The worst experience ever.
Nowhere was it mentioned that I had to pay $69 per month in addition to the tutor's tuition fee. However, when Superprof first took $69, I thought it would be deducted from the tutor's tuition fee. When I became aware, I cancelled the subscription, but they refused to issue a refund. That indicates I paid $69 without receiving any service. I think they deliberately set the tuition fee low as bait to earn a one-time $69 fee, which is absolutely disgusting.

These guys are a scam, avoid.

Despite what the advertised rate is for the tutor, be prepared to pay about $70 just to make contact. It's a gamble what you get if they accept your request. The money is gone. You then have to try to claw it back rather than get a simple refund if you're not satisfied with how things have turned out. There is no mention when you join the fee is for for a fixed short period and it automatically recurs - just how wonderful it is you've got access to a minefield of other tutors that have no relevance to your needs.

Superprof misleads users during the sign-up process. They advertise a $69 monthly fee to find tutors, but it turns out to be a forced recurring subscription. They will charge your credit card authomatically every month regardless of whether you actually found a tutor or if the profiles you contacted are fake.

The cancellation process is deliberately confusing and require manually "suspend" in the settings, and they automatically rebill you if it isn't done perfectly or forget. I have requested a refund three times via email, and i have warned them ACCC has flagged automatic renewal clauses as potentially unfair contract terms under Section 24. After All their AI-support refused, claiming I accepted their terms and conditions. They operate overseas and completely ignore consumer complaints in Australia. Save your money, NEVER NEVER use Superprof or your will be regret. I am reporting them to the ACCC for further investigate .

Really poor experience. Super prof itself was unresponsive, never responding when I had questions. Tutors cancelled three times at the very last minute, twice when I was already sitting on the call. Despite a month of continuously trying and being very flexible I was unable to secure a tutor, even for the free first lesson! To pay that much for the student pass and to get absolutely no where was a rip off.

Interestingly after super prof responded saying they wanted to discuss my experience I contacted them and had a back and forth with an AI chatbot which was completely unhelpful, further confirming how little regard superprof has for paying subscribers.

Charged twice and no tutoring delivered.
No tutors available in my area. It wasn't clear to me my I had to cancel an ongoing subscription. Paid for nothing. To be clear there were no available tutors in my area yet I they continued to charge me.

I signed up to Superprof to help my father find a tutor and submitted a request to a single tutor.

After creating my account, I received an email stating that I would only be charged the $69 Student Pass fee if and when a teacher accepted my lesson request. The tutor I contacted never accepted my request. Instead, I began receiving messages from numerous other tutors that I had not personally contacted.

Despite not receiving tutoring services, I was later charged $69. I found the Student Pass subscription and charging process confusing and did not understand that I was signing up for a recurring paid membership.

I have contacted customer support requesting a refund and cancellation and have also disputed the transaction with my bank.

Superprof has gotten back to me and refunded the money charged to my account.

My advice to Superprof would be to only start the Student Pass subscription when you have successfully connected with a Tutor of your choosing.

Such a versatile and convenient website for tutoring

I have been tutoring on Superprof and its been a great experience. The platform makes it easy to connect with students and manage everything smoothly. Really happy with it and would recommend it to anyone looking to offer their tutoring services

Superprof is a great platform to engage tutors with students. I have had an overall good experience as a tutor on the platform. Superprof team is also prompt on taking actions against scammers or spam profiles, and they have always reverted with action within 2 days whenever I reported.

Easy to use and easy to promote yourself! A useful website!

Compared to other platforms, I feel students on Superprof are generally more serious and motivated, which makes teaching more rewarding and worthwhile. The platform is easy to use, and I’ve had many great experiences with long-term students here. Overall, it has been a positive platform to work with.

It’s a great platform to connect tutor and students. It’s easy to use and the people I met on the platform are mostly good and made a difference in my life.

Wonderful website for teachers to gain new students. Very easy to navigate around. This website is free to use for teachers. I love how students can contact the teachers and at the same time providing their contact details to us to reply them. Great website! 👍

I really like Superprof because it has helped me to gain many students. It's free for teachers to use. All the students on this website are genuine and the success rate for gaining students is very high. Superprof makes it easy for everyone to communicate with each other. Thank you Superprof!!

System is easy to use HOWEVER when I chose the tutor I wanted and she wasn't available I was then passed onto someone else. I didn't want to choose someone else, there was a specific reason why I chose the lady I did. I have been charged and yet I have not booked any lessons in or anything. I would be very weary using this system.

I was looking forward to accessing an art tutor to get some ideas for painting and drawing. Once I noticed you have to give your full bank card details before you even commence a lesson I backed out. This is quite wrong. You also cannot contact the tutor before you start (and hand over money) to ask q’s. Sorry SuperProf. This is NOT the way to do business. Very disappointed.

I was unable to find a tutor for my son as the appropriate ones declined. However the website charged me regardless saying that I had offers so my pass was live despite these all being unsuitable. I emailed the company and they have replied and refunded the amount given my circumstances. Appreciate the response from customer service.

Please make sure you read the terms and conditions closely before continuing. You register and then as soon as a tutor accepts to communicate with you then you get charged $69.
Whether you actually end up booking a session with the tutor or not your money is gone. Do not expect a refund as they will not provide one as they hide behind the fact that a tutor accepts contact they can charge you.

Response to your response and what about the people that cannot find a tutor and are then out of pocket. It appears this is a very common issue.

One of the best things to have happened to my teaching. Half of my current students are from Superprof, and I've had the pleasure and honour to guide HSC students through their music journey, all the way to graduation.
