I have been a loyal customer for nearly 6 years. Over the past year more and more deliveries are missing items —no replacement, just missing/refunded. As I order the amount I need for a week of work, this means I have to now try to cook (living in a hotel on travel) or order at the cafeteria with unhealthy options. Now their selection has massively decreased in terms of soup options. The final straw was they changed their packaging (so no longer reusable) and therefore decreased the portions for the same price!

Splendid Spoon meals provide me with a large variety of convenient, healthy and tasty noodle, grain, veggie and soup options, as I strive to maintain a highly plant based, heart healthy, gluten and cholesterol free focus. I enjoy the smoothies and immunity shot drinks as a treat. Everything is delivered to my door and is ready to transfer to the freezer upon arrival. The meals are flavorful and filling; it's easy to just grab one from the freezer and head out for the day.

I love the taste of the food overall. The convenience of being able to order without a subscription is the best.

I have ordered many times from splendid spoon. Started with the smoothies which I very much enjoyed. I order meals from Market place and I like that I do not have to subscribe (can order as needed). I like the variety of meals, flavors and portion sizes. They recently changed their packaging to be more sustainable. I would recommend Splendid spoon!

I often read reviews but rarely write any. I feel strongly that a positive review about the products and customer service I've received from Splendid Spoon over the last year and a half is warranted.

Has there been an occasion or two where an order required me to contact customer service? Yes. Have their support team bent over backwards to resolve the problem in a quick and sympathetic manner? Absolutely. I would give them a higher rating than 5 if I could based upon their commitment to customer satisfaction.

Now, let's talk about the Smoothies (that's what I purchase regularly). I was extremely encouraged by the list of organic, plant-based and superfoods ingredients and the thoughtful combination of these to come up with really delicious blends when I was first introduced to Splendid Spoon. I have lived with T1 diabetes for over 40 years and find including these smoothies as a meal replacement has indeed helped me support a healthy and active lifestyle.

There are so many delicious flavors to choose from and I am quite satisfied with the variety. I don't like every flavor combination they offer but there is an abundant selection available to keep my palate satisfied throughout the week. When I compare the ease and cost of purchasing Smoothies from Splendid Spoon to the hassle and effort to make smoothies from scratch, Splendid Spoon is by far a better value and superior product than what I can do myself.

I enthusiastically give the product and company the highest rating based on price, flavor, quality, delivery, and customer service.

Been ordering for years! Everything is super tasty, nutritious, and made my PCOS symptoms (I’ve struggled with for 20+ years) basically nonexistent. I’ve tried other vegan meal services and they were unbelievably high in sodium and calories. The chili grain bowl, pineapple smoothie, and lentil dal are my faves

I am impressed in the quality but mostly on the flavor. The mixes are so creative and my kiddo loves it this is the only way he would hear his veggies. I’m so happy with little soon

Just not great. I decided to cancel the service due to many issues. The deliveries have been a nightmare. Just really bad. The food is very overpriced given it is mostly carbs not vegetables, etc. It's vegan, which I knew, but I could get meals elsewhere with meat for the same price. Protein is more expensive--overpriced. The smoothies are very overpriced as well. I also had a deal receive 120 off of four boxes. They only did this once and I was charged full price this time for meals I didn't even want. Waste of 126.00. Plus I asked for a Friday delivery. They delivered today. People are out of town for Thanksgiving, luckily I was just leaving for the weekend. Just an overpriced mess.

I recently ordered over $145.00 of food items from Splendid Spoon. This was my first time and I was hoping to be a repeat customer.
The shipment came warm, box torn and wet.
When I reached out to the company, they basically said they'd be concerned about the safety of the food, too.
That was it!! No attempt to make anything right or appear to care at all about customer service.

Decided to try Splendid Spoon smoothies despite all these reviews. I had no problem ordering on the website, my order came quickly and in great condition. Loved the smoothies which I personally chose out of their selection and will definitely be ordering again. The follow up from the company was great as well as keeping me informed all throughout the shipping process. Very pleased with their products.

