Asda pharmacy (my local one) is the…
Asda pharmacy (my local one) is the worst pharmacy or customer service in general i have ever had the misfortune to deal with. I have used this pharmacy along with several other family members (including my 2 children) for well over 15 years so I’ve seen a lot of staff come and go. It has went so down hill it’s unbelievable. It’s not just the complete incompetence of the team it’s their attitude towards customers. This is the first bad review I have ever written about anyone. I can assure you I rarely say anything negative about anyone unless it’s absolutely necessary so I’m not a general complainer. Normally I would just move on and let people get on with things BUT I feel like I have to raise this as they’re messing with peoples health here. I’ll not go too far into it but I have a quite serious health condition and I have to without exception take 4 different meds morning and night. If I even miss 1 dose it could be severe. Basically because one of my medication is awkward apparently (Lamotrigine) to get in I was just a hindrance to them and they would be so rude as I was causing them extra work and on 1 occasion they actually said that. I would request the prescription on my patient app, the GP would approve it and send it straight to the pharmacy. It states it could take 24-48 hours to be ready what is normal. I could wait up to 2 weeks and they’ve lied and said they had ordered it then someone else slipped up and said they forgot to order it. They’ve also said that the GP hasn’t sent it so when I rang him to ask him to resend it to them he already had and he wanted to call them to see what was happening rang up. They changed their story but was absolutely furious as I had basically dropped them in it for lying (as if it was my fault). Errors happen but it’s hard to except that when it was every other month. The main pharmacist was probably the bitchiest one and when I called in one time and it wasn’t there I suggested if it would be possible or easier to just order them in anyway they’ll have to order them anyway but it would save me from waiting and panicking as that’s my nominated pharmacy and she went ballistic, actually shouted at me “we can’t stock everyone’s medication”. That’s understandable but if you know you have to order it every 56 days and it’s so hard to get in then surely it would make sense (I’ve now found out that they can and should have done that for me). See I’m not allowed to drive now but most of my family or friends shop in Asda so I can get people to collect it for me otherwise I would have changed a long time ago. I also don’t see why I should when I’ve been using it longer than some of them have been out of nappies. Thats annoying too, I’m 41 and I’ve got some 20 year old upstart treating me like crap because I’m picking up medication. When other people picked it up on occasions they were so nice to them until they said my surname and they would just change and sometimes even walk off and deliberately make them stand 15-30 mins while they “looked” for it. I tried to talk to them twice and try and sort out why they were like that with me and I told them I didn’t know what I did for them to hate me and I just got shrugged shoulders and “don’t have a problem”. I told one lady that I worked in department stores since leaving school so I know you can get some complete DHead customers so I know I’m not one I know how to treat staff as I know what it’s like. In the other side of that though I know how to treat customers too and I’ve been nicer to the DH’s than they were to me and that’s saying something considering I’ve never not treat them nice I’ve even tried to start conversations on things like what’s it like working here and other general chitchat. Honestly they are just awful. They’re just a bunch of nasties standing in the back room talking about people in the queue, you can see from the desk. There is one young lad there and he seems ok but probably scared to go against the clique or they’ll turn on him too. Anyway long story short I missed tablets, had a very bad few days, GP forced a move to a new pharmacy and all is so much easier as they are lush. I know their job is a hell of lot more important than mine at NEXT as they’re dealing with people’s health essentially but surely that means you can still be nice and more importantly do your job right. Tablets are there ready and they can’t understand why they said the Lamotragine tablets were so hard to get hold of as they are so widely used. I haven’t put a complaint in though because I’m not going to be the reason for someone loosing their job still but at least writing this other people can be made aware and wide birth them.
Fosse Park Leicester Store
Booked a private flu jab on 12.12.25 for today at the Fosse Park ASDA. Turned up and they said they had no vaccinations. The woman at the pharmacy was not helpful at all. No communication by text or email at all to say the appointment was cancelled. Waste of a 8 mile round trip.
Flu Jab
Booked a flu jab was cancelled with no reason and no alternaive date offered
Very poor service
what a joke…
I appreciate a lunch break but a teatime break???? There are 3 people behind the counter and not one would serve me just to pick up a prescription between 4.30 to 5pm
An absolute joke….
Asda Pharmacy Perry Barr, Birmingham
Allowing online bookings for flu jabs when they don't have any in stock. I wasted a whole morning in the pouring rain and was left cold & wet which ironically has now started to make me feel unwell.
Flu jab booked? Don’t be so sure.
Booked a flu jab on 16th November for 16th December. They cancelled it on 11th December. The email they sent was really chummy, including comments like “Don’t worry, we’ve taken care of everything” and, if I didn’t want to cancel (which of course I didn’t), “that’s not a problem, although you probably need to rebook it”. No apology or explanation. Worst customer service I can possibly imagine.

Booked a flu jab online but then it was cancelled with no reason provided the next day. The text said to rebook, which I did, only for that to be cancelled. Why would you have lots of appointment availability online only to cancel appointments and mess people around. Seems a marketing strategy to me to offer a service but not fulfil it!
Asda Grantham Pharmacy do better.
This is Asda at BOSTON Lincolnshire.
Horrendous, waited an hour after being told the wait is 20 minutes, you need more staff serving and pharmacists. Staff allowing people to push to the front of the queue in front of the 10 people and they did see them push in but allowed it anyway. Absolutely disgusting. You need to sort this out, i use to work as a customer service manager and wouldn’t allow people to push in the queue, I told them there was a queue and they need to join it. You could see people with disabilities standing there and suffering because of the customer who pushed in and the lack os staff.

