Money wasted! This was a joke!
I called Orkin about a yellow jacket nest inside my wall, they said they could help. A supervisor and a guy that I can only assume was new ( I hope he was) came out. The supervisor sprayed some dust into the wall, several came out, and I was told they would all be dead within 48 hrs. They never all died, they moved to the back of my house. I called again, and the woman on the phone informed me they weren't responsible for stragglers. The supervisor came back out, I showed him where they were building a new nest. He said no, they are trying to get back to the old one, and that nest is dead. They never died, and they have built a new nest. And they are still coming out of the original nest,they have multiplied.I will have to call someone else. This was a joke, and money wasted. They sprayed for spiders, and I ended up with more spiders and webs than before. I never want to have anything to do with this company again.
Still waiting for a promised phone call
After several years as a customer, the last six months have been a nightmare seemingly because of turnover. July involved 2 tech no shows. I'm not getting confirmation emails. I'm getting mixed messages on where our old tech is. The icing on the cake was that I was promised the branch manager would call me because I'm understandably concerned that this will keep happening. I was assured he would call me after his 10am meeting. It's now 6pm. I'm just looking for reliable service.
Orkin- Beware, worst company!
Orkin is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They only care about getting you to pay for the initial contract rather than continuing business. They won’t return calls, do not show up for appointments or are many hours late when they actually do come. They always say we cannot handle your issue during this call, someone will call you back. I never once received a call back. They schedule you for service on the online account management page and then just keep changing it for a later date when they don’t show. This is done without a call or text to the homeowner. They collect your monthly payment without fail though and then you have to jump through hoops to get a refund. Do not waste your time or money on Orkin!

I live in Florida so inside pest control is a necessity I used two other services before and once I signed that agreement they didn't care about me at all.
Orkin was different - everytime my tech Ryan comes out he listens and responds my satisfaction is important to him and has been for the last 2 years. I won't be going with another company.

awful service - when I first called they talked about how they come out and examine the whole house, look for any problem areas and do an assessment. None of this was done and the guy they sent claimed he had a bad back so he couldn't address certain areas. he did a quick and very messy spray (white film all mover our floors) and then left. Meanwhile they charged me about $500. I have been trying to get a refund for the last 3 weeks and can't get a callback. This is a big corporate operation with zero attention to service. Avoid!
Lack of service.
I have (was) a customer for 15 years. Due to no shows and reschedules for pest control I cancelled that contract. Now I have cancelled my termite contract for no shows and the fact that they have not inspected the bait traps in years. I had to hunt and probe to find the traps. Some were almost two inches below the surface, some were missing the caps and full of dirt. Proof they have not been inspected per the contract.

I am writing regarding the work ORKIN did in my home last year, October 2023.
Orkin removed old insulation in the attic, in the home, and garage, then added foam insulation in the basement.
I have financed a high price for this service.
First and foremost, I was quoted $10,000.00 for the complete project. After I received the financing, I was charged over $12,000.00 then your company back peddled and stated OH NO, that was not the quote, the promise we made was the payment would be under $400.00. Sadly, this was a verbal quote and I have no proof YOU LIED!
Second, the foam put in downstairs was not cleaned up nor was it completed, I hired someone to finish the job. Don’t worry, I used a different type, therefore you can see the difference. In some areas the product is so thin it’s an insulation joke!
Then we come to the attics, your rodent resistant insulation is nothing more than “SNAKE OIL”!
Shortly after this job was completed, the rodents returned!

I hired someone to come in and pull open the attic access in the house, when they did this, the rodent feces is unbelievable.
Yes, I have proof, I took pictures of the insulation that fell to the hallway floor, with a lot of feces and insulation.
I am damn angry! I financed a lot of money and have no improvement! If I was not a person that works very hard at keeping a good credit rating, I would not make one more payment on this financed debacle!
Your service is not about Investigate, Protect, Fortify, Keep Watch, Report, Follow Up,
I truly believe I am a victim of fraud!

