No made in Canada
Was VERY disappointed that the product was not made in Canada (Vietnam) and also disappointed that the product I ordered was actually embroidered. It wasn’t very clear when I ordered as it talked about the beading designer. (My fault for not reading and re-reading I guess)
I was excited to support an Indigineous company but won’t be supporting again.
Manitoba…cold feet
i ordered the pack boots from Manitoba and they came right away, the wrong size! when i tried their return portal it said my order number didn’t exist! i emailed their care team and they obviously didn’t care to send me a return label! i have asked them 6 times now to please send me one! the only reply i got was an excuse about a strike ?!? i really wanted a pair of tall wrap boots size 9 but new i’m not so sure i want to deal with the company at all anymore !!

and my feet are still cold!!
Bamboozled life a mf
Greetings!
I'm sure my story isn't much different than the average person looking for a nice and sturdy winter boot that's handsome and comfy as well. Me trying to be different and find other companies beside Ugg's, and since our phone "listens" and picked up on the algorithm of "winter boots" my eyes somehow landed with Manitobah's website. Although many products on their website caught my eye, nothing was more enticing than the Leather waterproof Mukluks that's been smeared as a high value boot per the website. Even with video demo posted I was totally impressed and prepared for a boot that accommodates my calf muscle size, slips off and on with no struggle and is warm and comfy through out. I figured $275 (which is steep for any kind of shoe/ boots) is reasonable for the bark and bite I read about in others "reviews" and what was sold in the descriptive narrative of: " boasting a cozy sheepskin foot bed and complete waterproofing to a height of four inches from the bottom. That's why you'll reach for this beauty—rated to -25F—all winter long."
I'd like to takes this time to say all of the above is complete CAP/BS.
Number 1 thing I peeped on arrival is how light weight the boots actually are which was a bad sign of how much material or how cheap the material actually is. Low and behold I tried on my beloved boots only to feel how close to the ground and incredibly flat the boots are from the inside. These boots are NOT even ONE inch from the ground never mind the 4in they said. These boots are so flat that I walked over a perforated portion of a sidewalk (for the handicapped) and was able to feel every single node AND rock or pebble on the ground under my feet, which leads me to my next point. I live in Dallas. The temperature dropped recently into the lower 20s and I can not only feel how COLD the ground was from the bottom of my boot but the draft from the wind still seeped into the shaft of my boots and was every bit felt. In any normal universe you typically cant feel the bottom of the ground in ANY shoe unless they are flip flops. This was the most disappointing thing I ever got in a boot in my 40 years of living. I design clothing and footwear so I'm very familiar with materials and textiles, and I will call out that the construction was done well but the materials used were super cheap. I could have built this boot with my own hands for real for real. The "fur" pile in the insides are very short and velvety meaning its not any kind of fur of shearling AT ALL and definitely not thick enough to warm a bat in 50 degree weather. The lining of the boot must come from a severely malnourished sheep and velour fabric because it ain't nothing thick or "cozy" about the lining at all. Also while walking in the boots, the two pom-pom dangler thingys cant keep it with your steps without tangling or feeling like its gonna fall or pop off. I actually cant walk to fast or hard because I don't want to ruin them. They don't stay tied so all you feel is that tapping from the pompoms in addition to them tangling up when you walk sometimes as well. The outer fur isn't waterproof at all in fact even if the fur was "real" it isn't compacted enough to resist regular moisture at all.
SO! In conclusion...yes they are adorable at sight, but they missed the functional part of the assignment COMPLETLY, almost to the point that I feel scammed. I had better coverage in Bear Paw boots than I did with this expensive mess. If you truly want a great quality winter time boot Its obvious UGGs reign supreme. I'm disappointed I had to write a detailed review like this...but I must make my noise so that other people wont get burned tryna be cute. peace!
Are pretty good. Period
I dont really understand the bad review here. I bought a pair and i ve been outside in -16 and they are super warm. About the slippery, tell me just one boot you can walk in the ice without any danger of falling at all. None! I recommend
Free shipping??? Not! Check your order
Product is just okay. Boots are not as warm as expected.
Website notes "Free shipping over $99".
Order was over $99 and delivery was still charged.
Have contacted the company on numerous occasions. Promised a refund but still waiting. Has been since November 30, 2024.
Won’t be buying any more.
I have the Tamarack boots. I bought a pair quite a few years ago. They were not waterproof , so I bought a new pair that is. The quality has definitely gone down. They no longer use Vibram soles and they are no longer stitched onto the boot. The wheat design carved into the boot is not as good. The boots are not as tall. These boots have never been warm. I had to put an alpaca footbed in them for extra warmth. The boots are also very slippery. Too bad they have cut corners. Same old story…..a company makes a good name for themselves ( like Dyson) then cheap out. I won’t be buying anymore from them. Oh yeah, and they are made in Vietnam. Wth?
build quality has honestly gone downhill

