A living nightmare
A thoroughly bad experience throughout and one not likely to be forgotten. Customer relationship began hopeful and then plunged into the unknown.
Support use to be amazing
Support use to be amazing, the last year or two it has really depreciated, to the point we do not wish to use their services anymore.
Most support tickets are responded to now with a link to a help page. Simple tasks that take them 15 seconds to help with are shoveled off to a help page that takes the end user over an hour to read, absorb and implement.
Skystra use to be much better, its a disappointment to see them take a nose dive. When the support was better they would have been a 5 in our book!
Also note that the buttons and access to the Control Panel is not easily visible. You need to visit a help page to find that also. The external link sends us a to page that wont load and finding the internal menu that includes Control Panel is more challenging than it should be.
All in all, issues that they use to solve for us in a matter of minutes, they dont help at all with anymore. Furthermore, complaints are not read or responded too.
Possibly this once great business has seen so much growth they don't have the staff to support it. It makes Godaddy with their Chat reps look really appealing right now.
** In relation to their response, it is not legal to identify individuals and use names in these reviews. I am sorry your team have felt abused. They were genuinely super helpful to begin with, never stated that the level of support we were asking for was too much and not included in our plan, they just simply didnt respond. That makes problems worse and your services seem like they are failing or customers (clearly in my case) being ignored.
Bummer, we liked you guys and never knew we crossed that line, we just thought you were overwhelmed, we often are, so accept our apologies for perceived "abuse".
Skystra's response is similar to all customers who complain about them, read a few. Looks like you have a problem guys, you are not solving. Bashing paying customers that are struggling with your services is not the best plan of action. Possibly communicate with your customers that they are asking to much instead of not responding at all?
Skystra Cloud merged with my web host…
Skystra Cloud merged with my web host Ultimate Web Hosting recently (2024). I have been a customer of UWH since 2006 to present and still have 1 year of hosting left.
The domain name was up for renewal, seperate from the hosting package, despite opening a ticket and asking for a login to access the control panel to pay the fee, they disputed that I had an account despite earlier stating that I was shut down for sharing illegal content, which was a lie, back in 2019 someone hacked UWH via a PHP exploit which is how my and other accounts became compromised and content was uploaded to the tune of a few hundred gigabutes of data.
The domain expired in the 17th March 2024 and despite it being within days of the expiry, Skystra Cloud told me to go and claim my domain from Nominet.
It appears that this company has a poor understanding of the situation and despite wishing to continue service to the end of the 2 year hosting package, they turned around and told me that I am not a customer of theirs and that they have advised me of how to claim my domain name and closed the ticket.
Does this company think I am a moron, they deny I have an account whilst recounting information in their database about my account and also to go and claim my domain as they have "Released" it so it can be transferred.
I tried to open another support ticket but they have blocked me.
I looked up the company online and you should do as it does not inspire confidence using a compan ythat is based out of an office in a residential area.

Talk about bare faced lies, do they really think I am that stupid or are they treating me like the average American client?
From my personal experience, it is not a trustworthy company to deal with as they can do to you what they did to me with completely obliterating your host account with refusal to allow access to your files.

Good website migration
Recently I had a website migration done with Fred from the Skystra migration team, which was a very daunting task for me at the onset. As someone new to the whole migration process and getting a website moved, Fred’s guidance was very reassuring. He simplified the complexities of the migration and did it all for me, making me feel very comfortable switching to Skystra’s services. It was a genuinely positive experience.

A quick review of first days
I got caught by ****ing renewal fees at my old web hosting provider. 900 bucks for one year of hosting 2 websites, wow!!!
I went through a bunch of review sites and landed on Skystra. Their guys moved my stuff the same day, kept me updated, and everything went well. I hope those guys are paid well, because they rocked. I thought I’d have a crazy headache moving my sites, but no, it was smooth and easy.
Sticking with this company for now. I’ll update this review if anything changes.

I almost never leave reviews. It’s just not something I care about doing, and it takes my time. When I leave one, it’s either because I really hate the company, or got incredible service.
I get incredible service with Skystra. My site was down at Bluehost for DAYS. Seriously, DAYS. And they’re going to get one heck of a bad review from me after this.
Skystra helped me, moved my site, my email, got everything up, and over the last few months, they are always there for me. This is like when I immigrated to the US, most of the government machinery just didn’t care, fill out some forms, go through the motions, and maybe you’ll end up okay.
And sometimes, you land on one kind soul, who does their job really well, pushes through the bureaucracy, and gets everything going for you. That’s what happened with Skystra, which I’m very thankful for. My business is back up and running and I need it to stay that way.

Very Impressed With Skystra So Far
Having had an absolute disaster with TSOHost - a company seriously in decline (previously Vidahost who were fantastic) - I decided to move my hosting package over to Skystra.
So far, Skystra have gone above and beyond. They handled the whole migration process of 10 websites within hours and by the time I had woken up in the UK, all my sites were working (they had been down for almost 2 weeks with TSOHost).
Support has been extremely responsive and my sites are loading really quickly too. I'm very positive about my experience so far and look forward to being a customer for many years to come.

Because of my years of experience working as a web designer and developer, I have tried a lot of different web hosts, they have all failed to live up to my expectations in terms of performance and customer service. I tried Skystra on a friend’s referral and I've been pretty happy with their team's responses to my questions and general performance. The best website and email platform for your business
I spent a lot of time researching hosting services for our new company. I previously utilized more general services (I will not name them) for my own personal blogging, with fairly awful results that included outages, file loss, and service that made it difficult to think they could even be a business.
Skystra was like a fresh breath of air. I was quite impressed with the level of expertise, consideration, and respect in the conversation from our very first exchange on their live chat (the operator's name was Marc). They responded to all of my questions and gave me confidence to trust them with the data, email, and website for our company.
They have been friendly and helpful to us the entire time, but perhaps I was a little too harsh on them at first because of so many previous negative experiences at previous providers. Our website has been hosted with them for a while, and during that time, both our business email and our website have consistently been available. When we approach their team for assistance, they promptly respond.
This review is being written in the hopes that anyone who is thinking about using Skystra as their web service provider would give them a go and never look back.
They are wholeheartedly the best in the business.
