The original price quoted at the time of booking for $120 RT, increased by $116 when I received my confirmation #. I was told they would do my check in which they didn’t do, and the birthday associated with the boarding pass they sent per email did not match my actual birthday, which I found out after waiting in the long line for TSA to verify my boarding pass information with my driver’s license, they also told me that I could arrive at the airport an hour before my flight, thank goodness I got there early or I would have missed my flight handling the mismatched birthday on my boarding pass compared to my license

Do not use. Bait and switch. Booked tickets for 4 people, then they call and tell me only two are confirmed (2 on standby). Original price $2350, proce to put all 4 on same flight, $6300. Then they move you to a different flight, but will not give you a confirmation number from the airline. I declined all charges and reported to my bank as fraud. Do not fall for their BS.

I thought I was booking a discounted United flight with SmartCheapFares, but instead of getting an electronic ticket confirmation, I got a confirmation that my request was being processed and confirmation would follow shortly. The email had a comment that if I hadn't gotten a call or email within 24 hours, to call them. No email or call by the next day, so I called. I was told that my reservation was being processed and I should get an e-ticket within the next couple of hours. Seven hours later, still no ticket, so I called again. I was told I was on "standby" with the airline and that they would let me know if/when I was ticketed. At this point, I asked them to just cancel out my request and was told that my ticket was non-refundable. And yet, I had no ticket. When I mentioned this, I was told that for a $100 fee, they'd cancel my request. Otherwise, they would continue to try to book the ticket with United and had up until 6/20/2025, the day before my requested departure date, to book the ticket. WHAT THE HECK?
No where on their website do they say that the ticket will not be issued immediately, that is only disclosed in their confirmation email. When I got upset (yes I raised my voice and asked to speak to a manager), I was told that they would not transfer me to a manager and would hang up on me. But not before they told me that I'd be unable to book with United myself because my name was already associated with the flight / date, and airlines don't issue duplicate tickets. And yet I kept going back to the fact that I wasn't issued an e-ticket.
Apparently, this company feels that they have unlimited time to book you on the selected flight. I suspect they have deceptively low flights to lure customers to their sight, and then upsell customers to actual flights that they can book, at higher fees of course.
From my experience, this company is HORRIBLE and may even be fraudulent in its dealings with customers. I cannot stress this enough - AVOID USING THIS COMPANY. For TrustPilot, none of their reviews are verified. Hmm....makes you think.

I thought they were so helpful. I was told the tot cost was 289 00 round trip. I was satisfied with that and paid if. I had to call Spirit for something and found out the tot price was 166.03 . What the heck?

I strongly recommend Evelyn Jones for my travel needs. She acted very professionally and was very prompt in taking care of my airline reservations. Plus she is extremely polite and cordial.

there were multiple phone calls with staff over a 2 day period asking us to upgrade to higher seat cost plus fee for higher cost put through without our consent. The people were hard to understand. A fair and honest approach was not done and every phone call gave a different reason resulting in frustration on both sides.

Booked a flight and was called two hours later and told that the tickets I purchased did not allow for baggage on the flight and was charged double to get a flight that allowed checked baggage, on there website under the price of the ticket it says price includes taxes and fees and under that it says no baggage included which I assumed meant that the price did not include the price for checked bags. Do not use this site they are a scam

The Smart Cheap Fares site is a scam. As mentioned in previous reviews, I received a call informing me my seat was no longer available and I had to either upgrade by paying $300 more or change to a different date and also pay an increased fee. When asked for a refund I was told the order could not be refunded. I called my credit card company immediately and had them flag my account so this company was unable to charge my card.
