Brilliant Spares Service
Requested details of where I could get spares for an old SIP Bandsaw late at night. Received a reply from Rob, early next morning listing stockist and giving an online link. Superb spares support
Rob quickly identified the correct spare part for the motor on my cement mixer, despite it being an older version. The part was despatched and received all within 24 hours with excellent communication throughout. Customer service doesn’t get better than this.

Description not accurate
I bought a compound mitre saw. Belt driven they say for quieter operation. Well it would be if it was fitted with an induction brushless motor. This is fitted with an ac brushed motor which is loud. As all brushed ac motors are.Putting a belt on it doesn’t make it quieter. They state on the saw specs that the motor type is belt driven. I think this is false advertising. The motor is not belt driven. . The blade is belt driven. The motor type should say it’s a brushed ac motor. Not good SIP. I’ll be returning it for a full refund.

Rob spent the time to help find which gun was needed from several photos of equipment which had the serial numbers rubbed off and barely visible. Great detective work! The quote for a new gun was very reasonable.

Buy a different Brand
Purchased a Battery Booster from SIP, cost approx £270, broke after 6 months, sent back as it’s under warranty and get an invoice for £320 to fix it….Vague as to why from report, asked for it back and was invoiced £65 for it…..AVOID!!!

Purchased a Durite one, much lighter and compact.
I would not purchase SIP products ever again.
Even the reply is ridiculous, surely you have a charger. Anyway keep your broken useless product, it’s no good after 6 months.

Before returning items under our warranty terms, we do send out our pre-returns conditions which clearly states the charges that will be incurred, should the fault reported not be covered under our manufacturing warranty terms.
As per the images on the quotation provided by our Engineers, you can see that the item has signs of overheating as a result of the duty cycle being exceeded. You can also see where the pack has signs of overheating.
Our pre-return guidance also states to ensure all accessories are returned to enable us to carry out a full test. Your machine was returned without the mains charger, which prolonged testing.
As per our Terms and Conditions, you have been quoted for our Engineers Inspection Time, Parts and Labour.
I can also confirm our engineers have only charged you 1/2 our labour costs as a gesture of goodwill.
We hope to reach an amicable resolution, so please contact us to progress repair or return of your unit.
