Orkin needs to hire competent workeers.
They said they were to arrive between 10-noon today.
I received a text at 11:46am saying they arrived at my address. No one was at my address. No vehicles were on my street. I called them and I was placed on hold for 18 minutes. Finally, a woman came on the line. I told her I was none too happy about being left on hold for 18 minutes and then told her what happened with the invisible service man. She said she shows that he was there and performed the service. Keep in mind, this is not the first time they lied about being at the house when they were not. She tried to convince me to give them another chance. That has been done before with the same no-show story. And too often in regards to billing matters. We are done. Cancelled them. The service guys who did come were often cordial and pleasant.
Dishonest, and I feel taken advantage of
I had Orkin come to my house on March 13th after spotting a mouse inside. When the technician arrived, he caused me a lot of stress by claiming that I had a mouse infestation and recommending that I remove all the insulation in my attic and replace it with their own. He pointed to what he claimed were tracks left by the mice in my insulation, saying there were a lot of them. The proposed solution was going to cost me over $10,000.
My wife wasn’t comfortable with this, so we decided to get a second opinion. Orkin charged me $270 for their visit, but all they did was place four poison traps for the mice. A second expert I called out was extremely honest and thorough—he walked through the entire house with me and showed me that the so-called "tracks" were actually just marks from the electrical wiring in the attic, not mouse trails. Turns out, I didn’t have a mouse infestation at all.
I’ve had mouse traps set for over two weeks now, and the house has been empty for over a week with no signs of mouse activity. The traps remain untouched. It appears that the poison Orkin placed may have killed the single mouse I had, but I can’t find it, and now there’s a terrible smell in the house.
I contacted Orkin to complain and was told a manager would call me back the same day, but it’s been three days and I’m still waiting for a response. I am demanding a refund. Orkin’s tactics were deceptive, and they tried to upsell me on unnecessary services. After I refused the $10,000 quote to replace the insulation, the technician called me back three times, and on the third call, he offered to do the work for just over $9,000. This is nothing short of extortion.
I would strongly recommend avoiding Orkin. They are dishonest, and I feel taken advantage of.

DO NOT TRUST ORKIN! I was told my home was infested with rats and that all the insulation in my attic was saturated with rodent urine and feces and all the insulation had to be removed and replaced. Gave me 2 options of either $10K or $13K. I got a 2nd opinion from ABC Pest Control. No Infestation, light activity and the need for some holes to be sealed. Traps will be set and maintained holes will be sealed with a 3 year guarantee for $1400.00.

After showing up late after calling office because they didn't come in the two hour window the two guys spent 55 minutes caulking house for mice prevention. They were to email pictures of what work they did but never did nor did I get a return email or callback from my attempts to reach them. What a waste of $3000.
All around bad. Especially the admin on the phone.
1. I asked them to show up on time because I was bedridden and couldn't open the door. My help was supposed to open the door. They showed up 3 hours later after my help left.
2. They rescheduled last minute two more times, wasting my money as I paid a person to wait to open the door.
3. I cancelled my services but the admin never register my cancellation.
4. Finally they showed up and serviced my home. The ants showed up a week later.
5. I cancelled the services
6. They showed up when I wasn't home and billed me for that.
7. I called to cancel again, the admin yelled at me. Probably won't cancel this time too. It's becoming a nightmare.
Charged for service on a house that was sold
My 89-year-old father had his house on the market and there was mouse activity. We contacted Orkin and made it clear that we needed short-term rodent control and that the service would end when the house was sold. I called when the house was in escrow to tell Orkin to come pick up the bait boxes and that the service was no longer needed. They picked up the bait boxes but then they supposedly did a service on 12/9/24 when the escrow was scheduled to close 12/11/24. They say they have no record of my call and that they need written notice to cancel. My father was charged $125 for service on a house that he doesn't even own now. I have tried calling Customer Service multiple times. The person who answers tells me they have to contact the local office. I sit on hold for 5 minutes and then they tell me nobody is answering so they will send a message and someone will contact me. Three times now and nobody has contacted me. My only option now is to dispute the credit card charge. I am not a happy daughter. I would never use this company again. We have a pest control service at our home and they are very good at communicating and doing just what we want them to do.