I like the style and comfort of both my pairs of mukluks but the downside of both of them is that they really are not very warm and they are very slippery. I've fallen and hurt myself when I first bought them and am now very cautious. Wish there was a way to fix this issue. For the money I am disappointed in this product.
I was duped!
I was excited to gift my grands moccasins especially because I believed according to their marketing suggests that they are made by "indigenous" communities. These are made in Vietnam! This is deceptive marketing at it's finest. This deception has made me retract any desire to ever do business with them and I will never endorse them as I have over the past two weeks. I will continue to warn the people I gloated to not to use this company
Do NOT Buy SnowyOwl Waterproof BOOTS
I bought 2 pairs of snowy owl waterproof boots 2 years ago and they look like they are 25 years old!! They sag horribly after about 20 wears (at the moment I have 4 rubberbands on top of rabit fur to keep from sagging so much!). They also do not wear well. I take super good care of my boots/clothes etc.I only have worn these SnowyOwl boots in fall/winter months last two years and (maybe 25 wears for 6 hours a day) and my boots look like they are ready for the trash bin. The suede stains epecially on tan color even though they are sprayed by me. They also need inserts or you will feel every rock etc... while walking. They have fake fur inside! They simply are not worth $250, maybe $125. It is sad because when I first got them I loved them but they just age EXTREMELY badly, but 2 years old is not that old; get my drift? Don't waste your money;the quality is just not there!
Over the years I have bought many pairs…
Over the years I have bought many pairs of Manitobah boots and had enjoyed them up until my rotten customer service on my latest order. I would recommend going to another place. Customer service sucks.
No longer made in canada.
These are made in Vietnam. Work taken away from indigenous communities all so the company cam save $$. I don't even think it's indigenous owned anymore. The sizing is weird too. I sized down like they said to and they're still way too big. Returning the items are a pain. If you order online, you can't return the item at the store. You have to return online. It's a shame.
Tipi moccasins troubles
This was my third pair of tipi moccasins. The chemical smell was so strong I had to put them outside. I found this very disappointing and reported my concern to the company. They said it would be escalated. Even after months they still smell too strong and I am not going to put them on my feet. I will not be ordering again. Too bad as I really liked these moccasins
Worst experience EVER!!
I’ve been struggling with whether to bother acknowledging your condescending response. I have decided and truly believe that your business is not the kind I can support. The product was so abhorrent, I couldn’t even consider giving it to someone in need. Your business ethic is not one where the customer is number 1 and your success will suffer in the long run. Be aware that this review will be cross posted all over social media as well.
Not sure what happened to the bunny…
Not only was the quality nonexistent, but the major shock was when I returned them and received a nicely packaged pair! They sent me the exact pair I had returned as a replacement!!! How insane is that?!? So much worse than “bad” customer service 🤬
Beware
Beware! Terrible quality and fit for the money. Most importantly there are no returns.
This boot is terrible for wearing in…
This boot is terrible for wearing in snow and ice. I've slipped and fell 2 times now wearing these expensive death traps. These are purely fashion boots, not made for walking around in the ice and snow at all! Waste of my money and time for my injuries to heal.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. They don’t read the email. The day after I received faulty boots I emailed them and they said it was after 30 days. It had only been 2 days. After multiple emails, now they don’t want to give me a refund. When you make poor quality items you can’t refuse to refund them.
This company is a joke
This company is a joke. Totally flubbed a delivery…almost two weeks to Massachusetts. By the time the package arrived late, I was already back home in Portugal. When I complained, this is what they sent:
« Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to let us know your feelings about this. As a company rooted in Indigenous culture, our vision is to build a vibrant, global brand that makes a significant impact in our communities.
We make every effort to consider our customer's thoughts and opinions before making decisions. I will pass your feedback on to the leadership team so they can consider your concerns when deciding the future direction of the company.
Warm regards, «
Complete garbage corporate speak and no solution offered. Stay away! It’s an «indigenous » scam.
STAY AWAY
Like everyone says, quality and care has went down drastically in the last few years. I went kind of crazy the past 2 months ordering 7 pairs of shoes. I am not joking, every SINGLE one has had something wrong with them. I am not going to tell you what’s wrong with every single pair but I will tell you one item they sent 2 different sizes for one pair of shoes… SERIOUSLY? It was supposed to be size 10 and they sent one size 8. Called them had to wait days for paid postage then when I sent them back they inform me there is none left in my size. Now waiting waiting for refund but nothing. Absolutely sickening and careless. Yes the boots are beautiful but man the quality is CRAP. One other pair they sent they was a chip out of the suede and indent in one of the boots sole of shoe on the outside. Another pair that were moccasins, the stitching was not connected on one of them. I could go on but I just wanted to say and get it off my chest… STAY AWAY PEOPLE. Not quality at all!!! Waterproof boots leave your feet feeling wet and freezing even straight out of the box and I have had 5 pairs of snowy owls to back this up. Thanks for reading.

Product was not made in Canada like there site says. Product is falling apart after two weeks of use. This product was over priced for the cheap out of country made product. Will not be back!
