Advantage Lumber is a great supplier of ipe lumber for our projects at Heos LLC. Isaias Pagan is my sales representee for this company and is always willing to go the extra mile on service and supplying knowledge about all the different products!

Advantage Lumber provided a great product at a good price. Brad Rowell, the salesman I worked with, was patient in answering my questions before I ordered.
Then with the order, worked with my schedule for shipping. There was a problem with a few stair treads
which was rectified quickly and new treads were shipped out, all at no cost.
I would highly recommend purchasing from them.

I had a great experience with this company, they're customer service is unmatched and they have a lot of integrity which is rare with big companies. I highly recommend Advantage Lumber.

The representative does not acknowledge multiple email inquiries or phone calls. Frustrating.

We have been researching materials to use in a deck renovation. Joshua Miranda was most helpful determining what was available in decking materials and dimensional lumber in the species we wanted. He was very helpful to send us a sample to aid in our material selection. We have placed our order awaiting delivery est. mid Oct 2025. We enjoyed working with Josh and would recommend him to anyone looking for sales advice for decking materials. We ended up selecting Cumaru for decking and handrails.

I could not find a local dealer who had any tongue & groove decking. I called before I ordered and got all my questions answered. Craig M followed up on my order by email, answered my concerns promptly and then he followed up with a phone call about delivery. The lumber is on its way. So far, the experience has been exceptional.

We purchased garapa deck tiles from Advantage for a second-floor balcony. When we finally got around to installing them after replacing the membrane on the balcony and redesigning the project we came up a few pieces short. Contacted Advantage, ordered the pieces and received them a few days later. One of the pieces was damaged. Contacted Advantage via email with the pictures of the damaged piece. Got a call the next day informing me that a replacement piece was on the way. Neal Petrusek was our salesman for both the initial purchase and the follow-up purchase. He was professional, patient and informative answering all our questions and very responsive in replacing the damaged piece. It has been an absolute pleasure dealing with Neal and Advantage Lumber. Very pleased with the product and especially the service. Looking forward to the next project.

Advantage Lumber has been great for me. The sales person Josh Miranda helped get the wood I needed on time and exactly what I had hoped for.
Originally I was looking to use IPE wood for my deck but then found out that there was a big shortage (and confirmed by several other lumber companies). Josh recommended Cumaru and it is a beautiful alternative and just about as hard and they seem well stocked with this. It was also priced a much better price than IPE wood. Additionally he included some additional accessories I would need so I didn't have to figure all of that out (like the clips, Oil and wrench). Very happy in all that I have received with Advantage Lumber. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

I am building my deck and ordering wood from AdvanteLumber.com. During the process of ordering, I had to change my order a few times via my wrong measurements. The seller man, Josh Miranda was extremely helpful, and patient helping to change my orders and providing his expertise what is better to buy for my particularly needs. In addition, he was always available by phone. Thanks to him I am about to complete my new deck, and I feel it will look very nice. Thanks to Josh!

Very poor customer service. Phone calls and emails not returned. Part of order damaged. Followed policy as described in written document. Photos supplied. Never heard from assigned agent again, despite attempts to communicate. Flooring installed. Two days later discoloration started to appear on multiple boards. They do not back product after 3 days of receipt.

First time customer and was skeptical of ordering decking online. Brad Rowell was a great resource. Helpful in all aspects of the order and answering follow up questions. The Tigerwood looks great. Would recommend Advantage Lumber.

I agree with the negative reviews. Obtained a shipment of Ipe. Within a month several boards had bowed to the point that they were unusable. They only agreed to cover half of shipping, and would not replace the boards.

Instead they pointed to places on their website I never would have found for special care to be taken with the boards. Not going back

Lousy customer service.

NO WARRANTY. I bought a $20k IPE wood package from Advantage Lumber for all of
17x80 deck. It has been on for three years and treated with their expensive IPE oil every year. The deck started cracking all over with small splitting cracks. I spoke with advantage lumber today and was told their is no warranty on the wood. I had a wood professional look at the deck and he told me the wood was never dried properly. Now I have a $40k deck that looks like crap and no warranty from Advange. Would I buy something more from them again? You figure that one out. Very very disappointed. Too costly to replace again.

Bill Cummings at Advantage Lumber worked with me to select an awesome piece of tigerwood for a project for my granddaughter. Bill coordinated with Chico at the Buffalo Mill and hand picked a beautiful select piece of tigerwood for my needs. Bill and Chico even sent a photo of the piece and I can't wait to start working on it. I could not ask for better customer service and communication, not to mention super fast shipping and bulletproof packaging.

Our order was damaged when we received it. We managed to work with what we had but nothing was refunded or replaced..not even an offer to.
We then ordered specific pieces which took weeks to get and held up construction, only to find out that they sent the wrong ones, then they lost pieces...it was a total debacle. This went on for months until we finally gave up and decided to figure it out ourselves. Nothing again was refunded or even offered. Although I thought we spent a lot, I guess unless you are a commercial business with huge orders, you do not matter to them and I would look elsewhere.

I just wanted to give a big thank you to the Advantage Lumber Sales team and a huge thanks to Edgar for helping us through this process. We've been a customer for years now and whats really helped that I've noticed is there customer service. Being able to work one on one with your vendor that places customer service at the front just makes everything at Advantage Lumber a smooth process and a store that stays true there word.

As mentioned down below, we had issues with the material and Advantage Lumber sent out an employee, Edgar, to look at the deck and survey. I would like to share my thanks to Advantage for sending an expert and Edgar for assessing the area and answering all the questions we had. I appreciate you getting the process going and approved to be able to start the rebuild. Thank you for staying true to your word, we were able to get all needed material so the warp/break does not occur again. We opted in getting the 5/4x6 Cumaru to avoid an future issue that would cause warping or breaking of any sort.
On top of the full length of cumaru needed we will be getting the wood plugs and top varnish.

(Back-Story)
-This past July of 2023 we placed in order for Cumaru Decking of 1,800' LF and were recommended by our sales rep to go for the 1x6 PLUS material. We had doubts on the thickness since we always purchase 5/4x6, we were assured that it wouldn't be an issue. It would later be installed and within a few months of installation the deck lifted and started to warp. We were told if issues arose that it could be sorted out and fixed at a later time. -

Again thank you for making the process of getting an issue resolved from start to finish. Defiantly will be sharing my story to others of why choose Advantage Lumber! Best Customer Service on the west coast.

Returned to them to place an order, and as always received great service from Isaias Pagan, that resulted in the delivery of both Tigerwood and Ipe. I had previously ordered a large order of Ipe for my previous home. This is my go-to source for service and quality!

We visited the mill for a tour of the plant and to look at the different materials for a design project we are working on. We had made an appointment in advance with Bill. He could not have been more congenial or helpful. He was so knowledgeable of the products and helpful with installation ideas. Followed up with us the next day with a quote and additional ideas and support. Great experience. We have our project of "go" thanks for all his advisement.
