It's a scam because you opt out because their material and service is outdated but then after opting out you keep getting charged and it's as if it's a premium service going by the subscription fee which it certainly is not!!

They make it hard to cancel your subscription. In the end I e mailed and have an e mail confirmation that my account was cancelled, yet I was still charged last month with another pending payment. Total scam.

I think it used to be genuine learning app but it has been taken over. Now if you are already signed up and want to stop payments, good luck, I've been actually charged double when trying to quit. Luckily after disputing my case with PayPal I got my money back. STAY CLEAR.

SCAM website that fraudulently charges credit card. We cancelled this subscription via their website through some robot chat. Later we discovered they kept billing us. When trying to contact them we discovered there is literally no way to speak to anyone, no way to file a complaint. Even after cancelling a second time they billed us again. We had to contact our credit card company and file a dispute and it turned into a giant mess. A legitimate company does not operate this way. BEWARE of this fraudulent company.
I am getting monthly charges I did not knowing sign up for. Tried calling number and their customer service is in maintenance? Their website customer service is encountering unusual high activity. The chat is a robot that ask same circular questions with no progress.
Fraud beware , I subscribed for one year last August as my grandson liked it and could use it when he came over, he has just moved far away from us. On August 6th I was debited on my credit card for the next year subscription which was a Saturday and found out on the Monday 8th August when checking my account online. I immediately cancelled my subscription but was told I would not be getting a refund but could use ABC Mouse for another year. Trying to get hold of them after this was a nightmare, they don't respond to emails.
At no time was I alerted that the subscription had run out and would I like to renew which in my experience all other companies do.
I signed up for a free trial of ABC mouse through a cashback website about a month ago but thought I had cancelled it. Then today with no prior warning that my subscription was due I got a notification from Paypal that I had paid $12.99 to Age of Learning. I promptly went on the ABC mouse website and also downloaded the app hoping to find a way to cancel my subscription. Both are very basic and there seems to be no way to cancel the subscription through either route.
Beware of ABC Mouse; they tried to scam me. I signed up for a yearly subscription in 2018. I canceled the subscription in 2020 and have a cancellation confirmation email from ABC Mouse. On July 14, 2022, ABC Mouse tried to charge an expired credit card for the yearly subscription fee of 59.99. My credit card company flagged the fraudulent charge. Additionally, I contacted ABC Mouse regarding the situation at which time they tried to upsell me a different subscription. It’s billing practices are outright fraudulent.

