To be honest I was a bit apprehensive in the beginning and to top it I made a mistake in the selecting the colour of iPad 2 back cover. I emailed them and to my utter amazement I got the reply from them within one hour confirming the order change and I recieved the items within 32 hours.
Absolutely brilliant service,which is very hard to find nowadays,I would gladly reccomend them to any one.

Bought this iPad cover to protect back from scrapes. Excellent product fits easily to iPad looks great glad bought this cover enhances iPad look with same colour smart cover which fits the iPad perfectly. I would agree product on expensive side but well worth the money

I bought the Hypershield back cover for my iPad2 as a replacement for a tatty iLuv back cover.
The iLuv was an excellent fit with the cutout finishing very close to the smart cover hinge, thereby giving good protection. It did, however, become grubby very quickly and this was the main reason for changing.
The Hypershield seems, on initial inspection, to be very good. Backing material has good grip and looks well made. The front is a glossy gel edge and this is where the problems start.
Firstly, the fitting. A very tight fit and the edging strip has to be pulled across to get it to engage. I tend to fit protective screens to all of my devices and this cover pealed it back leaving large bubbles. No matter how many different methods I tried, I could not get it to fit without affecting the protective screen. In the end, I took the screen off.
Secondly, the glossy edge doesn't really work with my Smart Cover. Although slightly raised, it allows the magnets to auto shut the iPad. However, there is no recess provided and you have to pick at the edge of the Smart Cover to open it. Somewhat irritating!
Finally, Smart Covers tend to be mat finish. The front. Edge of the Hypershield is very glossy. To me, this does not look good.
To summarise, a well made product let down by the details. It may suit someone less fussy, but I am already looking for a replacement.

I purchased the hard back for the ipad 2 and I'm extremely pleased with it. It was delivered 2 days after I bought it online and the quality is excellent. Apple are really missing a trick not making their own when this one is so good

I had the navy blue one, which matches the Apple Smart Cover and although more expensive than other covers it is well worth the money and is a quality product. I would certainly use Protronica again and have no hesitation what-so-ever in recommending them to others

initial impression; a little disappointed with product quality (60w hypermac juice), plastic case slightly bowed in middle and creaky, white plastic sides covering indicators and charge reveal button seems to be rather flimsy and easily damaged but time will tell. However, the overall design and facility it gives is compelling and if it works as advertised other issues will be little niggles and no more.
