great product, easy to use site

The site was very easy to use and provided a useful template to make sure my comic pages lined up perfectly to be printed. The price compared to the quality of the print was really nice, too. Didn't take very long for my books to get printed and shipped to my home and they arrived in pristine condition. And with my original order saved and made easy to reprint, I'll be using Mixam for life.

Mixam is everything I needed and wanted! The quality is amazing, the prices are great, and the website is incredibly easy to use. As a first-time customer and first-time author printing my own book, I was able to upload my ideas and quickly see my vision come to life.

I especially appreciate how Mixam helps with design alignment and explains the different book styles and printing options, making it easier to choose exactly what you need. My very first print came out exactly how I envisioned it, and I couldn’t be happier!

I just wanted to have a photo turned into an 18x24 poster. I found the process online easy to navigate and hassle-free. It turned out exactly as I wanted it to and how I was advised it would look. Turn around time was quick. I am pleased with the entire dealing.

Mixam offers a wide variety of printing options, sizes, and paper stock. This is great, and it allows for customers to print anything from magazine to books, hard cover, soft cover, and a variety of binding options. That being said, I was disappointed in the print quality of final output. Despite using their custom color profiles and InDesign recommendations, some sections of the book look like they were printed on a low-quality, consumer inkjet printer, rather than a professional printing service. Their is a green cast to the images, and much of the bold black type has purple bleed to it, much like you would see on 2D printing that is intended to be viewed with 3D glasses.

I had a photo converted into a poster. I found the whole process easy and hassle-free. The final result looks exactly as I intended. Quick turn around time. I am very satisfied with my experience overall.

The print quality is excellent. Mixam was probably the best so far from 4 POD providers that I have tried. The paper quality is very good and the print colors closely matched my digital illustrations (my kidlit picture book is heavily illustrated). The only drawback was tiny print smudge on cover that I hope was one-time mistake. And there is some confusion with getting quotes: for example, I am unable to get same quote that I got for my initial personal copy. If specific quotes available only for first order, it should says so somewhere. Also, the shipping cost is expensive.

The booklets were very nice. The price was better than the local printers quote but delivery was longer from order to receipt.

The product came together very nicely. I love the online design module. My only peeve is that the trimming was off slightly, and images that I extended outside the margins still ended up with slivers of white at the edge. Other than that, I’m happy!

o, at the last minute I decided to turn the plan for our anniversary road trip into a proper printed book. Something my wife and I could thumb through on the road, then keep on the shelf afterward to remember where we went and what we got up to.

My first stop was the enormous, cheap printer that advertises everywhere and whose name rhymes with missed-a-print. They couldn't make what I wanted. So I went looking, and that's how I found Mixam. They could make exactly the booklet I had in mind, and they said it would arrive in time if I paid for express production and overnight shipping. I did. It didn't. The books showed up a few days late, after we had already hit the road. That was a bummer.

Then we got home and I opened the box. I was floored. The paper, the prints, the binding, all of it. I liked it so much that I made a second book, this one built from what we actually did on the trip and the photos we took along the way.

This time I wasn't in a hurry, so I picked standard production and standard shipping and figured I'd see it in a couple of weeks. Instead it finished printing the day after I ordered it and shipped that same day. It arrived a full week ahead of the estimate, which was a splendid surprise.

The photos printed beautifully. The colors are true and the layout matched my file exactly. The paper quality is phenomenal and the binding is great. Flipping through it together, my wife and I decided we'll make one of these for every trip from now on, and Mixam will be printing every one of them. The quality is top-notch and the price can't be beat.

One piece of advice: take the dates on the website with a grain of salt. They're more of a guesstimate than a promise, and that cuts both ways.

They always do a great job with my marketing materials which is why I don't even look anywhere else anymore.

Went off of your advertised
Turnaround times. Did not get order in time. Communications were slow and confusing. One response said I could not change shipping address, after another person (or bot) said I could change the destination. Honestly a food delivery app has more concrete information about where my pizza is, compared to the vague updates I got from your team. They were nice enough but seemed to be at the mercy of some large robotic printing monster, who had no intention of finishing an order on time.

Ultimately I got one package in time. The other came three days too late. So I will probably go back to a ‘slower’ printer for my jobs from now on.
