I ordered from Thrift Books three times.

The first order was a gift for a dear friend that went smoothly.

My second order was a couple of board books in "Like New" condition for my baby girl. One of the books was NOT as described above; it looked heavily used with damage to the edge of a few pages and the covers.

Since I was offered a free book under $5, I placed another order. My third order is also a couple of board books in "Like New" condition. Depending on the condition of these books, I may or may NOT consider purchasing from them again.

I paid for a book but it never arrived. When I contacted #ThriftBooks they didn't want to know. I was charged the money but no book. Avoid these guys at all costs and do not trust them with payments or credit card details.

Thrift books is literally the best place to purchase books. All my life i've always shopped at Barnes and noble or half price books. However, as i started buying books more frequently; the cost started adding up to a lot. That's when I found thrift books. The prices are unbeatable and are usually always cheaper than any other new or used bookstore. Once you place an order, it takes less than a week for it to arrive. Moreover, after spending a certain amount of money, you are gifted a free book.

I only had one instance where I did not receive my books in the scheduled time frame. However, I let thrift books know and they immediately replied back saying they'd resend a new shipment of those same books free of charge.

Definitely, definitely, definitely recommend this company.

In order to "respond" to them I have to log in and do all sorts of mechanizations. Why can't they just respond to me? I don't have the time to go through all those steps. Not worth the effort. Easier to not order from Thriftbooks.

This is a really good site for avid readers. A couple times I have received books that weren't what I thought they were. For the most part the books and shipping is cheap and the books are always in good shape!

Absolutely love this site for purchasing books in conditions from acceptable to new. Shipping is fair, around 5-10 days normally, sometimes faster sometimes slower.. not their fault on that end though.
Shipping price is amazing! It is $0.99 unless you spend $10.00 you get free shipping. RECOMMENDED!

I ordered 3 books from a series. They only had 2 of them used but the other one new. I love reading and books can be expensive and really add up so I love the accessibility of an online thrift book store. The 2 used books were in decent shape and I had all of them within a few days!

Jennifer was an excellent customer service representative on the phone. Not only was her voice calm and confident but ThriftBook.com has VERY QUICK wait times!

Amazing! During this Covid Crazy Time, when other companies literally let customers wait for 10, 15 or even 30 minutes on the phone for a live person, ThriftBooks let me wait for less than 30 seconds. Amazing!

An excellent book that was delivered promptly and in the very good condition, as was promised. This book came from Thrift Books, Atlanta store but I have had this A+ experience at the Seattle store also.
I will always check Thrift Books before I buy elsewhere.

First orders or 2 were quite a long wait but orders since have been speedy. Books are reasonable priced. Only
real complaint I have is I am receiving books with bookmarks pieces of paper, post cards, businesses cards etc. Over all I am satisfied

I wrote a review this morning in which I gave the company one star because they sent me a book where the jacket, which had the correct title, belied the actual contents. I will now qualify my initial review to state that the customer service rep, Ryan, was very responsive, answered quickly (no long hold), & promised a refund after checking that there were no replacement copies in stock. Decent customer service in today's world is huge.

I've found Thrift Books to be useful since starting grad school - to save on some of the more expensive books. So far, most of the books I've received have turned up in the condition I expected.

However, there have been a few books that weren't. For example, a 'like new' book full of highlighting etc, or another 'like new' with a stain across the exterior of the pages. I did receive a refund, however - I had to order a replacement, which resulted in me waiting longer to get the actual product I wanted! It's useful, but just don't have high expectations and be prepared in case you get a bad book!

Purchased the anti inflammatory diet cookbook. Pages were missing, actually ripped out of the book. Had this been disclosed I would have bought elsewhere. I guess there is no one to validate the pages are all intact.