So disappointed! Have had a termite contract with Orkin for 30 years. I missed my annual payment in December due to dealing with life (surgery). When I was informed of the missed payment, I had one week to get a full inspection and "renew" the contract. Inspection was completed that day. Spent the next week following up with the local franchise and district corporate offices - making multiple calls each day, checking on status of renewal and if I needed to do anything to get complete it before the looming deadline.
Each call got one of two responses - call the other office or, "the person that handles that is in the field... I'll leave a note and have him call you back". But I never got one returned call.
When I finally reached the branch manager (4:55p on the last possible day to renew), he tells me there is no "renewal" process - I just needed to make the payment - but it was too late now because it was already in the system as cancelled!! He offered to reach out to the division mgr @ corporate to get an exception for renewal.
Another week of me calling for a status update and I'm told corporate denied the request.

I had bedbugs that my nephew brought into my house. They came and sprayed. A few weeks later I saw more of them. He came and sprayed again. 3 weeks later I saw more of them. He came again and sprayed. He told me it was a stronger solution so I had to be out of the house for 5 hours. 1 week later I saw two more on my bed! Obviously I’m going to have to call another company. It cost me over $800.00 . The technician that came was a nice guy. Only good thing I can say. Windsor Ont.

Orkin did a good of the pest control, however the price kept increaseing last increase the price 25% without anynotice. They also would not cancel the sevice until they received my payment which required me to have to call again to cancel.

Then the 3rd appointment the driver wasn’t even working, yet my confirmation e-mail wasn’t updated for a reschedule! Immediately followed by my 4th appointment where the driver wasn’t aware I was on his route for service.

Orkin scam on us
Orkin scam on us: We called the Orkin Pest control for the flea treatment with one time service on 4/9/2024. They charged on my card $349. We also did call them back for the lousy treatment after the resident complained it. However, they kept charging us every month, $119 on 5/30/2024, $119 on 7/22/2024, $150 on 8/33/2024, and 9/6/2024 on my old credit card 4094 5100 0135 7497. We contacted the Orkin Company and wanted to cancel the service on 11/24. They told me I had signed the contract agreement, which was obviously wrong since I never signed any agreement before. I asked to send me a copy. They sent me one fake agreement with forged signature. I asked them who signed it and who created this agreement. Then they said the tenant did it. I called the tenant but no one created this agreement and signed it. Also my tenant complained they never came back to the pest control treatment. We also filed a dispute on my credit card payment. The bank reversed the payments at the beginning but later, without any reason, they reversed back. Now they kept charging us another $238 on 1/7/2025.

Orkin Pest control service is awful
Orkin Pest control service is awful. I would never recommend anyone to use them. I was given an appointment for October 29,2024. No one showed up for the job I paid them for already which I have a contract with them. When they did not show up for the time of 11:00AM appointment I called them at 12:30pm. I was told the guy was out at Hunters Mountain with no signal to reach him. No one called me back after waiting all day until after 5:00PM. On October 31,2024 i called the company back and got the Manager Dough. He informed me that the receptionist Christine called me to reschedule which i informed him that was a lie. There was no message left on my phone neither was any incoming call was registered on my phone. They now gave me an appointment for November 6th from 12 Noon - 2:00PM. This is the worst company and I would not recommend them to anyone. I am going to report this business.

Of course when you sign up with Orkin there is the Up front 250$ fee then it's 43.50 monthly must sign for 7 months. Around the 5th month NO one showed to spray, I was not alerted of this then the auto billing was stopped for whatever reason. I finished the 7 months, and I owed a bill for the 2 months after they messed up the billing. I called to cancel, told them I would pay on the first of the month. They took out 43.50 anyways. I called to have this refunded as it was allotted for medicine. I was told I would get a call from someone to refund. Waited 2 days then got an email that they were sending someone out to spray like I NEVER asked twice to cancel. They are NO good at running business. Emails and Notes apparently Do not get looked at. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!