Late and terrible communication
They were an hour and a half late for service. Between 9am-11am was my scheduled time. I called at 11 to see what was going on, they said they would be there in 30 minutes (11:30) At 12:15 they were still not there so I called again. They arrived around 12:40. Irritating! I was also NOT informed that I had to leave my house for 4 HOURS after treatment until the technician arrived. I was also signed up for the wrong service and it had to be corrected by the technician. The technicians were extremely nice and very quick, but the communication within the company itself is terrible. I'm glad the treatment is done, but my entire day was ruined because information was not correctly provided and they were late. Had it not been an emergency of services needed, I would have went elsewhere. Communication needs a LOT of work at this company.

My Orkin guy Antonio is the best!! He gave me the rundown on what would happen over the next month and it worked out just like he said. Im so impressed with his services. I cant give him enough props he did a great job.
Orkin sales rep lied
Orkin sales representative straight up lied. He offered me a one time service for $188 and when he booked, I got a text saying your initial service is scheduled. (Meaning there will be more). I contacted Orkin management and they cancelled my appointment since what the sales rep said was a lie. Do not recommend
Not impressed
The previous company I worked with (Integrity Pest Management) was local and I never had a problem. They would show up quarterly and spend 20-30 minutes going around inspecting the termite traps. Then Orkin took over a year ago - two scruffy dudes that looked like they just got out of rehab showed up and spent 5 minutes doing something, then came back and said all was good - now they want $300 for a once a year inspection. Cannot recommend

This is the first time in my entire life of 28 years that I had to create an account on here to leave a negative review. If you are even considering using Orkin, PLEASE. I beg you, to use any other services.
I originally had reached out to Orkin for some rodent issues. I could go on for paragraphs about how little to no help they actually provided for getting rid of the rodents- but that's not the point of this review.
I discussed with my original agent how I'd like to sign on for 1 year, and cancel then. (About 1 year and 3 months later, I realize they kept charging me) You know what? Fair. Maybe I didn't read the contract correctly. Completely fine. I gave them no issues and asked if I could cancel now, and refund any remaining balance I still had. This was "no issue" for them and they said they'd refund the balance to my credit card within 3-5 business days. How nice! It was a quick and easy call and I'd be getting some money back.
Until I waited over 3 weeks. 4 times the max of their expected refund time. Even then, I reached out politely and asked if there was any update. After waiting even longer, they notified me that due to issues, they'd have to disburse my refund through a check and that it would take 2-3 weeks. Okay.. well then it should have arrived by now, right? Well no, they actually only sent out the check a couple days ago when I followed up again.
I gave them no issues then. Understood, things happen. I have no reason to argue with a pest control company, I know how customer service gets.
I wait a few more weeks and the check never arrives. I follow up AGAIN. Turns out the check got lost and they didn't realize until I called. They then tell me they'll "expedite" this next check.. which will take 1-2 weeks.
At this point, in an email, I outlined the entire process and waiting period I've waited for this simple refund. Another person immediately calls me and tells me they understand the situation is unacceptable and that they'll reach out to an office located near me to get the check to me in 1-2 days. She says before the end of that day, she'll give me a call back to update me. (Doesn't call me back)
After 6 more days, I email them again to follow up. A gentleman calls me, without an ounce of apologetic behavior, and tells me that they now have to wait for the "lost check to come back to them, so they can now resend the check to me." I don't even know how this makes sense. He says now they don't have any timeline because they don't know how long it will take for this check to get to them, but once he receives it "it's up to the mailman on how long it gets back to you."
I told him I've been extremely patient and polite about this whole situation, but at this point he has to realize how ridiculous this is. As I'm asking questions, the call goes silent. (I am not blaming him for this part, calls disconnect all the time) BUT, he doesn't follow up at all and just leaves the situation at that. It is up to the business to follow back up when a customer has a complaint like this.
DO NOT USE ORKIN SERVICES. EVER. I should've listened to the many people that warned me both in person, and like the reviews on this website and many others.
I asked for a refund May 9th, it is now June 19th. With no timeline of when to expect this check. Let's hope I at least receive it in 2024
FREE TERMITE INSPECTION SCAM!
I'm a Real Estate Agent in the Tulsa Metro. DO NOT do their "free" termite inspection as you will have to SIGN UP FOR A BAIT SYSTEM EVEN WITH NO ACTIVITY FOUND to get a "report"! This is the biggest, grossest SCAM I've ever heard of. Contact another Termite company that WILL GIVE YOU A COMPLETELY FREE INSPECTION AND REPORT!
Orkin (Orillia) Extremely poor service
Orkin (Orillia) has been to our small 2 bedroom apartment 3 times in 2 months for bed bugs. My Mum and Dad live there and my Mum is under Palliative care and its difficult to have my 95 year old parents moved out for the day (but we do it to solve issue) to treat Apt. 2 days after last or 3rd treatment I see 4 bed bugs crawling over my Mum.
Ive never witnessed this kind off treatment failure in my life. I thought this was a reputable company. Extremely disappointed. If there was a negative star they would get it!
Orkin to our rescuse from the mice menace
About two years ago we contacted Orkin about mice in our house. They did a thorough inspection, inside and outside, and developed a plan to take care of the specific problem as well as other rodents and pests and termites (our neighbor had a termite problem; we were doing this as a preventative measure for our home). The plan was expensive, but we decided to go ahead because the mice were serious. Orkin cleaned out a large crawl space and sealed it inside and out because it was the main access for the mice. They did the same in the attic and other areas. The service included once-a-month inspections and treatments if needed, then every two months after the first year. Today was the first time we saw a dead mouse and droppings in the attic. We called Orkin, and a tech came to our home a few hours after the call and removed the mouse and droppings. He said they would send a specialist out to look for one or more hidden nests and to resolve any problem he/she found. We're extremely pleased with Orkin's service and thinl it is well worth the initial cost. We recommend them.

