There’s been some confusion around the monthly fee, but Superprof isn’t a scam. It simply uses a subscription business model. Tutors advertise very cheaply, which keeps lesson prices lower. Students pay a $69AUD/month subscription (around $16AUD per week). This could be made clearer upfront, but even with that added, lessons are still cheaper than most music schools.

As a tutor, Superprof has been fantastic for growing my business. I went from around 10 students per week to over 50 (full capacity) after about a year. Improving & boosting your profile over time is straightforward. By collecting reviews and being honest in your ads about your best skills, specialities and teaching interests, you can attract students who genuinely enjoy your teaching style, making the work very rewarding.