Had realised I was flaring up with impetigo, knew as I’ve had it before. Sent my boyfriend to the Asda pharmacy for the correct cream and they asked him for photos before dispensing the cream. The pharmacist claimed it did not look like impetigo and refused to give him the cream. Due to this being a weekend I had to wait until today to get to a doctor to be told late in the day that I do in fact have impetigo and the medicine will not arrive for “a couple” of days. My condition has worsened significantly and could have been prevented had the pharmacist had accurate knowledge or at the very least the trust of a person who is familiar with the condition and knew what they needed.

If I could give then a minus score I would. Absolutely appalling service. The one in my local store closes for breaks - not seen that since the 70’s when we had half day closing! It doesn’t matter in the length of time they have had your repeat prescription in their possession, it is never made up ready. Average wait to get served and handed your items is 30 minutes. All staff seem demoralised and like they’re not there to do any actual work. Serving you is a huge chore. Is the ‘it will be ready in 20 minutes’ a ploy to get you spending in their store??? Call me cynical but I believe this to be their modus operandi.
Asda Pharmacy Gateshead is the most…
Asda Pharmacy Gateshead is the most unreliable and slow pharmacy I have ever come across every time I come to pick up my wife’s medication it’s never ready even when there is no one at the counter it’s the same every time “sorry it’s not ready it will be at least another 15 min I have now asked my wife to change pharmacy as I will never go again worst service of any pharmacy I have ever come across
I have never experienced such an…
I have never experienced such an unprofessional, stressful, and poorly managed service from a pharmacy. My medication was mishandled from start. The delivery was incorrectly marked as “missed” despite me being home, and then I was threatened that if it happened again they would destroy my medication and I wouldn’t get a refund.
To make matters worse, the medication was left out of the fridge for days, and I was then told I had to use it within 30 days from the original dispatch—even though this delay was entirely their fault. No accountability, no apology, and no proper solution offered. I was simply told I couldn’t have a refund.
This is medication people rely on for their health. The lack of care, the dismissive attitude, and the refusal to take responsibility is shocking. I would strongly advise others to think twice before using Asda Online Pharmacy with something as important as their prescriptions.
very poor service
very poor service. Pharmacist not avalible on 3 times when vistited in 2 days.
I would recommend any of the other pharmacys in oadby especially Somerby pharmacy / health quarters that are amazing.
5 stars excellent service
5 stars excellent service , easy to order and next day delivery. I highly recommend this service
Worst pharmacy ever!
Worst pharmacy ever!
Medication is never ready on time, even after prescriptions have been say there for over 3 days!
Staff can be quite rude and never pick up the phone when I have called ahead.
Unfortunately it is the only pharmacy that is open late in the local area!
Avoid this place at all costs!
This one is for Morley Asda Pharmacy
This one is for Morley, Leeds pharmacy- absolutely hate this pharmacy! Opening hours on website say ‘open all day’ rock up between 16:30 & 5pm today and they’re closed because all 3-4 staff need to have their break at the same time! I’ve complained 3 times and still it’s closed at random times throughout the day! When it is open meds are seldom ready and of course they all love to shout out your personal details for everyone to hear - I swear they teach this at pharmacy school! Awful service. The only reason I chose this one is because it’s open late and weekends only to find 3 times now, that it’s closed!

Hi has anyone had any problems with asda radcliffe pharmacy ? The attitude on the staff is absolutley disgusting especially the asian girl speaking down to me and infront of customers discussing the personal private problem i went in with...no respect at all, upon waiting for my taxi outside i spoke with 5 different people who have had similar problems with the staff and service...I put a prescription in on monday last week and asked them would it be ready for friday as thats when i run out, ( very important heart medication ), i was told it would be ready but when i rang friday morning they said it wont be ready until tuesday wednesday the week after as they have a back log...as a pharmacist he should know that you can not just abruptly stop certain medications especially if they are keeping you alive...I took the prescription and went elsewhere. Ive never been spoken to with such attitude like i did off the young asian girl,no respect for the elders not to mention i am a customer you work for me and if it wasnt for people like me you wouldnt be in the job,i am 76 and even my own children and grand children havent treated me the way i was treated....sorry for the paragraph i dont have much company nowadays so it feels good to talk to someone about this....who do i complain too? Who is the highest people whom i can complain as i will take this all the way to the top
Please don't use the company
Please don't use the company. I sent back two pens with faults.I have spent the best part of £1000.00. So should not have to go through the terrible service. I took the pens to an Asda pharmacist as asked by the online doctor. The Asda pharmacist confirmed that they were faulty. He emailed the online Asda pharmacy company. I was promised that replacements would be sent once I show the proof of delivery. I did all of that. Result: they accused the pharmacist of leaving the needles on. He certainly did not. That implies he's negligent. Online Asda said that they had to dispose of the pens and no replacement would be sent. It didn't seem to matter what I said. The fact that I did exactly as they asked. Needles were not left on. Even the local Asda pharmacist kept resending the email as proof that the pens were faulty. They even started saying that they hadn't received the pens back. So I kept sending proof of delivery. This whole thing has taken me over ten hours of fighting for my rights. Eventually today they promise to send the replacements out. But you should not have to go through this. These injections are not cheap. The local Asda pharmacist told me that the online pharmacist play hardball and they always do this to their customers. It's just awful and very upsetting when you have done everything right. They sold faulty pens and you have to spend so long fighting for what you are entitled to.
Poor service
Went for a flu jab which I booked online 10.30am got there early as requested. To then be asked my age and then be told after waiting all this time at 10.41 they ran out and can’t do me I’ll have to come back which I do not understand why they did not tell me sooner as I was sat there a while or just cancel me before I travelled over. I have travelled far and specifically for this. No apology or care given.
Good but need to answer phone
After trying to get through for ages . When I did the lady was very helpful
