Absolutely disgusted by the attitude of…
Absolutely disgusted by the attitude of a man who came out to fix my parents lift, he wasn’t English and had an accent, which is no issue, however his attitude and unprofessionalism IS the issue. I mention his ethnicity, in case anybody else has the unfortunate luck to have him to do maintenance work on your lift, so you too know you’re not alone. This man was so so abrupt, rude and hugely insulting towards my parents, and it’s really knocked my parents down mentally, esp being degraded like that is highly and morally unacceptable. This is grossly unnecessary and unacceptable on EVERY level. However I gave 2 stars still as the other engineers have been great, but you’re only as strong as your weakest link, and this man who came in was definitely a weak link, given his abrasive attitude and the comments he made whilst there ! This is the only reason I’ve took the 3 stars off as he’s really bringing your otherwise good company into question, especially given that he goes into vulnerable people’s houses who are unfortunately, dealing with some of the most distressing times in their life !

Quick efficient service

Timely response in an emergency.
After regular domestic use since its installation in 2017 the Stannah Stairlift Model 420 suffered stuttering performance for 2/3 days followed by a complete halt which prompted a call to Area HQ and a visit by "ANDY" who came the same day. He quickly determined that the electric motor was totally goosed and required replacing. Within 48 hours a re-scheduled "ANDY" arrived with a brand new motor and worked steadily into the evening despite the heatwave conditions in order to complete the required strip down, re-assembly and function test of the stairlift.
Mrs. Anderson who is the customer has severe lower limb diabetic neuropathy and coupled with a recent severe stroke hence very limited mobility and finds the lift invaluable in everyday life and wishes to thank "ANDY" ( sorry we didn't get his surname) for his dedication and hard work in this situation and to Wessex for rising to the emergency.
As Mrs. Anderson's Carer I too wish to register my appreciation for the prompt response of Wessex and its staff to what for me was a nerve wracking care situation.

Stairlift Repair
Engineer (Alan) came late evening and was unable to fix the stairlift and had to order a new part… he came back the next morning after picking a part up and not waiting for one to come in. Went over and above to get this fixed for my elderly mum. Very friendly and did a thorough job.

First one who didn’t say can’t do. Bulbs can source. Found out not hydraulic fluid in the system. All round very good competent knowledgeable engineer that one we’ve had for years.
