Great planters, good value for money

The terracotta plant pot was delivered later than the advertised 3 -4 working days. Arrived on a very heavy large pallet that was not taken away, resulting in me spending further money on having it recycled. The pallet was bigger and heavier than the plant pot and was delivered on a small crane. Not suitable for domestic customers.

Really nice product, delivered on time and no issues

We were looking at replacing some galvanized square planters bought at the Chelsea flower show in the early 2000s. They finally gave up with some holes. Not bad going considering the amount of moves they have been through over the years. The design of the square galvanized planters in silver grey was appealing so we ordered two. They arrived within 48h. Both packaged well, no dent or scratch and have been put to good use with some lavender bushes in them.
Time will tell if the quality will match the previous ones.
The site is easy to navigate and order from. Prices are OK.

I ordered a 50cms square, grey metal planter for our patio. Delivered speedily and very well packed. Was impressed by the fact a liner was supplied. Awaiting delivery next week of the 6ft standard bay tree it’s intended to hold. I’m very pleased with my purchase and will certainly consider buying from Planters again.

I searched online for a 1m x .4m x 0.4m metal planter and found one on Planters thay I liked. Once I paid received prompt reply and updates from Planters and courier service. The item arrived within a week of order and i am very happy with the product. It is suppposed to be galvanised so do not expect rust stains to come through. A very good experience overall.

Solidly made Corten steel planters that were easy to assemble, stable and well finished.
Rapid delivery as promised and well packaged to protect the items.

Twice ordered items that were listed on their website but as soon as the order went through and money was taken, the items were no longer available. They are clearly having issues with their supply chain but they shouldn't list items that are not in stock. I wasted weeks waiting for something that was never going to be delivered. They also send no updates, just leave you waiting. Avoid!

I will start this review by saying that planters.co.uk after sales support and customer service has actually been pretty good. There was no begging or insisting for replacements or refunds.

That said, the products are unbelievably poor quality. We bought the pine planter with feet back in March. 2 weeks later it still had not arrived. I emailed and was told that my order did not exist on their system. After a bit of back and forth, a manager got involved, found my order, and organised a replacement to be sent out.

A further two weeks later and still no planter. I emailed the same manager who mentioned delays receiving stock from Ukraine. So was the replacement a lie? Whatever. Either way a second replacement is sent out.

Finally we receive our planter a few days ago. The courier did not knock and just left the package outside in the rain, on the street. By the time I found it, the box had been torn up and I believe our liner and some of the fixings had been stolen. Or perhaps lost in transit by the courier. Not the sellers fault but still frustrating.

On opening the box, I couldn't believe the poor quality. Split wood, hap hazard/missing pilot holes, pilot holes on only 2 of the 4 sections of wood, paint/stain missing in areas, scratches, dents, chips. You get the picture. Scratches and dents could be blamed on the courier. The absolutely awful paint job and big splits in the wood? I can't believe there is no quality control to pick these things up. Why did this get sign off to even leave the factory?

I have had my money refunded but I have lost herbs I bought back in early April to go in this planter. Not to mention it is now too late in the season for some seeds we were to plant.

All in all, a very frustrating experience made slightly less annoying by some likely overworked customer service people.

Do not buy these shoddy products.

Really impressed! We ordered 2 large trough planters and the next day they were despatched and the following day they were delivered. Really good packaging and we’re really pleased with the quality of the product. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and use planters.co.uk again.

Easy to order, and delivered very quickly. I have ordered a few times now and will be ordering again, as I am having my garden landscaped.

Metal Planter with trellis. Overall, this item looks really good assembled. Unfortunately there were a number of issues in assembly. Some of the screws did not match the holes and seemed too short , resulting in a challenging and very tight fit. There was cross threading on one or two of the screws. Some of the screws may have been overpainted as the hex key supplied was initially a very tight fit and required further manipulation to ensure it could be used. Finally there was evidence of rust on some of the parts around the screw holes and one of the corner pieces.

The planters were well packaged and weren’t too difficult to assemble.

Just updating this to reflect that Mateusz the MD reached out to follow up and discuss my experience, personally apologising and accepting responsibility whilst also finding some way to resolve the situation.
Fully appreciate this from Mateusz, it has gone some way to reversing this and making good the experience. Update my Stars to reflect this.....

I purchased 4 x Zinc Galvanised Planters on the 7th April. 2 were in stock and quoted as 1-2 day delivery and 2 were on Pre order for 27th April.
The 2 x 50cm in stock ones i had to chase the shipping of these after a few days and it was confirmed to me (in a fairly rude and matter of factly way) these were been held back to ship when all the stock from my order was available as this was standard procedure - even though at the time of order the Order Confirmation stated 1-2 day delivery for these. So total contradiction in messaging there, and Customer Service ignored my email querying this. The 2 x 50cm planters arrived and i'm very happy with them, well packaged, good quality and as described.

On the morning of the 28th i could see the 30cm size were back available in stock on their website, i followed up with a call to Customer Service to check the status of my Pre order as had not had any notifications and was assured these would be processed and shipped out urgently.

A further 3 emails and a call over the next couple of days and still no update or shipping notifications. I was chasing these to get them for the BH weekend.

Just called Customer Service to find out whats going on, was told it would be looked into. That's it....

These were paid for in full on the 7th April. They have been back in stock and could have been ordered with 1-2 day delivery from at least the 28th if not earlier.
Its now the 5th and i still have no planters in spite of paying for them a month ago.

What makes it worse is not once has there been any apology or acknowledgment of the complete failure of their order processing.

Think long and hard about ordering and especially on Pre Orders, it looks like they just want to take your money and then forget about your order. And then show no interest when you follow up with them.

Nice products but terrible business operations. Buyer beware.....

Good selection of larger troughs that were hard to find. Great colour and quality. I ended up buying 6 of them!

We have recently purchased a large 600 x600 planter in Rose Gold, the delivery was swift and the item was well packaged and in perfect condition, and just what we had hoped it would be. Would not hesitate in using planters.co.uk again in the future.
Our planter was filled with compost and a climbing rose the day after delivery 🥀.
