Cutting out the "middle man" with big Insurance and their partnership with drug companies has been easier to navigate than I expected. The Website has been easy to use. And both the chat feature and calling the help phone number has yielded immediate assistance. So far I have cut my prescription drug costs in half by using RX gold. I pay $10 per month for the service, but it cut my costs so much that even factoring in that cost I will probably cut my out of pocket costs by 2/3 at the end of 1 year.

It is very quick and easy to chat with a customer service rep by phone or virtually on the website. Every time I have questions, I can get answers within minutes!

I understand that I'm paying way less than a normal insurance plan because I don't get quite as much coverage etc... but I just took my kids to the doctor for their wellness checkup, one kid got a couple shots, and not only was it free, but I got paid 160$ because I was charged less than SideCar's reimbursement amount.. Amazing :)

Very reasonable price and very reliable

I originally got Sidecar to cover some expenses until my company insurance policy kicked in, but ended up keeping my Sidecar because it was helping so much. I now put all of my co-pays on my card and they always cover me. I've had quite a few routine trips to the doctor and this has been more than worth it to me.

Sidecar works great for me and my wife. We are relatively healthy in our early 60's but we do have quite a few doctor visits throughout the year. The costs are lower than we expected to be able to get when we retired. The biggest drawback is not on Sidecar but the health providers. Why can't they give you the option of getting your itemized statement without such a hassle? It truly is the worst part of the experience but, like I said, that's not on Sidecar.

After submitting all of my paperwork they kept telling me that they needed my medical records, even after I uploaded them. They used this as an excuse not to process my claim. Total scam artists. Good luck collecting on any claims.

They're right! Health Insurance like it should be. I feel in good hands — even in emergencies!

I really enjoy using this service. I was in between health insurance and needing something to get me through 4 months without health insurance at a time when I was experiencing some medical issues. This service was a life saver. It has been very easy to use and the compensation for procedures/visits has been very fair. I like this so much that I am keeping this to supplement my high deductible health insurance plan.

Was surprised at how easy the process was to submit claims!

Super easy, straightforward care. Covers everything I need it to and I'm able to offset my premium nearly every month. I've been with Sidecar for about 3 years and I absolutely love it.

Great to see you can submit all documents and have a credit applied to your account in about a week for a procedure like this!

Does not make it easy to log in on phone

This has been a lifesaver for costs for our medically fragile child. We love Sidecar and recommend it highly.

Sidecar is fantastic, I tell all my friends about it when they complain about insurance being expensive or a pain to deal with.

I am very grateful for the help that Leanne from Acuity Healthcare offered me, she was with me throughout the recruitment process, I received follow-up messages and she was always there to answer my questions. She is excellent!!!!

So easy to follow the program.
I always call around and always get a credit. It is definitely a great way to work insurance.

Edit: Sidecar response below is BS. They never reached out to me. But they did contact Trust Pilot to say thus was a bogus review and asked them to remove it. This was an easy fix since I have an email trail and just sent Trust Pilot the screenshots. Stuff like this is a FTC violation and I will file a complaint if I need to.

Sent in my prebill for an $8058 biopsy procedure. Sidecar would only recognize a few of the line items totaling $3642 and said they will only pay $498.45 and I had to pay the rest on my own. Sidecar has you send a prebill and will authorize what you can spend in advance.

They also incorrectly put on my prebill that I was discounted $2214 by my medical provider. The discount for those line items was $1214. Still not sure why the other charges were ignored.

I did try to contact sidecar for an explanation via the contact information provided and never received a response back.

It would be cheaper for me to not pay my premium and pay completely out-of-pocket for this so I requested a cancelation in writing. I would recommend getting real health insurance or using a health share plan.

Claims and payments are accurate and completed in a timely manner. Changes for covered family members easily navigated when needed.