I am writing this review in hopes of sparing every would be subscriber a huge headache.
**If you so much as accept a free trial membership from this site, they will require a payment method to be logged with them. It is nearly impossible to cancel any subscription with them. You will be redirected/ rerouted innumerable times.
I have attempted to cancel a trial offer with them and in order to do so that has to be done through the parent portal. There it gives options, which send you to other landing pages that contain more offers. You never get a confirmation that you have successfully unsubscribed. I hate these companies that rape your banking account by frustrating a consumer with rerouting. This needs to be stopped. I will be following this up with the FCC.
There's so many negative reviews I thought it was only fair I give mine.
When lockdown started last year I was looking for some help with any home learning for my 6 year old daughter.
The site looked pretty interesting and I signed up for the free month. I think it took about £1.50 for the registration fee which I thought was OK. I've had that from other overseas online programmes / software which I've also joined with so I wasn't too worried.
My daughter started to use it and I was really happy. It provided her with some essential educational topics and so after the first month I signed for the year. I paid in full with a really good promotional discount.
My daughter has loved it. For the price I paid I have been more than happy for what It has gave us. Even though now my daughter is back in school a couple of days a week, we still have it here for some extra learning. She has it on the I Pad and on my Desktop. She can easily access it herself on the I Pad and quite often she shows me how well she is doing on it. They seem to keep updating it which is good as she doesn't get bored.
There's lots of different things to do on it which covers all the essentials. I wouldn't say it's good enough to be the only learning platform for any child but as an extra it's been a godsend.
I'm keeping my membership for another year.
It's been really useful and to be honest she learns more on here sometimes than her zoom classes at school which sometimes seem like organised chaos.
It looks like it hasn't been everyone's cup of tea looking at the reviews but for me it's been a lifesaver.
I was refused help unless I confirmed by payment details over instant chat! This is a CBI compliance issue and the concern had NOTHING to do with payment. I pay by the year. I was told that they could cancel my subscription without this verification but could not change the imaginary fish tank unless I compromise my payment information. Litterally makes no sense. I was told that a supervisor would be reaching out to me via email "eventually". BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY there any many other educational aps to choose from and I suggest you do.
My 4 year old loves this app! My only complaint is when he clicks on the globe the only country it allows him to learn is the United States. We live in Canada it would be nice if they had more of the world available than just one country.
Total scam site. Never subscribed or had a trial anything with these crooks. Had to change CC # because of these thieves.
This is a US based product, with no option to choose UK language settings.....
Zee instead of the letter zed, diapers instead of nappies, trucks instead of lorries, sidewalk instead of pavement!
This really is s US product, designed for children in the US, and as such it should not e marketed in the UK, specially as there is no setting for UK/British English.
Avoid.
Firstly, terrible value for money.
Secondly, what’s the point of teaching your kids home learning using this platform and advancing when they go back to school and will learn at the same pitch as everyone else.
Whether your child is Einstein in the making or a child that struggles with the basics, each school lesson plan is set out to pitch for the entire audience, therefore, home learning of this nature has a small limited use.
Another point I may add, there is no greater education than using all your basic senses, for example;
Taking your child to a near woodland to see, touch, and smell .....trees, flowers, wildlife, etc - is much more educational than an over priced online learning platform.
There you can count trees or fairy doors etc ...
Passing down home education on to your child is a basic tool that’s been passed down for generations, this meant total interaction with your child, and learning with full interaction, and priceless exercise.
As opposed to plonking your child in front of a tablet and learning!
Or there is the basic home blocks, shapes, puzzles etc .. used again before these over priced platforms, like ABC mouse came along. I for one, like many others, didn’t struggle and learnt perfectly ok.
So think about the online interaction as a learning advertisement to make money as opposed to the core learning skills passed down by generations before us.
A FULL interaction is a greater tool for leaning as opposed to sitting down looking at a laptop or tablet.
Then to top it off is the child’s attention span!
I saw my wife had purchased this, and quickly ended it for all the reasons stated above.
ABC Mouse gave me a refund and made this right so I am changing from 1 star to 4 stars.
1 star is taken away because this should have never have happened but I now think this is more of an Apple App Store problem than it is an ABC Mouse problem that resulted in me being double billed.
I still give Apple App Store 1 star for the customer experience. Apple App Store erroneously double billed me. Then, they said too bad for me - the customer, because I did not discover their error soon enough.
ABCMouse received twice the amount it should have.
My advice is to make sure you stay on top of Apple App Store because they will allow you to be erroneously charged and they do not feel obligated to resolve this for the customer if they customer does not catch them.

ABC mouse charged me for the ABC Mouse twice last year – both on September 9 2019. I just discovered this after I was billed again this year for 87.09. I had ABCouse for one year and my child did not like or use it. I cancelled well before my subscription ended, or so I thought. I ONLY should have been charged 87.09 ONCE for ONE 1 years subscription. I only have one account. I cancelled the renewal before it was time to renew but apparently, ABC Mouse charged me for installing on both my child’s and my own Apple device although I only have one account and one child. I requested a refund for 87.09 for the extra charge in 2019 and 87.09 for the charge made to my account for a renewal.
They charged my credit card $60 the same day the 30 day free trial started. There was no notification that they were going to do this. When I emailed to dispute it, there was no apology, no justification as to why they would charge you the first day of a 30 day free trial.
Also, they will charge your credit card a $1 fee a month for the subscription.
It's not worth this exorbitant cost. I recommend Reading Eggs over this one any day.
