I’ve ordered two sets of planters but one was the lead time was too long for one set so I told them to cancel and was refunded promptly with great communication. Very happy with the one that arrived! Woukd certainly order from them again.

large trough planters
I received 2 large trough planters, both of which are damaged. Paint is flaking at the seal joints on both planters and one is also chipped. This is not damage in transit so has been sent out faulty. I rang and advised them as soon as I opened them and was advised to email along with pictures. No response. I rang again after several days and was told they would respond via email. Over a week now and still no response. Appalling lack of customer service and atrocious quality.

Elegant tall metal planters
I have been frustrated by the number of pots that have cracked this year, so I decided to look for something more robust. I picked out these pre rusted tall planters and I love them. I hope they last longer than terracotta - but for now I’m very pleased with my choice.

The perfect bowl
I moved 5 years ago leaving behind a garden i created including a water feature.
Now I have just a patio and although I have enhanced it with coloured fences and contrasting something was missing. The gentle sound.of water.
I saw the zinc bowl and purchased. Now after adding a solar bubble fountain it is the perfect enhancement.

Terrible - orders planters that were showing as in stock early March. I actually wanted a different size but they were out of stock so I specifically ordered planters that weren't exactly what I wanted to get them quicker. I rang up early April to ask where they were after paying £8 for delivery to be told that we're a pre-order which was news to me. I was told to expect them mid-April, I've now had 3 emails telling me they will be delivered and still no planters. Yesterday when I rang up the lady admitted that they hadn't even been delivered to them yet. I've now requested a refund as we've bought planters elsewhere so we'll see how long that takes to arrive! If you actually want planters, do yourself a favour and order them from elsewhere.

The delays were caused by serious and unexpected difficulties organising freight from our factory. Every update we sent you was given in good faith, but the situation kept slipping and the promises kept falling through. I understand completely why your patience ran out.
You are also right that communication should never have been left to you to chase. That falls on us.
As a direct result of what happened to customers like you, we have stopped taking orders for any stock not physically held in our UK warehouse. It is a change we should have made sooner.

Corten Steel Planters
I bought two corten steel planters and liners , they were flat packed and needed bolting together which was a bit fiddly but fine. They look fantastic, I am really happy with them.
The delivery costs were very good value.
One of the planters went missing in transit but I emailed the helpline and it was sorted.
If I had to criticise anything, it wasn't obvious in the instructions which way up the planter base should be.
I would most certainly buy from Planters again.

Ordered in March with item showing as…
Ordered in March with item showing as in stock. Then receive an email saying it would be delayed until the following week. This has gone on now for each week since. Was supposed to be at their warehouse for delivery today or tomorrow, but after me emailing them to find out what was happening, it has been delayed again. Now asking for a full refund today so I can buy from someone more reputable. It is not up to the customer to keep chasing delivery times and dates. Total lack of communication. They should not have taken my money if the item was not in stock as advertised.

The root cause of your delays was a significant and unexpected difficulty in organising freight collection from our factory. The dates we provided were given in good faith based on our best understanding at the time, but the situation proved far harder to resolve than we anticipated, and each estimated date slipped as a result. That is not an excuse — it is an explanation — and the impact on you was unacceptable regardless of the cause.
You are right that communication should not have been left to you to chase. That is something we have taken seriously and are actively addressing.

I ordered my planters online, impressed by the professional appearance of the website. I was given a delivery date just 4 days later, over a weekend. When my planters arrived they were packed well, they were pre-assembled. I will definitely use Planters again.

Dreadful service.
I ordered a planter. The instructions required a magnifying glass to read and included the very unhelpful advice: "use the wrench to bend the clips to a certain angle". The clips weren't identified and the angle, of course, was a mystery. I asked them to send a video. They sent one for the wrong planter. I asked if they could send me the correct one. They ignored me. Twice. In response to the MD below: Now you have seen the emails between us. Can I recommend that you put a link of some kind on the bottom of the instructions you send out. It would save a lot of trouble.

So far, so good. I was really pleased to find this website and bought a copper colour cube, with liner and feet to improve drainage. It arrived very promptly, in perfect condition and I look forward to planting it up when the season is right. It looks really good, it is much lighter than my terracotta planters but it tones well with them.

“A satisfactory outcome, but it needed close management to prevent it from stalling or falling through.”
I understand why some reviewers have expressed mixed opinions and frustration. I encountered similar difficulties when initially trying to make contact, and reading comments suggesting the company might be “scammers” made me feel concerned about my own experience. However, based on my interactions, I do not believe this company is operating dishonestly.
Yvonne was particularly helpful—she arranged an immediate partial refund for an unavailable item and ensured the remaining products were delivered. Her handling of the situation was professional and reassuring.
The delivery arrived two days later than expected, which, while inconvenient, can happen. That said, offering “next day delivery” may set unrealistic expectations, particularly when stock availability is not always accurate—one item in my order was listed as in stock but ultimately unavailable.
I suspect there is room for improvement in communication between the warehouse and customer-facing teams, as well as in maintaining accurate, up-to-date stock levels. From a customer’s perspective, it can be difficult to understand these internal challenges.
Overall, I would describe my experience as satisfactory. Despite some back-and-forth, the products I received were as ordered and met my expectations.
