Raisin is currently holding my funds HOSTAGE over a failed ACH transfer. The transfer DID NOT fail due to NSF. It failed due to the banks changing hands. Raisin is now DEMANDING I reverify my identity AND reestablish ownership of the external account. Even after "performing" the "required" steps, Raisin continued to leave my account inaccessible. I have substantial deposits in Raisin and they are DENYING access to my funds over a failed 1K transfer. Raisin has been informed if this continues complaints will be filed with the CFPB and NYDFS. This is something I have never had to do in 50+ years of banking!
Update: Raisin "reinstated" my account a week later after I filed a formal complaint at complaints[dot]us@raisin[dot]com. Unfortunately, Raisin seems to take the tact of taking egregious actions on customer accounts and then apologizing LATER. Well Raisin, APOLOGY NOT ACCEPTED. Please address your out-of-control compliance/security processes and then we can talk!

Customer Service helped though issue should not have come up
Resolved the issue that placed my account on hold but, the rejected incoming funds request from the external account should not have happened since documentation provided correct information so that had the data from the bank statement been used instead to the mistyped data that I could not see once submitted, the request would have been accepted and the transfer made as intended.

Raisin - Can’t perform effectively
Raisin is difficult to do business with and every transaction I attempt is fraught with issues and delays. Simple things like switching from one bank account to another - jumping through hoops - just like all the other complaints - scanning verification, bank statements, voided check finally done weeks later and then go to use the account to make a deposit and BAM - locked out because the account number is incorrect. How is that even possible after what I went through to link it! Also why should that impact my access to my other accounts. Working on day 5 of trying to resolve my account issue and now have to get verified all over again. Completely lost all trust and confidence in this institution and cannot wait to pull my money out and go somewhere else. Lesson learned! This is an archaic business that does not have the technology or staff to perform this service effectively. Safe yourself the time and frustration. Go somewhere else.
