There is no 3-day-trial. For everyone who got scammed, try reaching out to your credit card institute and show them the information about the 3-day-trial on the website as well as the termination terms in their terms of services. they claim to refund you the remaining subscription time once you terminate. if you request a business plan, one of their guys will reach out to you..you can also find them, if you know how to google.

I gave NOTTA 1 star so I could at least have the right to a negative review.
NOTTA is a one time rip off.
They will hit your credit card with at least 107 bucks the first time you contract.
I used it the first day with very mediocre results.
Next day I get a charge for over 200.00 on my credit card (I called my CC right away to not acknowledge the charge)
When I tried to use my Pro plan the next day, it wanted me to again buy a plan.
I wrote 5 or 6 times to their customer support service email for a month and they never replied.
So, yes, this is some smart ass's make money to buy a Lambo and split website.

you ask for refund and to keep just a monthly payment to see how it works....and they wont aceept , after replying that they would.

LE: i was given a refund and payed just for one month. Unfortunatly for me at least in my language, the translation is not accurate adall.

dont ever use this, i tried signing up for a 3 day trial and it instantly billed me 100$ on my card which i tried to refund, i have emailed them over 4+ times and they never reply. Really petty from them, im currently a student who has to work to pay off my bills and at the same time go to school, and those 100$ could have helped me, but this site took them without even telling me :/

TERRIBLE TRANSCRIPTION QUALITY. UNABLE TO CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION. NO RESPONSE FROM SUPPORT!!

This review is not really for the Notta product, but for it customer service, which is abyssmal. I'm a college student, and was looking for a service that could record and transcribe my class notes, while also having AI capabilities for things like summarization/clarification. Notta seemed to fit the bill, so I signed up for a 3-day trial. What I didn't realize was that the trial was quite limited, and didn't really give the full experience.

While trying to compare the different plans, I accidentally signed up for a full subscription (which is charged as an annual sub by default). I assumed that the subscribe button would take me to the plan comparison page, since that's what it had previously done. But, since I was on a 3-day trial and had to give my CC info for that, the site just automatically signed me up for a full sub. That was a bad assumption on my part, and I'll own that. But when I clicked the button, there was no confirmation or anything, just bam, subscribed for a year.

I went to the support section of the website, finding out that their support is only through email. I emailed with a detailed explanation of the situation, which was two weeks ago today, and I have not heard anything from them. Clearly, customer service is not something that this company takes seriously, as it seems to be non-existant.

I also contacted my credit card company and explained the situation. They told me that if I've contacted the merchant already, then I have to wait a full 15 days before initiating a transaction dispute. It's been 14-days with no word from Notta, so tomorrow I will be going ahead with the dispute.

**As an aside, here's a brief review of the actual product. The recording works fine, but there are numerous apps and programs that can do that. The transcription also works fine, as does the AI. My main gripe with the software is that, on the Pro plan, even though you're given 1800 minutes of transcription a month, you are limited to 90-minutes per session, and my classes are 3hrs. To fully transcribe each class, I would need to split the audio file into two separeate files and then transcribe them separately, or I would need to upgrade to their more expensive "business" plan. This is in contrast to other similar services, and after the Notta debacle, I ended up signing up for Transkriptor instead, which while a slightly more expensive monthly cost for their base plan, offers more monthly minutes and DOES NOT RESTRICT SESSION LENGTH. They also offer a 50% student discount, which can be applied to either an annual sub or to your first 3 months of a month-to-month sub.

AVOID, it's as bad as all the other reviews claim. They say you're signing up for a 3-day free trial, but then they charge you over $100 immediately without your consent and there's no way of refunding.

I've contacted customer service 4 times with no response whatsoever.

I'm now putting through a dispute through my credit card company to get my money back.

I have subscribed 3-day Trial and the period was counted in hours, not days, as advertised. After knowing this I canceled the subscription just 2 hours 30 minutes after the time and requested for refund by email, but they never replied or checked the email. I have sent three emails already, but have not got any updates and it says that it is not even opened for 5 days.

Non existent customer service. DON'T BUY.

really bad transcription quality on the paid plan. waste of money and so many bugs in the software. I reached out with my complaints and no response from support team.

A scam.
Customers need to subscribe to the Pro plan to get the full transcription. But the quality of the transcription is terrible. Only the first few sentences are transcribed properly to lure customers to subscribe. The subsequent sentences are just repetitions of gibberish sentences.
To make it worse, even after canceling the subscription within the same day, still within the 3-day trial, the subscription fee was still charged to my card.
Worse than worse, any attempt to contact support is useless. Except for an immediate automated response, there is no real human response after 6 days and still counting.
Now, I have to disable my credit card to prevent them from unlawfully charging money to my card.

Notta's business practices are deliberately misleading and deceptive. They falsely advertise "120 minutes of free transcription" when only 5 minutes are actually available, with the rest hidden behind a paywall. This is a bait-and-switch tactic designed to lure in customers under false pretenses.

I subscribed to their "free" 3-day Pro Plan to access the advertised 120 minutes, which turned out to be another scam. The trial period is counted in hours, not days, as advertised. This lack of transparency violates EU consumer protection laws, which state that any ambiguity should benefit the consumer. Instead, Notta’s approach is designed to trap customers into unintended charges.

The service itself is also unreliable for B2B use. Even when native speakers discuss industry-specific topics, like heavy machinery or civil engineering, the transcription accuracy is extremely poor. After being prematurely charged $107.99, I found many complaints about their refusal to refund and lack of customer support.

Notta is a dishonest company with a predatory business model and a subpar product. Avoid this service unless you want to be scammed and left with an unreliable tool!

I did the test subscription and while on this test things worked GREAT! When I signed up and paid from that point forward it doesn't work. Even video's that I had transcribed the week before cannot get them to work now. Nothing works, no response to anything, can't get customer support to answer me nothing.

I was initially drawn to Notta for its promise to transcribe voice memos efficiently. However, the service quickly fell short of expectations. After providing my email address, believing I could get a transcription of an hour-long voice memo, I was dismayed to find that Notta only transcribed the first 3 minutes. To access the remainder of my file, I was required to sign up for a paid plan, effectively holding my voice memo hostage.

This kind of bait-and-switch tactic, especially for a service that could be crucial for people with disabilities, is downright frustrating. Charging people who may rely on transcription services due to auditory processing disorders or other needs feels particularly exploitative. Transcription tools should strive for accessibility, not put up paywalls at critical moments.

Overall, I would not recommend Notta to anyone looking for a reliable and transparent transcription service. There are better options out there that don’t engage in deceptive practices.

This is a scam so do yourself a favor and stay away! They advertise a 3 day free trial and when you activate it, your instantly billed unlike other honest websites. You can read other reviews here and they all tell the same story. When you try contacting their support email, they ignore all emails you send them and don't even reply. Crooks!

They stole my money.

They have 3 days free trial, I bought a subscription but it was charged immediately, and they never answer my emails for returning back the money. I think they are located in Asia, so they do whatever they want.

A horrible business model/scam. I last used the app on August 1, 2023 and on August 23, 2024 my credit card was debited for $98.99. I would have canceled had they given me notice of the upcoming payment. Evidently there is no way to turn off automatic renewal so if you forget to unsubscribe you will be billed. I've filed a dispute with my credit card issuer but I don't expect a refund.
