovered the lace was broken.
I immediately sent them an email explaining the problem. The response I received was that they could not replace tge lace and instead, gave us a coupon for 25% off the regular price for another pair. I replied that was an unacceptable solution and they hVe never responded.
Second rate quality with a 5 star price
Fit small. Started separating at the heel after a few wears. "Customer service" told me to repair them myself. I won't support this company especially since I learned they took production out of Canada and raised their prices.
Awful Customer Care
I had the pleasure of receiving a beautiful pair of mits from Manitobah as a gift from my best friend. I truly admire their commitment to Indigenous design, beauty, and resilience, and I was excited to add these unique accessories to my collection. The stories behind their products are inspiring, showcasing the remarkable people and organizations that contribute to their craftsmanship.
However, my experience with their customer service has been disappointing. Despite my admiration for their products, I found myself reaching out to them three times regarding an exchange for a smaller size, as the mits I received were too big and a bit stiff. I wasn't looking for a return—just a simple exchange—but unfortunately, I never received a response.
As the 30-day window for exchanges has now passed, I've given up hope. It's disheartening to feel ignored, especially from a company that prides itself on cultural insights and storytelling. My overall experience has left me frustrated, and I can't recommend purchasing from Manitobah given the lack of support from their customer service team.
As they say, "Customer service is the new marketing." It's a vital aspect of a company's reputation and success, and in this case, Manitobah has missed the mark.
I hope they can improve their communication and support in the future, as I would love to continue supporting their mission and products.
Buyer beware!! Impossible to return!! No customer service help. I purchased a pair of 350 boots and…
I purchased a pair of 350 boots and they didnt fit so i have been trying for two months to return them. I have repeatedly emailed the company that I no longer had the order number and the company kept asking for it...they certainly had it as they have all my info including email and order number....now two months later i hired someone to help me find the order number and when i got back to manitobah they are not helpful, they just run me through the same process of return which is automated...and now its too late for a refund just an exchange is available. Terrible customer service. I will not buy from this company again. This was my second purchase with them. I will change my review if anyone from company sees this and fixes issue. All i want is a refund.
The boots are overpriced
The boots are overpriced, under made and failed within three months of purchase. They were replaced and the new boots failed at exactly the same place and time after wear.
Save your money, buy Redwing boots. These boots look better than they are made and will last a season if you’re lucky 👎
No made in Canada
Was VERY disappointed that the product was not made in Canada (Vietnam) and also disappointed that the product I ordered was actually embroidered. It wasn’t very clear when I ordered as it talked about the beading designer. (My fault for not reading and re-reading I guess)
I was excited to support an Indigineous company but won’t be supporting again.
Manitoba…cold feet
i ordered the pack boots from Manitoba and they came right away, the wrong size! when i tried their return portal it said my order number didn’t exist! i emailed their care team and they obviously didn’t care to send me a return label! i have asked them 6 times now to please send me one! the only reply i got was an excuse about a strike ?!? i really wanted a pair of tall wrap boots size 9 but new i’m not so sure i want to deal with the company at all anymore !!
Michelle Ruprecht
and my feet are still cold!!
Bamboozled life a mf
Greetings!
I'm sure my story isn't much different than the average person looking for a nice and sturdy winter boot that's handsome and comfy as well. Me trying to be different and find other companies beside Ugg's, and since our phone "listens" and picked up on the algorithm of "winter boots" my eyes somehow landed with Manitobah's website. Although many products on their website caught my eye, nothing was more enticing than the Leather waterproof Mukluks that's been smeared as a high value boot per the website. Even with video demo posted I was totally impressed and prepared for a boot that accommodates my calf muscle size, slips off and on with no struggle and is warm and comfy through out. I figured $275 (which is steep for any kind of shoe/ boots) is reasonable for the bark and bite I read about in others "reviews" and what was sold in the descriptive narrative of: " boasting a cozy sheepskin foot bed and complete waterproofing to a height of four inches from the bottom. That's why you'll reach for this beauty—rated to -25F—all winter long."
I'd like to takes this time to say all of the above is complete CAP/BS.
Number 1 thing I peeped on arrival is how light weight the boots actually are which was a bad sign of how much material or how cheap the material actually is. Low and behold I tried on my beloved boots only to feel how close to the ground and incredibly flat the boots are from the inside. These boots are NOT even ONE inch from the ground never mind the 4in they said. These boots are so flat that I walked over a perforated portion of a sidewalk (for the handicapped) and was able to feel every single node AND rock or pebble on the ground under my feet, which leads me to my next point. I live in Dallas. The temperature dropped recently into the lower 20s and I can not only feel how COLD the ground was from the bottom of my boot but the draft from the wind still seeped into the shaft of my boots and was every bit felt. In any normal universe you typically cant feel the bottom of the ground in ANY shoe unless they are flip flops. This was the most disappointing thing I ever got in a boot in my 40 years of living. I design clothing and footwear so I'm very familiar with materials and textiles, and I will call out that the construction was done well but the materials used were super cheap. I could have built this boot with my own hands for real for real. The "fur" pile in the insides are very short and velvety meaning its not any kind of fur of shearling AT ALL and definitely not thick enough to warm a bat in 50 degree weather. The lining of the boot must come from a severely malnourished sheep and velour fabric because it ain't nothing thick or "cozy" about the lining at all. Also while walking in the boots, the two pom-pom dangler thingys cant keep it with your steps without tangling or feeling like its gonna fall or pop off. I actually cant walk to fast or hard because I don't want to ruin them. They don't stay tied so all you feel is that tapping from the pompoms in addition to them tangling up when you walk sometimes as well. The outer fur isn't waterproof at all in fact even if the fur was "real" it isn't compacted enough to resist regular moisture at all.
SO! In conclusion...yes they are adorable at sight, but they missed the functional part of the assignment COMPLETLY, almost to the point that I feel scammed. I had better coverage in Bear Paw boots than I did with this expensive mess. If you truly want a great quality winter time boot Its obvious UGGs reign supreme. I'm disappointed I had to write a detailed review like this...but I must make my noise so that other people wont get burned tryna be cute. peace!
