Always there when needed. Payroll requests were completed on time and if there were any delays they would always do their best to get a resolution.

I used Smartwork for about 3 years and I only have positive things to say about them. The onboarding was very quick and simple, payroll super efficient, they were great at advising me on various salary / tax / pension variables, extremely responsive to questions. Would recommend very highly!

I joined SmartWork umbrella organisation over a year ago. Neil Kane helped me with all my queries during the joining process and also while I was with SmartWork.
The joining process was very smooth. The fees charged were reasonable. The portal used for submitting timesheets, viewing payslips is very clear and responsive.
The payments were on time. They also provide contributions to private pensions for a nominal fee.
Whenever I had any queries Neil & the compliance team were very prompt in responding over email or phone.
I have no hesitation in recommending SmartWork.

Smartwork always respond in a timely fashion and understood that I did not want to do everything on line. I have only just retired at 78 years old. I am totally fed up with companies only responding by website. This has not been the case with Smartwork. I've had 2 assignments through SmartWork. First one was an excellent experience from start to finish - I was working through SmartWork for 18 months, having researched and found them to be in the top 3 recommended umbrella companies, and I wasn't disappointed. Everything was smooth in terms of getting paid, I don't recall a single time I needed to contact them with a problem. Would strongly recommend them to any and all of my contractor friends taking an inside IR35 contract.

My second time with SmartWork (12 months this time) and the experience was as good as the first. No problems, all smooth and great support from Ian on answering random questions. Highly recommended (still!)

IR35 was a complete mystery to me when I started but SmartWork made it simple, don't hesitate to ask questions. My Account Manager, Neil Kane, always responded promptly to my enquiries and provided examples where necessary. I have now had two contract spells with SmartWork with a 2-year break in between and it was very easy to re-sign without hassle. I have been very pleased with their services.
