My Fuels is a brilliant company. The quality of their kindling is excellent - much better and more generous in quantity than other local companies.
The logs are delivered efficiently and I was able to speak to someone who explained when on which day the logs would be delivered. Pricing is competitive and generally cheaper and delivery happens within 2 to 3 days.
I would recommend this company to anyone looking to stock up on good quality, slow burning logs.
In addition, we were given a free gift with this order which was totally unexpected - a chimney cleaning firelog!

Thank you for leaving us a review. Unfortunately when we tried to inform customers of delivery timings in the past it caused more harm than it did good as when something changed they all have to be notified again and many had put off doing things to wait for our delivery.
The best solution we came to was to ask customers to leave instructions on where is best to leave the order should they not be home. This can be done at the checkout stage on the website or by emailing/calling us after placing an order.

Sensible prices and the delivery arrived within a few days. It would have been good to get a message beforehand about when the delivery was coming though, because then I could make sure someone was going to be in to receive the delivery.

Hi, thank you for leaving us a review. We really struggle to give accurate times of delivery due to factors outside of our control and have found that when we do let customers know dates and times of delivery and it has to be changed (even slightly) it causes more problems than otherwise because they make plans to receive the delivery. The best we have come up with so far is to ask customers to leave a note when they order on the website letting us know a safe space to leave the delivery, there is a notes section at checkout or alternatively you can email us at sales@myfuels.co.uk or give us a call and we'll do our best to get it in the right place.

Excellent service and product
My kiln dried hardwood was delivered at the right time, to the right place , well packaged and came with a chimney cleaning fire log. Exceptionally good value as well

Hi John, this will be the same issue as the review below. Really difficult for us to notify customers of delivery times/days as things change so fast for us especially around Christmas that we end up doing more harm than good if a customers makes arrangements to receive the delivery and then we have to change the day. It's caused some problems in the past and the changes happen more than we'd like.
The best way to avoid any issues would be to make sure we're aware of where to leave the delivery should nobody be home, you can leave a message at checkout on the website or email/call after placing an order to explain where deliveries are best left, we would let our driver know and he'd do his best to leave it in the right place.

The first I knew about the delivery was when the driver called me from outside my house. I was not in.
I ordered 2 different types of wood. The silver birch was good, no problems, but the African hardwood had a large quantity of small slithers of wood, the size you would use as kindling. I would approximate that 5-10% of the wood delivered was like this.
Wood was nice and dry, apart from the logs on top of the bags as it rained before I could get home and they were uncovered and open to the elements.

Hi David,
We always have the issue of letting customers know and then an unforeseen issue coming up (traffic, staff absence etc) that means we have to change the delivery time/day and let all the customers we'd already notified know of the delay/changes. Customers then get frustrated they made plans or halted plans for no reason. It's a tough one for us to solve.
If you come to order from us again if you leave instructions for where you'd like the logs placed, our delivery driver will leave them there if possible. Ideally with a plastic cover sheet over the top so they don't get wet as you said has happened here. The drivers keep these in their lorry's to put over deliveries if it's raining so I can only assume he ran out on the day of your delivery. Hopefully they dried out pretty quick!
