At a time of extreme distress and discomfort I received excellent care and help. Every member of the team has been very professional, patient and reassuring. I was referred to their tinnitus counsellor, who helped to set me on a path of self-care and reduced distress, which has helped me gain a better balance in my life. I am still living with tinnitus (after 5 years), but have learnt to manage it with their help.

The review is for Steve Douglas who is absolutely fantastic. From start to finish he explained everything and gave me tools to cope with both tinnitus and hypercusis. Super knowledgable, great communications and also cheery. Great ambassador for the clinic. Communications with the clinic direct not as great with long delays very disappointing.

I’m only 2 months into my treatment for tinnitus and Hyperacusis but am already noticing an improvement. So far, so good!

Very professional and organised service. My appointments have always been on time. The environment is comfortable, even cosy. I can’t fault the service.

I found the clinic to be very helpful when dealing with my problem and in choosing the ideal earing aid that would help me most. I found the ideal product for myself and my tinnitus has improved a great deal. I am very happy with the device.

It was a relief to speak to a consultant who knew all about tinnitus. There was no pressure selling and I was offered what he thought was the most suitable solution. Two small earpieces that make a white noise tuned to be similar to my tinnitus pitch and a headband to wear at night also playing a similar white noise. After five weeks I’m much less aware of my tinnitus. During the day and in bed it is masked so I’m not stressing about whether or not it’s getting louder or changing pitch. I try to spend a few hours without the sounds so that I can get used to it and although I can still hear the tinnitus I find that I drift away from it quite a bit. It’s not grabbing my attention all the time like it used to. I’m pleased with the results so far I would say that the impact on my life has dropped by 80% already despite the fact that I am going through an incredibly stressful time.

I was disappointed with my visit to the clinic. I arrived in hopeful expectation of a full and frank discussion about my tinnitus but instead felt rushed through the tests towards a particular product that the audiologist clearly wanted to sell. My tinnitus is unilateral and somatic but my questions about this felt brushed aside and I was paying the £198 fee in just over 50 mins as opposed to the 90 that I expected. The tests were administered well, however.

The product was decribed as a noise in my ear through an aid that was helping many people to diminish their tinnitus (for some people to remove it completely) if I listened to it for up to 8 hours a day. The clinic would expect to see results in about a month.

We agreed that I would think about it following a pending MRI result and I left somewhat baffled and downhearted......

Excellent appointments. Professional and patient discussion of case... Secretary had wrong name on the appointment list..... A bit unsettling when you've travelled a long way..!

I like the reliability of the staff when finding you an appointment and I like friendly approach and the moral support of the senior audiologist. It is very important for our condition.
