I had the pleasure of working with Hugh and used the textbook in preparation for my Strategic Case Study (SCS) exam, and I can confidently say that his support made a huge difference in my success.

I purchased the SCS textbook from Procountancy and I highly recommend it. The book is an absolute game changer in revision for the Strategic Case Study exam. If you have any worries about not knowing enough content to answer any question asked in the SCS exam then this textbook is your answer. The textbook covers all topics in incredible detail and gives you so much content to answer questions. The assessment questions in the textbook are brilliant and show you what kind of questions can come up and the answers are such a helpful example of all aspects of how questions should be answered. Hugh is incredibly helpful and always makes himself available to answer any queries.

The SCS textbook is written in clear, easy-to-understand language at the same time providing the level of depth that allows one to prepare and get a chance to pass the exam. I deleted 90% of the material I had when I got the textbook, because after it nothing else was matching their standard.

Hugh puts in a huge amount of thought into the materials. I bought the text book for revision reference (which was searchable) and additional question practise (all exam style). The questions were challenging, just what was needed for preparation for the SCS May25.

Hugh offers the BEST CIMA case study course out there! Ive tried them all and Hugh’s is comprehensive, taking all the guess work out from what topics to revise for the case study and is extremely great value for money with the sheer amount of support offered. Additionally, Hugh’s course offers way more mocks (essential to feeling confident for the case study) with an extremely quick feedback turnaround time, as well as offering broad question pack to help you feel prepared. The support I’ve felt from Hugh has been second to none, and I only wish these course were available at Operational and Management. I’d highly recommend these course for anyone wanting to sit their exam with confidence and to be fully prepared.

I purchased the SCS Ultimate Assessment Kit and this was an invaluable resource for my case study preparation. The scs textbook focuses only the relevant theory for the exam and explains concepts very well including great examples. As part of the ultimate assessment kit this included 2 graded assessment sets as well as 3 graded mocks with feedback. Hugh ensured these were always returned within 48 hours of submitting and I felt this was a really great service, the value for money on the assessments alone is outstanding. Unlike other providers I’ve used previously all of the content is specific to the specific window and gives realistic scenarios for assessment questions. If I had any queries Hugh was always very responsive and happy to help. I would fully recommend Procountancy if you’re looking to pass your strategic case study and I believe this is market leading content.

I have sitted the May 2025 exam on SCS. and I have used the ultimate course for the preparation. There are 7 strong points that are particularly appealing to me:

1. It provides 3 mocks and question pack of 10 senarios (sometimes there are bonus senarios) in the course all carefully drafted related to the preseen.
2. The questions in the question pack and mock are all drafted in style that simulates how you would be asked in the real exam.
3. The model answers to the practice question are drafted in a way that I can use directly in the exam in terms of the length and the structure.
4. The writing style suggested by the course is straight to the point diminishing unnecessary parts and emphasis on the part that truly matters.
5. The marking grids provided in the mock is similar to the markers report and I was awarded points for each trait based on the level of my answer.
6. The theories covered are literally tailored exactly for this exam as advertised covering niche topics (eventhough I have not encounter one in my exam but it helped me prepared for it such as Beta) and with adequate depth.
7. There are active support in the whatsapp group where I get timely responses to my related question.

Actually there are a lot more that I liked about this course you can experience it yourself I really think it worth it. I also liked the SCS exam it helps me muster my points logically which I am using in this review :)

Would not have made it through the May SCS without Hugh and the amazing course he put together! Procountancy has the best CIMA products in the market!

My engagement with the Procountancy Ultimate SCS Textbook in preparation to sit my SCS now in May ‘25 became the best decision I have ever made in this CIMA journey. This textbook is a compendium of all three Strategic Level pillars of E3, F3 and P3. The author (Hugh) pulls out the most important material for the SCS and beyond that, there are great insights into the questions which have been asked before and guidelines to answering those questions and other unseen questions. He simplifies the highly dreaded topics and the flow of the textbook content is unparalleled. Overall, the textbook is an easy read, lightweight and the presentation makes it much more interesting than the dry and thick official CIMA textbooks.

Hugh also creates YouTube content for Pre-seen insights and what he calls the ‘SCS crash course’. The latter has been particularly helpful as it is almost a mini-summary of the Ultimate SCS Textbook in 3 hours which can be replayed to concretise the subject matter content.

Hugh has a huge heart and is generous. Beyond the courses and textbook, Hugh creates free material (i.e., the YT vids) for students who may not afford his services. He gives honest advice and his insights into the SCS exam are rich of years of experience that can be proven and trusted. He is easy to approach, patient, responds to all questions and treats each student with respect.

I would highly recommend the Procountancy courses, the Ultimate SCS Textbook and the YouTube content, you will not go wrong!

Hugh’s textbook is straightforward and easy to understand. The vast material is well-organised into three sections, with each chapter easy to digest. I particularly loved the fact that the information presented is relevant, clear, and concise. The questions and answers section gives a useful insight on how to approach a situation and what to focus on when answering. Definitely recommend it.

The procountancy textbook was a game changer for me in how I looked at the material and detail. It really made everything "click" and solidify any prior theory I had learnt.
The format of the textbook was my favourite part. It looked at all theory in chronological order which helped gain a more well rounded view of how an organisation actually works in real life.

The question pack at the end of the textbook is really focused on the case study and makes you think in different ways. Some questions are quite hard, but they make you think and improve your overall understanding of the topic which is invaluable.
Hugh is a very honest and generous person and he has dedicated so much of his time and effort to his students. He really adds a personal touch to it and tries to help in any way possible.