Disgusting food and smoothies that are barely edible. Tried one smoothie and almost spit it out. Extremely sour and tastes like there's literally dirt or sand in it. Tried a curry noodle meal and it was disgusting.
Most importantly, I canceled before the deadline (I had to email support as the cancel button wouldn't show up on the site), and they purposely took an extra business day to get back to me so that they could charge me for box #2. The thing is, I selected "skip delivery" for several weeks, so either way I shouldn't have been charged today at all. Luckily, my credit card had just been canceled so they were unable to actually charge me. I guess I got luckily with the timing (I'd just had a bogus charge on the card and had to cancel it/order a new card). It sucks to think that I would have had to dispute the 2nd charge if it had gone through. I don't even feel like I should have to pay for box #1 because the food is all so terrible and it's probably going in the trash.

After significant issues with shipping and the loss if our first order, our smoothie box arrived. The customer service was sub-par through that process. Once we got our box, absolutely no one in our family liked a single one of the smoothies. They are chalky, gritty and really not good tasting. We ordered once and never again unfortunately.

Has declined greatly in the last few months. they are now charging the same price or more (which was around $13 per meal NOT including delivery, so really more like $15-17) for plates that are 1/2 the size. They really thought we wouldn't notice. As a personal trainer I used to recommend them to busy moms but I no longer do.

Overcharged - they charged $13 in shipping cost to my card that wasn’t quoted in the checkout process

Meals are overpriced and they hide ingredients, making it very hard for those of us with allergies and intolerances. Missing items with no chance to choose a substitute

I have tried 5 of the meals and liked ONE. Most of them are very small portions for the price. I can buy better quality and better tasting meals at the grocery store. The vegan chicken was rubbery with very little pasta. The “spaghetti and meatballs” meal was nothing to write home about….. etc etc. I am disappointed I spent so much money on food that I have to force myself to eat.

Paid $148 for 7 smoothies, 7 bowls and 5 shots. All items arrived thawed and at least 3 were expired. It’s concerning that they don’t check dates before sending to their customers. Packaging was a mess and all thrown together. Customer service did respond quickly which I appreciated and offered a credit on my next box, but I don’t want another box. To me first impressions are everything. This was a splurge and if there are problems right off the top, I can imagine they will only continue. So no thanks. After a few emails back and forth, I’m told they are refunding the amount spent on the expired items. Also worth mentioning is that I asked 3 times where I could find the expiration date in the bowls bc there’s not one. They refused to answer that question all 3 times. Instead they wrote and said how not to be put off by the expired product dates and that many people miss out on good food because they’re turned off that it’s EXPIRED. What the heck!!??? Won’t be ordering again!!!

The smoothies are complete garbage. At best, they taste like various baby foods mixed with bananas. If you like smoothies with the consistency of curdled milk and the taste of baby food... Then go ahead.

The bowls are even more hot and miss. Lemon Wild Rice & Broccoli smells exactly like it tastes... A 1 star hotel room with hints of smoke, funk, and poop.

This food may be healthy, but you're better off eating grass next to a dumpster.

Don't buy the fake reviews listed on their website.

This company is progressively going downhill. 3 out of the last 4 deliveries I have received arrived hot and without ice. I contacted customer support every single time, and they assured it would be fixed. Spoiler alert: it never was. And the only thing they did to rectify the situation was give me store credit for the THREE WARM BOXES of wasted meals. The one box I received last month that wasn't warm, ended up having a huge hair in one of the smoothies that I almost swallowed. Disgusting, terrible quality control, and don't care about their customers at all. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Company is progressively going downhill.

Got my first order last week. Arrived hot. Got my second order today. Arrived warm. All had to be trashed. I don’t understand why it’s not being overnighted and instead, shipped and taking 3 days! Complete waste of time and money. Don’t recommend at all!

I relied heavily on Splendid Spoon from late 2018 to early 2020, when I spent busy, 10-hr days in the office. The soups were delicious and healthy, and I ate them for breakfast and lunch.

I ordered again recently and was disappointed in the flavors. Spices, herbs, and heat were missing. Some of my favorites were noticeably less flavorful, while other favorites were dropped from the menu. I liked this service because of the bold and unique offerings, but they’ve really gone in a bland direction over the past 2 years.

The food is hard to get through now unless you season it yourself with hot sauce, herbs, and spices.
