One of the few services where you can buy and pay for almost everything, but the support service is not working slowly.
Writing this review regarding my Shopee account which I have been using since 2020 being unjustly banned/suspended and the horrid experience I had following the suspension.
I have been a loyal Shopee user since 2020 and frequent Shopee for all sorts of necessities such as phone accessories, tools for my work and imported candies.
One day in late January, I logged onto the app and found that my account was frozen due to "suspicious activities detected by Shopee's automatic algorithm" so I contacted Shopee's customer service per the instructions to unfreeze my account and was told to wait.
Within 24 hours I received a response by email, one which I deem unacceptable. The seemingly automated reply I got insisted that my account was indeed used for fraudulent activities (detected by an automated system) and would not be reinstated, and all my coins, favorite items and especially my membership status were all wiped out.
The worst part was that I had about $50 worth of incoming packages and all of them were then marked "DO NOT DELIVER" as I found out on a third party tracking website. Shopee returned those to the sender and never refunded me my money.
As if all of that was not bad enough, Shopee then issued a blanket suspension of all the devices on my home network from Shopee, all my phones & tablets all got suspended. And not only are my own devices banned, but so were those of my parents, who use their own accounts to shop on Shopee and not mine!
The whole incident was handled unbelievably poorly. From the lack of the ability to how I was essentially cheated out of $50 from my undelivered packages which were also never refunded to how I could not appeal my account to how they issued a blanket suspension on my devices all because some "algorithm" decided my account was suspicious, which they refused to elaborate on in their reply only citing "Our automatic algorithm found it suspicious", full stop.
I won't be supporting Shopee anymore after this horrid treatment. The only reason they can get away with doing this is because they are the biggest E-Commerce platform in Singapore.
I sincerely hope Lazada improves so they can topple Shopee and make them wake up and take things seriously, instead of issuing account/device suspensions based on what an automated system told them without a human to actually investigate incidents on a case by case basis.
All in all, this was a horrid experience. I don't feel respected as a Shopee user at all. They have some audacity to suspend my account and devices, refuse to elaborate and worst of all, insist their automated system is 100% correct and deny any sort of appeal insisting they are in the right.
This was a really disappointing experience. I purchased a fast charger, but it does not actually fast charge—only regular charging works. To make things clear, I even provided a video showing that my phone supports fast charging when using another charger, but not with the one I bought from this seller.
The most frustrating part has been dealing with customer service. They keep repeating generic responses like “it is according to the description” without giving any proper explanation. When I ask specific questions, they simply avoid answering them. It feels very robotic and unhelpful.
I am just trying to return a product that clearly does not perform as expected, but the process has been unnecessarily difficult and stressful. Overall, this has been a very frustrating experience, and I would strongly advise others to be cautious when purchasing from this platform.

I really dislike Shopee's recent pricing methods. At first, you see an item priced at $0.00 (haha, I seriously don't believe anything on this platform is free). Then, when you click ‘Buy Now’ or add the item to your cart, the price suddenly jumps to $8.56 🤷🏻♀️. Is this even legal? I would prefer if you priced items correctly from the start and stopped wasting our time!
Shopee is the worst of the worst.
I’ve been with Shopee since 2018 and even subscribed to their VIP service, but when I received a damaged product with a dent, my return and refund request was still rejected.
Instead of resolving the issue fairly, Shopee kept passing me around. They told me to contact the seller, and no one wanted to take responsibility.
So what is the point of being a VIP subscriber if customers are not treated fairly? Shopee’s actions show that they care more about protecting sellers and profits than doing what is right for their customers.
This is a truly disappointing and unethical way to run a business. Loyal customers deserve better. Based on my experience, Shopee does not handle disputes fairly, and their so-called VIP service is meaningless.
Very disappointed. I will delete my Shopee account once the refund for my VIP subscription has been processed

