Excellent service and beautiful product! I needed to hold the shipment because of delays in prepping the foundation, which was easily accommodated. I also had some questions about roofing and painting that were answered super quickly. Very pleased with my Brightoln shed!

Extremely happy with my new "she shed". Solid Build Wood staff very helpful and accomodating. Quality of shed materials are outstanding. Construction instructions clear and easy to follow. Delivery was flawless and right on time. Would ( and have) highly rcommended Solid Build Wood.

The final product is amazing and I couldn't have built this without the guidance provided by a kit. Some things I wasn't exactly ready for:

1. You have to have a place to put your pieces (walls, flooring, etc) and sort out what's what. Slightly overwhelming at first.
2. Trust yourself if the drawings don't match the instructions.
3. Be prepared to use your tools.
4. Plan painting the shed.
5. Plan your roof.

This kit made me look like I know how to build beautiful things.

I am thrilled with my Gardener 10x10 storage shed! I would say I love it but my wife is already suspicious that I spend too much time there. My original plan was to design and build a shed, but then I remembered my cousin’s shed in Sweden and decided to investigate that. Solid Build makes that style, which is exactly what I wanted and for less money than my design-it-from-scratch model. With all of their styles and options, any need is covered. I chose a basic storage shed and added a window. It worked for me and the space I had available.

To be honest, there is a lot of work to put up a shed. I put quite a bit of effort into getting the foundation built. I also included an adjacent 10x10 deck and installed electric lights and outlets. However, the actual assembly of the shed is not difficult; it was fun. This has created a remote room that can be used year round and I’m confident it adds to the value of our house.

The 4 criteria: Design: They are so clever at Solid Build. The interlocking board design makes for a clean looking structure, inside and out. The operation of the windows is very functional. The doors and windows can be removed from their hinge mounts. The final appearance is a mix of rustic and modern. Quality: The boards came well packaged and were in fine condition: straight and true. Just to be sure, they include a couple extra. Because I had extra wood from cutting the window opening, I made a small table that matches the shed. Also, the hardware is good quality. Price: As I said, I don’t think I could have bought my own boards and supplies for a lower total cost. Support: Their email support to answer questions before the purchase and during the construction were timely, helpful and friendly. Believe me, I asked a lot of questions! The instructions were thorough. I also want to applaud the young couple that delivered the kit to my house. They were friendly and helpful.

Excellent product that is easy to construct. The instructions were at times confusing. I enjoyed putting it together. I would recommend this product. It is a very solid shed.

I have recommended this product to friends and offered to help them build it when they order. If I need another “shed” (calling it a shed is like calling a penthouse an apartment) I will be ordering from Solidbuild.

I do have some constructive feedback for improving the product.

1) I would change the instructions a little to install the doors before finishing the roof boards. The real test of if your door frame is square or not is if you can get your doors to open and close correctly. I did this and was very happy I did. Having the doors on is better than just measuring.

2) I ran into some quality issues with the hinges on one door. The hinges were off a few degrees but I was able to redrill holes and reattach the hinges to the door. I would suggest beefing up your quality inspection of doors since they are super critical.

3) Even with all the roof boards installed I’m seeing some drift in the squareness of the door frame. I’m going to add rafters to stiffen up the structure. These will run between the outter beams and the walls. Right now I have a temp brace attached to the subfloor and the wall. Since it has been in place I haven’t seen any drift. Of course it can’t stay there but since it works so well I have good confidence that I have found where the drift is happening and believe the rafters will fix it. Maybe there’s something you can add to your design to stiffen the structure. Maybe even rafters :-)

In conclusion I just can’t say enough good things about this product. I’m so happy I purchased this instead of getting one of sheds from the local hardware store or building my own from scratch.

Can’t say enough about how happy I was with my Solid Build experience. The delivery was great, the communication was extremely prompt when I had some questions and feel really well supported as I build my shed.

