My trip to Florida I was not given all the details upfront. I originally booked non-stop flight. Then I was called back and was told I would need to change my flight and pay another $199.00 and they couldn't do anything about it. I will NEVER use this company again they are scammers. DO NOT TRUST SMARTCHEAPFARES.

I was not advised upfront of all the restrictions on the economy ticket. No baggage whatsoever allowed on an 8 day trip, not even with paying the fee? No checking in the day before the trip? I was prepared for no seat selection and no cancellation or changes. The other things were an unpleasant surprise. No suitcase allowed for an 8 day trip was impossible. I had to rebook at a much higher price.

Smartcheapfares is basically a bait -and-switch operation. Advertises a great price which turns out to have so many restrictions that it's virtually useless. They then want to give you the "best available " deal on the flight you actually need, in my case, at almost 3 times the original price. Like other reviewers I have no idea how they got a good Trustpilot rating. Recommend avoiding this company.

Scam, bait and switch. "Booked" a round trip and called the next day to be told the flight to the destination was "standby" but they could get me on it for 2x what I already paid in ADDITION to what I already paid. They did offer alternate flights (for an additional fee, of course) but when I said I had to check with the other traveler they tried to tighten the screws with "if you don't book this RIGHT NOW the price WILL GO UP. If you call back in 10 minutes, it WILL GO UP."

Also - notice how most of the 5 star reviews include the first and last name of the "agent" who assisted the reviewer in the first sentence?
