May 2023 contracted with Orkin with 90 day same as cash option- with interest to be deducted on 91st day on remaining balance if any- however all of my payments made within the 90 day period had interest deducted from the payment-contacted Orkin via telephone & email regarding this deceptive practice- given a nonsensical explanation & brushed off- this deceptive practice seems to be illegal- Is there a Consumer Advocate employed by Orkin?

I paid for Orkin to seal my house and to put insulation to keep our mice. They did not clean up and told me I had to use a leaf blower to blow the insulation. My entire house had insulation particles everywhere. They blew that insulation in the attic. They broke one of my flanges in the attic and left it that way. It is still very dirty in my attic. I called them several times and they said they would send the inspector out. He never came to look over the issue. They sent a worker who knew nothing about the job. I had to finance the work so Orkin got their money so there is no way I can hold them accountable for the poor work that they did. I will never recommend them for anything and will cancel my contract if I can. I plan to call the local television station to get some help. They are very unprofessional.

I hired Orkin to get rid of two squirrels from my siding and rats that climbed into pipes from a vent on my roof. For my first appointment they showed up in the last 15 minutes of the 2 hour window at the very end of the day. They sprayed around my property, which I did not ask for. They told me I had no rat problems inside the house (I know, they are contained in the 115 years old rusty cast-iron pipes, but I would still like them gone.) They told me it would be thousands more to install a squirrel exclusion door. I am now out $200 and still have squirrels in my siding and rats in my pipes.

They are too expensive. I has them for less than a month. It cost me over $300. Do your homework. Find another company that doesn't secretly sign you up for a one year contract. My Home Defense I had been using for years worked better than this stuff.

We hired Orkin to remove squirrels from our attic and replace all insulation. One month and $14,000 later there was NO follow up as promised in our contract. Dead animals were not removed and two appointments with management were no shows. We also had expensive luggage stolen. When I explained this by phone to a manager he said "oh did the supervisor have a mustache? Yeah, he was fired. I took his place."
Our monthly Orkin inspector is a fine man and he has asked management to please call us. Nothing. I'm going to seek a legal remedy out of principle.

These people do not respect when you have dogs. I have 6 dogs and they ALWAYS show up unannounced. They may give a 2 hour window but they have been answer numerous times to call before you get here. They still won’t after 3 yrs.

Over the years, Orkin has overcharged me for services I have paid them to fix. Work that they had initially done incorrectly, one time they even put a vapor barrier right over top of the previous one, which they had laid down originally, without removing/cleaning the previous one, just proceeded to put it right over top of previous stuff. Then they wanted to charge me more money to fix the problem(that I had just paid to have fixed) because it was done wrong. I feel they took advantage of me because i lived out of State, and the house was a rental. I finally got tired of getting taken advantage of and got 2 other companies to give me estimate. Both of those estimates were half the Orkin estimate. They then sent another estimate with lower prices, they are the worst. I would have given them a - 5 rating, but I couldn't. The shame is I had put up with this for over 25 years. I finally ended my services only to find out I had double paid this year, and was not given a refund until I asked.I also was told that I could not get a partial refund for the year's service I had already paid, that the service will just end at the end of the year contract. They are unable to offer any refund, since it expires in April, although my service has been cancelled. Seems like a new service guy every year and they try to make money on the previous guy's mistake. Beware!!!

This is the worst place that you could ever go. Go to get help for bed bugs. They came into our home 3/2023 they made us prep our house and we did the best job ever according to the man that came to spray they came back two other times because we continued to see them and when we call them the third time they refused to come back they guarantee this and we never got rid of them now we're living in pure hell because of Orkin

The company charged me double price. The salesperson is super sweet. With the greatest sweetness he charged me double and never called me back to resolve the issue

I was led to believe we were going to have two visits and they did those. Now I just received a confirmation they were coming for another visit. They informed me that we signed up for a year contract. I signed a paper when they came for first visit the technician told me it was just confirmation that he did the service that day. I just read it and it was a year contract. I am VERY ANGRY with their dishonesty. I will never use them again or recommend them.

We live in CT and hired Orkin for rats in our 3 family house in 2023 what a disgusting company. First person they sent didn’t know anything to do. Second person said first person does not know what to do. He filled more holes. Third person came he was much better found where they were entering the house, we had to fix this. He at least tried. Fourth person came that they said was their rat expert. He at least checked all the rooms. Set 3 paper box traps in the house and sprayed something outside of house. Found holes that others had missed due to neglecting to look in all the areas.

He was going to our 1st floor apartment to check it. I asked aren’t you going to fill holes in my apartment. He stated they don’t have supplies with them for that. What are they thinking. So he goes down stairs rats have chewed what they have put in holes and are accessing her apartment again. Plus the other 3 had missed holes. But nothing to fill holes so they are getting in her apartment and looking at her. Horrible! He said he has to go back to office they will discuss the problem, come up with a plan. Has been weeks and he has never returned nor have we been contacted.

The rats have chewed on her curtains. We have caught probable 14 rats over about a two year period ourselves. Orkin has caught none. We had decided to hire professional to get this cleaned up. They are now chewing on the flooring in my bathroom and chewing on paint on steam heat covers. I want to sell and move.

Today I have started trying to contact them by phone. Was having to leave voice messages. Got Byron in Atlanta. He was a real piece of work. His sarcasm was so disrespectful. Is going to have a manager call back.