1 STAR is too much! These morons wasted my time over 20 minutes setting up an account (because they wouldn't give any info without an account) even for a new service request.
Then the inspection would take a couple of weeks, and then a couple of weeks after that would be the treatment.
It'd be faster if I were to individually pickup the bugs and dispose of them myself. Sad part is that I told them all of this BEFORE setting up the account and they said it can all be done in the same day!

DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER SERVICE
I contacted Orkin for a pantry moth infestation. They assured effective extermination to rid the problem while offering total household pest control as a one year service contract (note; I had no issues with other pest). Their treatment was totally ineffective for moth. The only attention given for moth was the SAME glue trap types readily available in stores. I eventually eradicated the problem on my own but couldn’t cancel the contract until after a full year. I cancelled accordingly after the 1 year period (March 2024). However, the last service month did not include the general outdoor spray due to snow. The technician advised that I could contact them when the weather improved for a return outdoor treatment. I was not given a time window limit. Upon my recent contact to complete that service, I was advised they would not provide the service despite previously charging my credit card for a full indoor/outdoor pest control service in March. They refused to acknowledge the concern and offered no remedy for at a minimum a partial refund. Any additional service would require a “one time” service charge. I would not recommend this company. Customer service/concern was poor. ORTHO pest control products are darn good if you can “do it yourself”. I also found a pantry moth product on Amazon that has worked very well. Beware of contract obligations which are meant to limit cancellation options and forces locked in automatic payments to this company. Specifically, do not call for moth control.

Worse experience 😪 the contractor told me all these things would be done all I wanted was spray for water bugs and secure and redo my vents around the house which he said would be secured then man said I needed to replace Floor only because it was dead things on it dead snake skin etc they left the dead snake in all the vents did not cement or secure the vents they were hanging off not cemented and even when I called they said o the contractor messed up he didn't put in contract to seal the vents 5000 later and that was all I wanted was secured vents main reason he said it cost so much to replace my old vents is because they would be secured and cemented in they messed up money etc then said o i need a new door nothing was wrong with old door 600 but not focused or time taking to put vents in correctly and I called over and over vents still not cemented in like I said 5000 dollars later

We had the m for a contract and wound up canceling. They told us that they would treat the out buildings and house. They also did a termite inspection and was told that there was no termites They didn't clean the cob webs, spray the outside buildings treat the back yard, and termite were found one week later and th3y ate trough the door seal and caused a lo t of damage. They also cha4ged us more then what the sales man said it would be. In my experience I wouldn't go with this company