The shed gets five stars for cuteness and wow factor. I did not know when I ordered the shed that it had to be shipped from someplace in northern Europe. My contact person was in the Seattle area and she did not say that the kit was not in the States. The delivery was professional and smooth. I wonder about users who claim that two of them put it together in two or three days. In my experience, six workers, two of them professional construction guys, spent three days over Mothers Day weekend assembling the shed. We assembled the shed on a concrete pad that is larger than the footprint of the shed. In rainy Oregon, we are concerned about water seeping under the shed and causing mold. We used caulk to seal the wood to the concrete. The accessory window works exactly as advertised, is novel and is very cute. The tongue-and-groove construction works well. The French doors did not latch when we first installed them. After some adjustment, the doors now latch but the left hand door does not clear the sill; it must be lifted and the bottom bolt does not fit into the bolt box. After the shed was assembled, the workers spent several more hours installing the roof.

We are delighted with our shed. It is airy light, and a wonderful and inviting space to daydream, write or simply look out through the charming windows at the stars or sun-dappled leaves. Everything arrived on time and we enjoyed the Lincoln-log-like process of assembling the shed. Despite a bit of a learning curve using cordless drills etc. - we are neophytes - it all came together beautifully. The sub-flooring (we went with waterproof plywood) and roofing were the most challenging part of the build, but we did it! and felt a real sense of accomplishment when all was said and done. When we had questions, and we didn't have many as the instructions are very good, they were answered promptly and well via chat or the phone. The design of the Whales is terrific and the wood and hardware are very high quality and attractive. We really could not be more pleased with the results.

The website was great and really answered all of my questions. I ordered a small 8' x8' shed and it was available to ship immediately. Within 4 days of ordering, it was delivered to my house. It took 3 adults half a day to put it together. The hardest part was deciding where I wanted to put my windows. Overall, the quality of the wood is really great - nicely finished and well made. It was a really fun project to do. Once you got in a rhythm, it went really quickly. I am thrilled with my shed. I'm using it as an outdoor office and installed a wall unit a/c and ran power to it. I had an issue with the windows closing but the customer service was amazing and walked me through how to fix it.

Wonderful Project and fun to build. Customer Service was there to answer a couple questions instantly and very helpful. I was impressed with the kit and how simple the assembly was. Since I built the shed myself, I would recommend having an additional person assist you. It took me 5 days to assemble the shed. It looks great, my friends and neighbors are very impressed and love the shed.

Moderna shed is excellent. Nicely designed and relatively easy to build even for a novice like me. Customer service was excellent (Igna and Tomas were knowledgeable, friendly, very responsive, followed up quickly and were very patient! 🙂. Would highly recommend based on my experience.

I absolutely love my new shed! SolidBuild was great to work with and kept me informed every step of the way in the shipping process and the delivery process. It did take longer than 30-60 minutes with 2 people unloading the truck but other than that it was great. Everything was there that was needed and it was built with no issues. I have received so many compliments on it, including the guys who put it together. My kids are loving hanging out in our new "outdoor room" with their friends and I am planning on enjoying it for many years!

On top of a great product, Solid Build has the most amazing customer service. The shed itself was so easy to build and looks really lovely. This is a quality company that makes really quality sheds. The tongue and groove construction made the shed go up very quickly and adds to the design overall. The most time and energy-consuming part was actually preparing the foundation to put the hed on top of. We did have to figure this out and build it separate from the kit, but the Solid Build team was really helpful with information and tips on how to do it. I have never had such a positive customer service experience from another company. There was an issue with our windows coming in the wrong size, so they offered to custom build us the correct size and delivered them to us. When we had one board that had a defect, they came out to our house to hand-deliver and custom cut the piece. They were very communicative about shipping and always ready to answer any questions we had. I would highly recommend them!

Every aspect of my interaction with the team at Solid build has been outstanding! They are kind, courteous, offer great advice and take customer service to an entirely new level. I will definitely be doing more business with them in the future and highly recommend the company and it’s product!
