Working with Jay Anderson on this project was excellent. He was helpful, eager to listen and quick with his responses. I highly recommend him.

WARNING THIS IS A SCAM!!!! Please read the BBB complaints before doing business with this company. 1. All complaints are similar in nature with poor quality/incomplete work. 2. There are no responses or documentation that the BBB complaints were resolved (12 closed & unanswered). 3. They do not honor their company policy (per their website and refuse to issue refunds when requested)..they’ll steal your money. 4. Try calling Website Profs business number. It only plays outgoing music, you cannot interact with anyone using this number! The “FAKE”Positive reviews were written by representatives of Website Profs attempting to disqualify the complaints of other businesses.

***I would gladly rate them less than a “1 star” if I could. This company was contacted to build a website. I explained that I wanted to have an online presence so whenever the name was searched on Google, the individual searching would find something to validate the legitimacy of the company. Their rep explained that it would take 5 days for the first draft submission up to 3 wks. to complete the site. I asked if they could do a “Landing page” (until the website was finished, that would display the company name” when searched on Google...and anyone who searched the name would be routed to the landing page on the website that indicated “Site Under Construction” while they were building it. They agreed. I explained that I had recently experienced an incident with a contractor on FB, who indicated that since he couldn’t find anything on the Internet about the company - he felt that he was wasting his time and that it was a scam. I did not want to experience that again & knew that a presence on the web was needed. The representative eagerly assured me that they could definitely do that and suggested the “best website package for small businesses & that would be the best option for what I wanted. He said that they did not normally do “Landing Pages”, but would make an exception to earn my business. After agreeing to use this company, he sent me to their site’s back office where I created a log in, made the payment then he had me to complete a questionnaire about the information that would be on the company website. A few days after our initial contact & I had made the initial payment for the website, I was contacted again by this representative who offered a website hosting option for $299 for the year. He explained that they would manage the site, I would still be able to make any content updates and why that was a good price for hosting a site. After expressing my hesitancy-since no initial work had been done on the website that I had already paid for and yet I was now being contacted for more money (without ever seeing any of their work for the initial payment) for them to create the website. He communicated that they were still building the website, but would email me a link to the “Landing page”. Shortly thereafter he sent the email with the link and when selected it opened to a page that displayed the company name and logo, and indicated the “Site is Under Construction”. A timer counting down the number of remaining days until completion was displayed and he told me that the site is now live. He also told me that since I had previously communicated that I didn’t have a logo yet, they designed one for me (free of charge). So, I paid the $299 for them to host the site.

After completing the transaction & the call I did a Google search for the company name, and nothing came up. I tried calling him back on the number listed on their site, but it only led to music that’s constantly being played. After waiting and listening to music for 30 minutes, I hung up. It’s a joke! The short end of my experience is that after making several requests for a refund, because nothing that I requested was even on the Generic landing page, and the company still couldn’t be pulled up on Google (which was the whole purpose of getting a website), and being assured by their representative that was provided in the package he recommended. I was later told that I would have to pay more money because the SEO option that was needed to link the “live landing page” or company website to Google was not a part of the package that I had previously purchased. I have repeatedly requested a refund and they have refused to give my money back. I have been going back and forth with them for weeks (through emails and texting), and I can honestly say that I was scammed by this company! Needless to say the count down timer ran out & I never got a website! I never got a refund. They refused to give me a refund which violated the terms listed on their website. I requested contact information for their attorney (that they tried to threaten & intimidate me with), but they ignored my request! Do not do business with this company! IT’S A SCAM!

Initially, I wrote a review on this site explaining how misleading it was to work with this company. My expectation was a 5 page website in 5 days for $699 but had to wait 2 months and spent $2000.

Trustpilot does not allow links but my website is agotagency(dot com). By all means visit it and decide for yourself if you think that it is worth the money and the wait.

Compared to the sites they display on their home page mine looks nothing close to that quality and many of the Yelp reviewers seem to agree with me.

After I wrote my initial review about how misleading it is to work with this company it must have gotten my account manager's attention because I was able to get into contact with him after he did not respond to several emails I sent him a few weeks prior requesting to delete FAKE testimonials he put at the bottom of my website and provide me with more detailed information on extra "necessary" charges that he ignored explaining to me on over 7 occasions throughout our 4 months of communicating.

He said that he would refuse to work with me until I took down the initial Trustpilot review.

I figured I would give him a second chance so I did. He at least took down the fake testimonials but when I asked him for more information about my invoices he ignored me for an 8th time and has yet to reply to my email.

For example he charged $350 for a domain registration when I can buy one for $14 (just google domain names).

To Sum Things Up

1. Waited 2 months for a website that was supposed to take 5 business days and then wasn't able to use it due to FAKE testimonials on my page.

2. Was charged $2000 for a website I expected to pay $700 for

3. Poor Website Quality especially compared to the ones displayed on their website. Check out agotagency(dot com)

4. Little explanation/avoidance of any suspicious actions I questioned

I want a full refund for this project. The expectations were not even close to met and the website was unusable due to the poor ethics of the team that created my website.

Side note: Unfortunately I don't think I will get a refund according to several yelp reviewers that were unable to get a refund on their money back guarantees.

Stay Away!!

I've been using website design companies for about 20 years now and have yet to find one that's trustworthy and follows through with what they promise but this one takes the cake. They charged me almost $4,000 to simply copy my current website which I didn't have the word press credentials to due to another shady company. Furthermore, and the only reason I agreed to their services was because I was promised SEO first page placement for 5 different locations in three months. It's 4 months later and I have first page placement for two keywords in two locations which I already had prior to retaining their services. The remaining locations and keywords are ranking anywhere from 15th - 145th position. I complained about it and of course the sales rep that signed me up is no longer with them, they actually tried telling me that he's dying of Covid (young guy). So the new rep tries to then sell me on another $3,000+ SEO package to continue the horrible progress thus far. Furthermore, they lied about their timelines to complete my website, turned out to take three times what was in the contract and don't get me started on the revisions, it's like they didn't even understand simple concepts. My website still doesn't function properly! Stay away from these guys, their SCAM artists. They don't even greet you when you call with their company name, they say "thanks for calling, how may I help you" huge red flag!! Please don't make the same expensive mistake I made.

Creating a business website can be overwhelming and hard, attention to detail is everything! Brian Carlson from Websiteprofs made this experience delightful, fun and incredible! He listened to all our needs and adapted to all our requests without any hesitation! Amazing, simply amazing. The team at Website Profs is quite frankly too good. Recently, I was involved with another website that claimed to be the leading design industry lead for websites. But the work they did for me had me look for another company. That is when I came across Website Profs.
Initially, I was skeptical, given that I was recently scammed. But when I began discussing the project with them I could actually sense that the consultant I was talking to not only understood what I had in mind but was also keen on getting it done for me.
Even after I paid for the service the communication didn't stop, although I was transferred to a different person for account management. There was always update for me. The best thing was that I never got any run-around, and was delivered my completed website together with eCommerce functionalities of my merchants within 15 days of design approval. This I guess was something that boosted my confidence in them hence I am writing this testimonial here. I know it is tough to trust online sellers for our small businesses, but there is still hope with Website Profs and the likes still doing good business.