I ordered a Prism Air Purifier and an additional filter. Item was delivered faster than expected. Thing is, item wrapper was badly torn. Packaging was dented real bad. Side of the box was dented inwards. Not sure was it from seller or what happened before delivery.
Anyway, I tested it. Was quiet and was satisfied initially. After power on for a while, carbon smell can be sense. The strong smell was consistent. I continue to on it to see if smell will go away. I power off it after that as I truly cannot stand the strong smell of carbon.
I packed the item back and even properly wrapped up so to ensure item safely send back to seller. I raised under received defective or not working reason. Shopee application auto generated return process guide. On destination day (CNY Eve) item was collected and return back to warehouse.
On 25 Feb, shopee return the item back. Reason was buyer return reason was change of mind. Item was open and used so cannot refund. I text shopee via chat with shopee. Agents kept insisting I cannot return and refund due to item open. Said I return due to change of mind. I kept explaining and even shows shopee app screen shot. Proven that I raised for return due to receive of defective item. Different agents attended me and all kept saying I raised for cancellation and refund due to change of mind. Seller also kept saying I cannot cancel and return due to change of mind.
That air purifier will be my last item from shopee. Felt entire process was a "united" not integrity act both from shopee and the seller. Bring back item and return the item after 8 days? Insist that i cannot cancel and refund. So as customer i bear what ever happened the past few days when item was not in my unit!! Buyers be cautious, the 15 days free customer protection does not seems genuine base on my case. Defect item also can be return to you and you need to pay for it!! Please be cautious when ordering from shopee.
It’s a One stop solution for my shopping needs. Shopee is prompt to do a refund if items are not satisfactory.

Never buy anything on this site. I realise this is a general statement, but it's true when you shop at this site. I ordered an ergonomic chair as per the description and rating; it was completely fine and has a favourable delivery time. The product was delivered on time, but the chair pillow was missing, and the seller refused to deliver the missing part. After installing the chair, I found that the cushion was of poor quality and uncomfortable. If you sit on a chair, you may fall and feel the unexpected jolt of nails digging into you from beneath. There is no sufficient foam on the cushion; forget about the memory foam. They seem to sell counterfeit products. I received a completely different product than was described. Only appearance was the same.

I am a platinum account holder and also subscribe to their VIP membership. Generally, sellers are ok. Most are prompt in shipping out orders and responding to requests. However, the nail in the coffin is with Shopee itself and their delivery service (SPX). "Next-day" delivery often becomes several days later even though I placed my order well before the 2pm deadline, and couriers frequently cite "insufficient time to complete delivery", sometimes for 2 or 3 days in a row for the same item. Please don't ask me to empathize with the couriers. It is their job to deliver on time and they jolly well work OT if they have to. As a customer I only care if my item arrives on time and in good condition. Shopee seriously needs to be stricter with unprofessional couriers who think their personal time is more important than fulfilling their contractual duty to customers.
If I could give SHOPEE a zero rating I would. It’s the worst shopping platform you could use. Sellers with no stock yet promoting their goods. Sellers unilaterally and without consultation sending you alternative products when they don’t have stock of the product ordered. And so on and so on. It’s a disastrous platform. Avoid at all cost!!

Response by sellers are quick and delivery is fast
Generally sellers are okay, some rogue but the worse is Shoppee customer service, they anyhow cancel your refund request even though they give a later timeline to revert. RIP
I purchased a few items on 11 Dec and received all on 13 Dec but 1 order. It showed that the seller has shipped the item the the parcel arrived at the sorting facility on 12 Dec. Till now, 16 Dec, the order is still pending to be processed. I contacted the customer service agent, who gave me the exact same information I could see on my tracking details. I requested for expedition for delivery today, and the agent Nurlailia said she couldn't promise that and advised me that I could raise a REFUND. Is she trying to be funny? I purchased the items on promotion price, why should I raise a refund? If I had wanted a refund, I wouldn't have started the chat to ask her to check. Agents like her are not empathetic and shouldn't be in customer service at all. They simply give template replies and are not helpful. And the sorting facility team should have sorted out my item and delivered it over the weekend. I understand during promotion campaign, they are busy. But it is not an excuse to delay customers' delivery for so many days. I should have purchased on Lazada instead.
