Was great, now too restrictive.
This was great to begin with. Saw them at Pub in the Park and had a discount for a few orders. All was going well, lovely pasta, ideal for quick meals and can be frozen. Then came their new website. No longer able to only select pasta, you have to order a dessert or you can’t order at all. No thank you. No response to my email so cancelling my sub.

To clarify, you should absolutely still be able to order pasta on its own without adding a dessert! The requirement to select a dessert sounds like a system error or layout confusion during our website update, and we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and for missing your previous email.

Let down by their delivery drivers outside London
The food is great but their delivery service outside London is atrocious. We repeatedly asked the delivery company to leave the food in a covered porch, but EVERY time they just chucked it on the doorstep where is either got baked in the sun, or got soaked in the rain. We spoke to Nona Tona themselves several times about this but - despite even switching to a different delivery company - it continued to happen. Eventually we had to cancel because so many deliveries were ruined.

So insanely wasteful for one single meal. I know it's all recyclable and biodegradable, but that's no excuse for one meal making having the same footprint as a weekly, even monthly shop. A single use icepack to keep one meal cold? Dystopian. If you care about the planet or have any environmental inclinations avoid!!!

We completely understand your concerns. When you're receiving just one meal, the amount of packaging can feel excessive, particularly when you're making a conscious effort to reduce your environmental impact.
As we deliver fresh pasta and ingredients, keeping everything properly chilled throughout transit is essential for food safety. That's why we use insulated packaging and ice packs, even for smaller orders.
However, we absolutely recognise that being recyclable doesn't automatically make packaging sustainable, and that reducing the amount of material we use in the first place is just as important.
We're continually looking at ways to improve our packaging and reduce waste without compromising the freshness and safety of our food.
We genuinely appreciate you taking the time to raise these concerns.

Worst subscription I ever had
I was once a customer of Nonna Tonda and found their subscription method appalling; they do not even send reminders of future charges or upcoming subscriptions. Plus, in order to cancel your account, you need to email them! Making it a hassle for clients! What is worse is they do not stop calling by mobile in order to sell their products. I have asked to NOT BE CONTACT again and they still call. Please stop abusive contacting and harassing your clients or former clients! What an awful service!!!!!! Never had this problem with another of my subscriptions.

Firstly, I want to be very clear that if you've asked us to stop contacting you, that request should be respected without exception. There is no excuse for continuing to make sales calls after someone has asked to be removed from our contact lists, and I'm extremely sorry if that has happened.
Customer service is incredibly important to us, and we never want anyone to feel pressured or harassed by our team. I'd really like to investigate how your contact preferences have been handled and ensure that your details are removed from our outbound calling and marketing lists.
I also completely appreciate your frustrations with our subscription management process. We've listened to feedback from customers about the difficulties of managing deliveries and cancellations, and we're currently introducing a brand-new website designed to make managing subscriptions considerably easier and more transparent.
That said, improvements we're making now don't excuse the experience you've already had, particularly when you've had to repeatedly ask us to stop contacting you.
I have also sent a response to your email.
I'm very sorry again. Regardless of whether someone is an active customer or has chosen to leave us, they deserve to be treated with respect, and we clearly haven't met that standard in your experience.

Really disappointed with Nona Tonda
Really disappointed with Nona Tonda - having used a number of great food delivery companies such as Planthood in the past. Our first delivery arrived to our home at 7:30, left in our woodshed - the box was open and warm (ice melted) when I collected around 15mins later. I appreciate this is falls within the couriers remit, but I am most frustrated that having contacted Nona Tonda straight away I am yet to receive a response 3 days later. I also reached out via socials but my comments were deleted rather than responded to.

Receiving a box that was open and warm is clearly not the experience we want for any customer, and you were absolutely right to contact us immediately. More concerning to me is that you then waited three days without receiving a response. When there is a potential issue with the condition of fresh food, we usually respond quickly to resolve it.
I’m also concerned by what you’ve said about your comments on social media being deleted rather than responded to. That certainly isn’t how we want genuine customer concerns to be handled, and I’d like to understand what happened there as well.
We will of course make sure you are not left out of pocket for the affected delivery, but I’d also really like the opportunity to properly investigate both the delivery and why you didn't receive the customer service you should have afterwards.

Only recommendation I would say is please update the website, I'd love to see my order history/past pasta dishes and have the ability to rate them even just for my own reference :)

Really good pasta, maybe slightly expensive, but you can tell it’s fresh and quality ingredients. Highly recommend especially if you can get a refer a friend offer. A really strong 4/5.
