I purchased a pair of Hayes Brown trainers from Oswin Hyde around six months ago and have been extremely impressed with both the quality of the shoes and the level of customer service I’ve received.
The shoes have been comfortable, stylish, and have held up very well over time. More importantly, when I recently needed assistance with a damaged shoelace, Oswin Hyde’s customer care team were responsive, helpful, and genuinely interested in resolving the issue.

Very disappointed with both the product…
Very disappointed with both the product quality and customer service.
After only occasional use since January, the heel cap detached completely from one shoe while the other remains intact. I contacted customer service politely and provided photos, but my follow-up emails and Facebook messages are now being ignored entirely.
The lack of communication and unwillingness to properly address a legitimate concern comes across as extremely unprofessional and dismissive towards customers.
Update – June 2026
Following my original review, Oswin Hyde publicly responded that my case had been escalated to management and that I would receive an update within 2–3 working days.
That deadline passed without any update. I then sent a further email requesting a final response before taking formal action. Unfortunately, I have still not received any substantive reply.
What is most disappointing is not the value of the claim, but the lack of communication. I genuinely liked the shoes and simply wanted a fair resolution to what I believe is a genuine product issue.
I hope Oswin Hyde will still engage with this matter and provide a proper response.
UPDATE – June 2026
Following my original review, Oswin Hyde publicly stated that my case had been escalated to management and that they were committed to finding a resolution. I was also informed by email that I would receive an update within 2–3 working days.
That deadline passed without any communication, and only after further follow-up did I eventually receive a final response from management.
The company rejected my claim, concluding that the heel cap must have detached after catching on an external object. However, this conclusion appears to have been reached solely from photographs. No inspection of the shoes was carried out, and no evidence was provided to demonstrate that the heel cap had actually caught on anything.
The photographs show that the heel cap is missing, but they do not establish how or why it became detached. I explained that the shoes had been purchased in January and worn only occasionally before the failure occurred.
While I appreciate that the company eventually provided a formal response, I remain disappointed both by the quality of communication throughout the process and by a decision that appears to be based on assumption rather than verifiable facts.
Readers can make up their own minds, but based on my experience I would not purchase from this company again.
