We were due to renew our insurance and had an email to say the payment had been declined- we needed to contact them to give new card details
So, I tried on the chat line which just kept saying to call them, there was nowhere in the account details that I could amend/add our new card details
The app is totally rubbish and not fit for purpose
The first time I called I eventually got through and spoke to a guy and I said I wanted to pay the renewal, I couldn’t hear him as he was on n a call centre and all I could hear were other conversations with customers, I said I couldn’t hear him and only his colleagues, he said he would adjust his head phones, after 5 minutes of waiting and listening to everybody else he just cut me off
I tried again the next day…. 15 minutes and nothing, just got cut off
I tried once more later on and the same thing, I just couldn’t get through
If the app worked properly then I wouldn’t have had to waste my life trying to speak to somebody, really not good enough
We took our business elsewhere and got it cheaper
Hopefully this review will be read by the company and acted upon

I am very disappointed with the way Performance Direct handles customers.
At renewal, my insurance premium increased by £50 compared to the previous year, which was already frustrating. However, the real issue came later.
Just three months after renewing my policy, I sold my van and no longer needed the insurance. When I contacted them to cancel, I was told I would be charged a cancellation fee of £959. This is completely unreasonable and feels highly unfair, especially considering I sold the vehicle for £2,000. Being asked to pay almost half the value of the van just to cancel the policy is unacceptable.
Overall, I feel the company lacks fairness and transparency when it comes to cancellations and charges. I would not recommend them based on this experience.

Needed to increase guaranteed value of my modern classic car. Surprised and please that the premium was a lot less than anticipated.

Straight forward process to insure my classic car after being with the same company for many years they just suddenly decided that they didn’t want to insure that type of car anymore due to age, cost and high risk so Performance Direct just stepped up and cheaper too so good result all round 🏆🏆🏆
