When cancelling my policy due to having sold the bike my fee was more than the original policy price and when I complained they gave me a supposed discount that never got applied and after several calls I had to pay the full amount because everyone on the phone seems to be illiterate.

I wanted to add a service onto my existing premium that is due for renewal. Couldn't have been easier. Done and dusted in about 2 minutes. Not a drama. Dead easy and the best thing ever for me and apologies if you read this and get upset - get over yourself in advance... I got to speak to someone in the UK - no language barriers

I had a great experience dealing with this insurance advisor. He was a lovely lad, really helpful, friendly, and easy to talk to throughout the whole process. He took the time to answer all my questions and made everything simple and straightforward. My enquiry was dealt with professionally and efficiently, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. Patience, clarity and professional

I have a motorcycle insurance policy, the price was competitive, but since then I have found it impossible to contact their customer service number to make changes to my policy.
Today, I'm still in a queue, so far I've been waiting for 40 minutes. This is not the first time this has happened.
Pretty disappointing, will be going elsewhere at renewal.

Wanted to charge me and extra £100 on top of the full years policy to cancel after only 2 months, clearly a rip-off policy to punish people that want to leave early. It's cheaper to pay for the policy than cancel it mid-term.

Once I got though quite a long wait, the person I dealt with was very polite and knowledgable

An absolute pleasure to deal with.

These guys renewed my faith in Insurance Companies. After being ripped off for an incident that I was admitting too a few years ago, I was told that I didn't need to own up to the incident as there was no claim made, no-one else was involved, and that I was doing myself no favours by admitting to it.

Yet other insurers didn't tell me this and I had been paying way too much for my insurance. Imagine how I felt after being ripped off by the very people (insurance companies) that want us to be honest when declaring insurance issues. I wonder how they treat real crooks?

My annual price has now dropped dramatically. Thank you so much Principal. Top marks to your man on the end of my phone call.

This company has some of the worst customer service and charge 55 for cancelling a policy. This broker is something that needs to be avoided at all cost

I cancelled my insurance after 10 days. The policy was £179. The refund from the insurer was £171. Principle then charged me cancellation fee £16. Discount clawback £45. Commission £27. Broker fee £62.
I got back £19.

Change of policy address was smooth. Still £62 cost for any changes is quite unjustified though

While it took quite a while to get connected, while it indicated that I was 1st in the queue (over 25 mins); Ashley was extremely helpful and covered off all my questions while running through all cover and all the additional benefits etc. Very happy with how he dealt with my phone call!
