Reliable, Proactive and Genuinely Invested

Appointing Steve and the team has been one of the best decisions we've made for our business. As we've grown, managing our own bookkeeping and finances became overwhelming, but they've taken that stress away completely.

They're proactive, organised and incredibly reliable. From payroll, Xero reconciliations and VAT to pensions and help with forecasting finances, everything is handled professionally and communicated clearly. We've never had to chase them—they're always one step ahead.

What really sets them apart is how approachable they are. Steve always takes the time to explain things clearly and has never made us feel uncomfortable asking questions, no matter how basic. That support has given us so much more confidence in asking more questions and making the right business decisions for us.

We originally appointed them for bookkeeping, but they've become a trusted part of our team, helping with forecasting and wider financial planning too. We spoke to several accountants before choosing them, and we're so glad we did. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Steve and the team.

Payroll management

Steve manages some of our payroll and is always efficient and helpful when asked. I would recommend him 100%.

Service that is truely an extension of the business

The service we get from Steve McCabe and Agnieszka Stochnij with our payroll administration is excellent.

They work as investe members of our company, are effortlessly accurate and hit all deadlines as well as managing additional queries and work that supports the business.

They build great, workable realtionships with all stakeholders in the business to the point that queries on payroll are directly made to them.

Ended cooperation after several months…

Ended cooperation after several months of correcting commission statements for our advisers. Repeated silly errors in simple calculations and our team spent hours to check each commission statement which was frustrating and time consuming. And this all was £40 per hour charge to this company.

Cherry on the cake was - hear this - several days delay in providing commission statements for all my team due to national elections in Uganda and internet disruptions there. My people were not paid on time and SmartPA refused to refund charge for the job.

Beware!

I’ve worked with Gill [Skendaj] for the past 19 years!
For the first 10 years, she supported me and my husband whilst she was at a previous firm. Her responsibilities included inbox, diary and travel arrangements amongst others including personal family tasks.
For the last 9 years she has supported me as a Virtual Assistant at SmartPA with a CRM project cleansing my network of clients. She is incredibly reliable, organised, proactive and demonstrates the highest confidentiality. Communication is always clear and timely, and her support continues to save me time!

Jo Martin and her team – clarity, structure and real support.

I’ve genuinely enjoyed working with Jo Martin and her team. The support has been calm, organised and incredibly valuable, especially when juggling multiple businesses.

Jo helps with my LinkedIn posts, which is something I’ve always struggled with, making it consistent and stress-free. When our bookkeeper left, Jo handled the onboarding of a replacement and managed the full handover, including systems and logins, without needing my involvement. That alone saved me a huge amount of time and headspace.

Jo also acts as a gatekeeper for emails, filtering what actually needs my attention, and supports me with any research I need, meaning decisions are quicker and better informed.

Overall, working with Jo and her team has given me clarity, reduced stress, and the confidence that things are being handled properly in the background. It’s practical, reliable support that genuinely makes running a business easier.

Working with Gillian Skendaj

I’ve worked with Gill [Skendaj] for the past 8 years!
She has had a broad range of responsibilities including diary, travel and CRM management saving me time and organising at times very busy and complex schedule. She also covers a number of ad-hoc tasks such as sourcing, reviewing and booking a Spanish tutor more recently.
She is incredibly resourceful, reliable, organised, proactive and responsive. She also is very discrete and very attentive to confidentiality issues. Communication is always clear and very timely, and her support has been invaluable to me!
I trust her completely and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an outstanding professional and dependable remote PA.

I had a Power Hour session with Hayriye…

I had a Power Hour session with Hayriye from SmartPA, and it was genuinely eye-opening. She took the time to really understand what I do in my business, how I spend my time, and where the bottlenecks were.

It turned out I was constantly busy, but not always productive. Hayriye challenged me to start tracking my time properly and focus on the work that actually moves the needle. It sounds simple, but it’s something most people (including me) overlook.

She also made me realise how much I was letting my emails control my day. Since putting her advice into practice, I’ve been far more intentional with how I work.

We had a follow-up call about a month later, which was great because it gave me a clear deadline to implement everything. That accountability made a huge difference.

Overall, a really valuable experience, straightforward advice, practical steps, and real results. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend!! I can now focus on the parts of my business that light me up, and delegate the things I don't like doing or have time for!

I’m an online fitness coach, and do everything in my business. I never thought about working
with a VA until I joined BNI, and realised that by delegating tasks that I didn’t want to do or aren’t
good at, would save me time and money in the long run.
I’ve been working with Hayriye and her associate Jamie from Smart PA for a few months now,
and they have been fantastic! I’ve wasted so much time trying to figure out how to create
landing pages and making emails look professional, and in just an hour Jamie did a much better
job than I could have done in a week.
Thanks to their support, I’ve been able to focus on the areas of the business that I love – helping
my clients achieve their goals and writing bespoke workout plans, and being able to reply
quicker to their questions! I feel like a weight has been lifted and I’m levelling up my business.
Jamie also increased my Instagram following and started conversations with my ideal client,
which is also something I didn’t have time for. The engagement on my account grew tenfold, and
the next stage is to have Smart PA do my social media posts with the wording and direction I give
them, as again – I don’t have the time or skills to make them “look pretty” but I know the content
is good.
They are there whenever I have a question, are super quick to reply (we even have a WhatsApp
group) and we have check in calls once a week. I feel so supported working with Hayriye and
Jamie, and I’m so glad I made the decision to work with them. I tell all my friends that they need
a Hayriye in their life!! Beyond her skills, she’s dependable, proactive, and a joy to work with.

I’ve been working with Nat for a while now, and I couldn’t be happier with the support she provides. Aga's support has been a game changer

Aga Stochnij's support in our small business has been a game-changer. Over time she has been able to take on more and more responsibilities. Helped me get an ADHD diagnosis!

Hayriye Mazzotta was really helpful. I was given 100+ pages of paediatric reports from when I got diagnosed with autism back in 1996, by the Great Western Hospital (in a bid to get evidence for an ADHD diagnosis).

Hayriye helped me to make sense of some very difficult handwriting and I was able to provide her transcriptions to the assessor, who helped me to get a diagnosis! 😁

They promised to give a bonus client to guarantee income to cover your monthly cost - which never materialized and I wasn’t making enough each month. I raised it many times but nothing came of it. And then Covid happened so I definitely wasn’t getting anywhere with it.
This was the absolute worst decision to join this franchise and I still had to pay back the 15k loan with no business to help pay it back. Smart PA are absolutely scandalous!!
Believe the negative reviews on Google Maps…. Be careful!!

My family and I faced a serious case of negligence involving a major retailer. While I’m unable to name the company due to a non-disclosure agreement, the support we received from Hayriye was outstanding. Although not a solicitor (even though she absolutely should be), Hayriye brought a level of knowledge, professionalism, and practical insight that was instrumental in helping us resolve the issue without the stress, cost, or time of going through the courts.

Her guidance made the entire experience smooth and completely stress-free. The successful outcome we achieved together is a testament to her ability, and I truly believe there’s no limit to what she can accomplish in her SmartPA business and I would highly recommend Hayriye to anyone needing strong, knowledgeable support to navigate complex or challenging situations.