Do not use these people… they do return but are unskilled or don’t have what is needed to complete job. I am canceling service and doing chargebacks.

Orkin in Lanham MD. I paid $170 for initial treatment and inspection (guy spent 10 minutes in my home). He sprayed edges and set some traps. Sure we saw dead roches right away, there were lots of them. They charge $170 per two months (coming once every two months). I did not see much improvement after the first few days. You have to call directly if you want them to come sooner than every other month--they will do that. They came the month after, and roach pronlem was worst. So I called again to schedule next month, Except they failed to show up twice after that. I had asked earlier how long it may take to solve the roach problem, they had said about three treatments. There is no way in hell that could be true. Its a scam to keep you paying every other month. At that rate, it would have taken years, so what is the point of that when you want to resolve an immediate problem. They refused to return my money, only returning an additional payment I had made but never received. Client beware.

I contracted Orkin to control a rodent problem in my homes interior. Response was great. Respondent placed several poison bait traps on the interior and exterior of the house and sprayed most but not all of the exterior of the homes perimeter to control insects. Months later I had to call Orkin to inquire why there was no follow up. Same guy showed up a few days later to refill the outdoor traps and again partially resprayed the homes exterior perimeter. Interior traps were ignored because it was explained that the exterior will prevent rodents from ingress into the home. Fair enough! It’s been approx. 1 month since the exterior traps were refilled and now the rodents are currently using these as nests. (complaint #1) There was no follow up until I called several months later after initial contact #2 No follow up after second contact. #3 what am I supposed to do with all these traps, there’s many! #4 They charged me more than $500 Canadian for what was explained as a years worth of service that was nothing more than laying a bunch of traps and a partial spray of the homes exterior. I recommend you do your due diligence, save your money and do it yourself. In my opinion based on my personal experience Orkin is/ was a waiste of money.

This company has been Legit for as long as I can think. Now I pay for service people on the phone are rude and could careless about the customer. Managment refuses to do the job sold and promised orkin is no longer a top notch competitor look elsewhere people because this company is about the green no longer about great service sad but true !!!!

Writing from Atlanta. Very poor service!! Not show up with appointment and doesn’t care even to call back to reschedule after they make you wait for hours. Doesn’t do their job properly. They failed to find out some sort of rodents or small animal digging a hole near a foundation of my house exposing it to rain water pouring in to the foundation. I stumbled on those holes while doing things around my house. The holes appeared to be there for longtime and I completely relied on them to properly inspect my property and find out this kind of problem which they are supposed to. After I called them to come and see and mitigate the problem, they didn’t show up on the appointment. After lots of back and forth, they came and then gave me another appointment to seal those holes and put a trap. Then again not show up for that appointment and even didnt care to call me back to say why then didn’t show up. Worst company I have ever dealt with. Extremely poor service and dangerously careless. I am cancelling my service with them and I am sure I won’t get a worse service than Orkin”s by going with some other company.

Manger Derek was terrible. Was charged for a service that I was told would be covered for free under their conditions of coming back for free since the pest was not controlled. Was charged anyway and when calling back was told I would be refunded. No refund to weeks later and the manager goes back on his word saying it was a billable service. Only reason it was billable was because it was on September first. The previous service was August 17th, and prior to that July 28th. Even though three services in 5 weeks, because they were all separate months I get charged for all three. Do not use this service they will rip you off.

I am the property manager of a mobile home park. I have a tenant that has mice...after scheduling an appointment with the "local" Orkin company out of Great Falls, MT and after ENSURING they will work with a 30day net payment, the tech arrived and was unwilling to complete the treatment without payment up front. After getting the correct information regarding payment (to put a card on file that they can charge at the time of service), I rescheduled the tech to come back out. It was going to be a month wait, because they are pretty far from me, which I was fine with. However, that day came and went with a no call-no show. I have since called back 3 times. The 1st 2 times I was told a tech or someone would call me back to schedule the appointment and it never happened. Today on my 3rd call, after being on hold for 15 minutes, I was hung up on. My biggest problem here is that Orkin is my ONLY option. We are remote and don't have a pest control company any closer to us than the Orkin in Great Falls. And so now I have a tenant with mice that I can't help and I feel terrible that this lovely lady has to live with unwelcome house guests because Orkin can't be bothered.

My gas station has employed Orkin for the past two years and I swear to God they always send an inept goon who walks around spraying crap, does nothing at all about the bugs we have, then leaves.
I can’t believe they get paid!

We started to use Orkin ever since we became home owners. The maintenance on the home is rather challenging in terms of getting rid of bugs, rodents and etc. we had issues with dead animals in the attic, annoying flies during the summer season and most importantly, the outrageous mosquitoes are just won’t go away. Then we called Orkin and scheduled an in-home visit within 2 days. The guy was friendly and knowledgeable. He walked around the perimeter of the house and did some research, then he told us the situation and let us know what he would be doing next. The whole thing takes about 20-30 mins and after that was done, he told us to stay indoor for 1 hour so the chemicals will fade and won’t be toxic to breathe in. He also told us he would do a follow up visit within 7 days which never happened. We had to call twice to get it scheduled for the following month. What’s more, the lady on phone was not friendly at all. My experience was really bad for this company. And we still get mosquitoes so their service is clearly not working.

I had a roach problem not really bad ...now it is awful every day I kill babies and moms about to have more babies ..the spray has ruined all the paint on my walls I am very upset ...
