Amazons customer service model should be criminalised
Amazon have not delivered any of the gifts my family have sent to our father for fathers day - but they make it physically impossible to complain on their website about their service.
All I wanted to happen was for them to resend the goods to the correct address - but this is not possible.
I tried to get a refund and send again but again the delivery went to the wrong address and all I can do it talk to chatbots which say they will do something but do not. I have provided GPS coordinates on the delivery address and spent so much time trying to sort this out but after spending days on this along with each member of our family whose gifts also didnt arrive. I can only conclude that despite making 77bn profit from us all last year that Amazon couldn't care less about the service they themselves provide. They are happy to forward complaints to resellers but there is no way to complain about them themselves. No number, no email address - only bots which serve to waste a lot of my time and do not keep the promises they make. What Amazon do should be made illegal!. How can it be that such a big company can make it impossible to complain about their service and speak to human when things go wrong! - I'm done with them, There is no way that I will knowingly buy another thing from a company that thinks its OK to not allow their customers a voice.

🚫 Fake Delivery Attempts & Lies: Do Not Use This Service
I am writing this to warn others about the terrible delivery experiences I've had recently. It seems to be getting worse, with lost parcels and outright lies from customer service.
The Smoking Gun: Impossible Timestamps Their system claimed an "attempted delivery" at 7:24 am, and I received the notification at 7:25 am. Let's be clear: It is physically impossible to complete a delivery attempt in one minute. It takes at least a full minute just to walk up and buzz the front door. This proves the driver never showed up and simply marked the package as "failed" to cover their tracks.
The "Buzz In" Excuse is Nonsense I live in a 4-story flat. You must buzz in to get access. The driver claimed they "banged on the front door." Banging on the exterior door of a secure block is useless; no one inside can hear it. Plus, my first-floor neighbors are typically loud and present; if anyone had actually come to the door or buzzed, they would have answered. This was a fabricated excuse.
Customer Service is Worse Than the Delivery When I complained, the support agent (based in India) told me 1,000 lies that were easily disproven. The most insulting part? The same agent called me back later, not to fix my lost parcel, but to ask if I had completed a feedback survey. They care more about their metrics and surveys than actually solving the problem or admitting they lost my package.
I am canceling my service immediately. Too much stress, too many lies, and zero accountability. Avoid this company.
Get your act together!
Amazon was once good and provided a rliable service. My recent experience was just dreadful. I ordered a product for next day delivery. It didn't turn up. I was notified after 11pm that it would be delivered five days later. I tried to contact customer services to cancel my order but nobody answred. At 3.12 am the order was updated saying "Delivery attempted" but no one at home. In the morning I tried customer services again. I was passed through verified connections and was told there was no one to speak to. Never experienced such appalling communication with Amazon before. Get your act together!

Amazon, used to be great !!! But now, they are the worst !!! I can't believe the downturn it's crazy !!!! You now wait days for next day delivery!!! The horrible thing is you wait in all day and then at 8pm you get a message that the order will be delivered in the next couple of days !!! Will be cancelling my Amazon prime ( why should I pay for such a terrible slow unreliable service ) !!! Shocking!!!!

Amazon deliveries are gradually getting worse. They are not keeping to their own delivery times. Latest order promised for between 07.00 and 13.00. Latest update 18.00 to 20.00. Not hopeful it will arrive today. Terrible service.
Update: had to go to a family event, driver didn't follow instructions and dumped items outside front door in full view. Had to leave event, drive home to pick up items. Just cancelled my Amazon Prime and deleted app. Amazon do not follow up complaints, they just ignore you.

Amazon’s quality has completely collapsed. My latest order was full of cheap, poorly made products that didn’t match the descriptions at all.

It feels like the site is flooded with low‑quality imports and nobody is checking what sellers are putting up. I needed these items urgently, and instead I’ve wasted time waiting, returning everything, and still not getting what I needed.
Amazon used to be reliable. Now it’s just full of rubbish.

No matter how often I contact Amazon, and they assure me they'll sort it out, this keeps happening.
In other respects Amazon are very good, but this problem is not being fixed.

They rejected my review of a box of walkers crisps because "this is not the place to review packaging" even though something has obviously broken into the product box (not the Amazon box) and helped themselves to a bag of crisps. I phoned Amazon and I have had to provide my driving licence "to prevent fraud" . This bag of crisps is probably worth 20p and was not my point, but the fact that they have a potential rodent problem dressed up as an employee.

I recently bought a mouse for my ageing mac desktop computer. Despite thoroughly checking the requirements stated in order for this mouse to be suitable, and consulting Amazons A.I. (which I previously had abhorred!) the product did not work on my computer. Amazon took the item back WITHOUT HASSLE and refunded the full amount within a few days! Despite years of negative experiences with Amazon I am amazed at the efficiency shown with this transaction! PRAISE IS HEREBY GIVEN FOR SUCH UNUSUAL CUSTOMER SERVICE!! THANK YOU!

Usually Amazon are pretty good when it comes to deliveries. On this occasion they tried twice to deliver and called me on both occasions because a password was needed. The package was due to be delivered tomorrow Sunday 12/4/26 when I would be at home ( This date was allocated by Amazon). I explained this to the driver that called yesterday and he said he would arrange for it to delivered on Sunday. I then received another call today trying to redeliver, I explained that I was at work and it was supposed to be delivered tomorrow when I would be at home. He promptly hung up on me and cancelled the order sighting item unable to be delivered. First of all, they are supposed to try x3 times not x2 and now I'm stuck without the order I've been waiting x2 weeks for. Please take note amazon and redeliver tomorrow as I'm very disapointed with this very poor service. Don't ask me to reorder because the same deal is no longer available!!!
Just spoke with amazon who told me tough, I'd have to reorder, no apology, didn't seem to care about my annoyance or even bother to apologise!!!

Since Christmas 2025 I have noticed a massive decline in their customer service, delivery etc. I am a prime member and expect to get what I pay for.
Too often now, I have placed orders for next day delivery and they do not, Amazon like to blame it on the carrier's they use.
I was put thought to at least five people to try and the item cancelled and refunded as the late delivery I would not be home for days to accept it. Amazins fault not mine.
I was put through to CHANAL /CHANAI however you spell it, she was useless. Meant to be from the management team. She terminated the chat when I typing my reply. I have never known CS like it, she should not be in this role. Poor skills to say the list

Terrible Delivery Service.
I ordered over £60 of goods to enable me to get same day delivery as it was important they arrived the same day. They never arrived, I was then given a slot of 7 am to 11 am today, they never arrrived and now it is going to be after 6-30 pm tonight.
Amazon themselves started this new ruling, order over a certain amount to get same delivery or pay £1.99 delivery charge if it is under a certain amount and they cannot even keep to their own rules.
I have now waited in two days as I need these items urgently. Their delivery is getting worse and worse, they give you a time but never stick to it and all they say is sorry for the inconvenience, it will be an inconvenience to them if people stopped shopping with them due to this poor service. I used to order every day but got so fed up of orders not being delivered until late evening, who wants to open your door at 9 pm in the dark to someone delivering parcels especially when they were promised for the morning or early afternoon.
Sorry Amazon, I can do much better at Temu and Shein. I know delivery takes longer but at least they turn up when they say they will and also, they are much cheaper than you.

Customer service is really poor. You either get a Robot or a Call Centre in the far east. They promise the lathe "you can trust me" they tell you, but nothing happens, it just goes on and on and on!!
