I recently had a very disappointing experience with the broadband installation process involving Vodafone Broadband, Openreach, and MJ Quinn.

My original appointment was arranged three weeks in advance, but the engineer arrived without appearing to understand the requirements. I was told that qualified assistance and a cherry picker were needed because of a nearby power cable. The engineers said they would return the following morning, but I received no further contact.

After contacting MJ Quinn, I was told that the job had been referred to Openreach. The attending engineer later admitted that he had forgotten the arrangement.

A further appointment also failed because the engineer appeared to have no knowledge of the previous work or what was required to complete the installation.

I have repeatedly taken time off work for these appointments, yet the relevant information does not appear to be passed between engineers. I understand the importance of following health and safety procedures, but the lack of planning, communication, and coordination has been extremely frustrating.

The repeated failed appointments, poor communication, and apparent lack of preparation have caused unnecessary inconvenience and left me without the service I was promised. I also remain unclear about who is responsible for coordinating the work and what equipment and personnel are required to complete it.

I hope this matter is resolved promptly, but based on my experience so far, I cannot recommend the service. Anyone arranging an installation should ensure that the requirements have been properly assessed and that the engineer attending is fully briefed and equipped before taking time off work.
I also checked out the reviews on Google and now understand why.
Do not recommend them.

Had OM come an install my Vodafone Full Fibre 1st Sept.
A very polite young man explained where he wanted to drill to bring the cable in the house which worked well.
He worked efficiently getting the job done quickly and cleaning up behind himself which was impressive.

Tasleem couldn't have been more through. Explained everything very clearly and ran through the various scenarios. Issue has been rectified

All straight forward , very polite guy so helpful , highly recommended .

Avoid if you can, job was contracted out to them by Openreach to install full fibre connection.
Engineer had no problem solving skills or any concrete answers to my questions.
Ended up doing the inside part of the job, and then lied to my face and told me he would be back first thing in the morning as needed a hoist.
Then got an email from Openreach saying someone will be in contact to finish the job. So the guy had just sent it back as couldn't clearly be bothered, rang customer services who eventually apologised but had no follow up courtesy call, or explanation as to why the engineer lied.
The lack of customer service and attention to detail was shocking.
