The machine was dirty and did not function properly. Went to chat line and told an agent would get back to me 2 hours later nothing on chat line email or phone. tried ringing them several times the number would not ring although connected. I would not go anywhere near them again service is diabolical i wish there was a minus in the stars. I am absolutely disgusted with Rug Doctor

I booked a carpet cleaner and atachement on line to be collected from a locker in Tescos Guldford ,when i got the machine home i discovered that it was absolutely filthy the underside looked like the previous hirer had cleaned their patio with it,
i telephoned Rug Doctor only to be told that it was my responsibility to check it before i left the shop,my reply was it is their responsibility to hire it in a clean sanitary condition.after tooing and frowing he asked me to take it back to Tesco's and open another locker,I did that but when I got the second machine out it was in exactly the same state so i phoned them back and asked them to refund my money,
I asked if they have someone to inspect and clean the machines only to be fobbed off with we have now taken those two machines out of service,no apology , no offer of recompense for my wasted time and petrol and my refund would take 3 to 5 days ,when i payed they got the money immediately.
Rug Doctor obviously dont have any customer care in place to inspect the machines when they are returned but expect the new hirer to clean it before they use it.
DONT HIRE ONE FROM RUG DOCTOR

Hired the machine from Tesco. When we opened it for use it was significantly dirty (previous user did not clean it afterwards). Contacted customer care who were very helpful and offered a refund of half the payment. The machine itself works well for purpose.

Received the machine absolutely filthy. Dirty and clean tank both had tons of water of them that leaked in my car. The underside of the machine was full of hair and grime. I called their main number and was essentially scolded for not inspecting the machine right when I received it. Where, in the extremely narrow corridor between Tesco’s self check outs and the exit? LOL. Then what? Complain to someone that doesn’t work for Rugdoctor? They barely could be bothered to pointing me to where they were kept. Getting it home, it absolutely ruined my carpets. The entire house stinks. One wet pass followed by 8-20 dry ones is ridiculous, but I did it and it still wasn’t enough. Must be a lot of broken machines in rotation. DONT RENT ONE.

It was simple to book. I did have to get assistance with accessing the locker as I’d not received all the info about the key pad. I also had to use a YouTube video to see how to use the machine. After this it was very easy to use and I’m pleased with the results.

Upon collecting the unit I found the locker door unsecured. The unit was very dirty and required full cleaning before use. The filter was blocked and the underside was covered with congealed hair etc.
The unit worked well. Not sure if would have cleaned as well prior to the clean.

A very good cleaner and would reccomend , however as a woman on her own I felt as though the weight of the machine needed to be highlighted more, even when empty. Overall easy to use.

Hired from morrisons bought rug doctor shampoo its left my carpets stinking. I would never use again
. Smells like wet dog yet I dont own a animal obviously dont get cleaned between use

Very simple and starigh tforward

When picking up the machine from the locker it hadn’t been cleaned, had to clean machine before starting. Some of the bristles from the brush on the hand piece were missing.
Think Morrison’s in Inverurie need to check the machines.
Other than that the actual machine worked really well.

Customer service was five star. No problems there.
But the instructions to operate the machine were one star. I wanted to give you rating of one star but then this would make it look that customer service was bad.
Instructions should be clear, itemised and scrollable. Or a clear up to date video. I had never used the machine that was why I noticed the useless instructions given by you. Utube video saved me.

Machine worked properly and go the expected result.

First time I have used the machine. Machine fine, but hand held tool vacum stopped due to wool carpet fibres blocking tube suction tube. Realised the problem, flushed the tube/head out, and all good for rest of hire.

Easy booking, easy collection and efficient cleaning

The equipment cleaned the carpets well. The machine was awkward to manoeuvre and the recommended quantity of cleaning fluid we would need (four rooms) was easily twice what we needed (even with going over the heavy traffic areas three or four times).
