I can’t thank Michael and Alan at Angel Motorcycles enough for today! From the second I walked through the door, they made me feel welcome and put me at ease instantly.

Both instructors are absolute stars—knowledgeable, professional, hilarious, and patient beyond belief. Alan made the classroom parts engaging and fun! When I struggled with the clutch on site and got a bit overwhelmed, they adapted brilliantly to keep me going and calm my nerves. Michael then made me feel 100% safe and comfortable out on the open road.

I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I've already been out practicing on my own bike, and once I get more solo miles under my belt, I’ll definitely be returning to Angel Motorcycles to do my full license.

Absolutely amazing place to learn to ride a bike. 100% best in the north east. Friendly trainers with great tips in riding and awareness of the roads when teaching you. Really accommodating booking around you and your busy life. Anyone in wanting to learn to ride, dont hesitate and give them a call. Really good experience with Angel Motorcycle Training. The instructors were canny, patient and easy to get on with, and they explained everything in a way that just made sense.

I never felt rushed or under any pressure, and they gave me plenty of confidence as I went along. By the end I felt ready to get out on the road.

Would definitely recommend them if you're thinking about learning to ride. Cheers to the whole team (Keith, John, Lisa and Bev to name a few) for all their help, much appreciated.

Can’t recommend highly enough, I started out with zero confidence and even less ability, but thanks to Micheal (who has the patience of a saint) he worked at my pace, never pushing but keeping me right, Really enjoyed the lessons and learnt something new every time. Everyone else there is really friendly and helpful which calms the nerves and makes it a really encouraging and warm environment to learn in.

A massive thank you to the team at Angel Motorcycle Training for providing such excellent instruction and for helping me pass my mod 2 first time! I am particularly grateful to Lisa for her expertise in helping me master my Mod 1, and to John and Keith for their invaluable guidance throughout my Mod 2 training, however the rest of the instructors that I met in passing were all really friendly too.

Lisa, John & Kieth were professional, incredibly knowledgeable, and made the entire process a positive experience. I also want to give a shoutout to all the fellow students I met along the way; it was a pleasure learning alongside such a supportive group. I highly recommend Angel Motorcycle Training to anyone looking to start their riding journey.

The class sizes were really small here too, and very easy to book (thanks Bev!) - easily the best motorcycle school in the area.

Wow what a fantastic training school, can't thank them enough! they're committed to helping students and will go above and beyond to help you achieve your goal! They're friendly, approachable and very professional. I did not take to it like a duck to water so will be forever grateful for their dedication and patience. John is an excellent instructor. Passed first time, both mods, despite the nerves. A great experience.

The instructors have a wealth of knowledge and experience which means you get first class training tailored for your level of ability. Did my CBT, MOD1 and MOD2 all in the space 10 weeks. Don't mess around with other companies, choose Angel. You won't be disappointed. David

I had never heard of these guys before, and I had been riding on an A2 license for around 5 years after learning with another school which had since closed.

I’m beyond glad I chose Angel over some of the competitors due to the excellent, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable and supportive staff. Particular thanks to John, Keith and Lisa for helping get rid of my bad habits that I’ve picked up over the last few years, and getting me through my tests faster than some other schools were saying they could take me out for an “assessment” ride!

I started with angel wanting to do my mod1 and mod 2 I have done most of my lessons through Lisa and she has been brilliant with me I have passed my mod1 and now have my mod2 booked in. I couldn’t fault angel as a business they have kept me upto date with everything and how I am getting on and went above and beyond. Lisa has been a brilliant instructor and had the patience of a saint with me as I have made mistakes naturally but she has went back over them with me as many times as I needed and always been a brilliant help, the first day I attended I had excellent instruction on how to find the yard and directions from either entrance of the team valley. If I could score them more than a 5 star I really would. Excellent training school

I did a lot of research prior to renewing my CBT, after meeting Keith, I was confident that I had made the right decision. I spent the morning refreshing my knowledge with John and the afternoon out with John. I felt more knowledgeable and confident than I had before.
So confident I started my MOD 1 and MOD 2 training with Lisa, John and Keith.
Throughout my time training I felt fully supported by the team , including Bev, and witnessed full support to every other student I was partnered with.

I had a bad experience with a previous school and was recommended to try Angel by a guy I bought a bike off. I was very apprehensive but thought I would give it a go. They were very understanding patient and helpful which lead to me passing my CBT. I then booked lessons and within no time I passed my mod1 and mod2 first time. As an older lady it was a big step but they are so welcoming and make you feel like you belong and are so encouraging. I couldn’t recommend them enough.

The guys at Angel are fantastic! I started as a non rider, to passing both tests within 2 months at the first attempt. I’ve recommended them to anyone I know who wants to ride. They are excellent instructors, patient, knowledgeable, and they give you the confidence to ride, pull you up on any mistakes, to help you correct them. If you wanna ride, Angel are exceptional.

I passed my Mod 1 and 2 tests with Angel back in May this year. From the off the vibe was encouraging and empowering - the instructors want you to succeed but they also impress upon you the importance of road awareness, lifesaver checks and proper control of the bike - everything you need to be a good rider. As a forty something who had never ridden a bike before my CBT they really helped me get to grips with everything providing support (and bad jokes) to make every lesson fulfilling and progressive. I couldn’t recommend them enough for absolute beginners through to those with previous bike experience. If they can get me through they can get you through too!

I have been through this twice now, first time was a bit akward and put me off, second time it was a different story. Lisa was fantastic, put me to ease and made me feel very comfortable. On the second part of my training keith was also brilliant, again, put me at ease and gave me the confidence that I needed to gain my A1 licence. Big john, keith and lisa you done me very well and I thank you for that, got me to where I'd always wished to be. This was always a dream since I was a child and you have got me there, I appreciate this so much and what a fanrltastic team you have at angle.

First class experience from start to finish. From my CBT through to my passing my Full license all within four months. First class experience from exceptional instructors.

This motorcycle training school was very highly recommended to me by someone who has been riding over fifty years. I explained I was the kind of person that needed an instructor who could be firm with me .the friend who gave the recommendation said they would tailor my tuition once they had assessed my requirements, which they did perfectly. To say the instructors are highly skilled and proficient is an understatement. On a two student lesson both with different needs I always felt the lesson was geared perfectly to both students, me if the tuition needed to be a little sterner and possibly another student who may have needed to be treated with a softer approach every lesson worked ideally for me and talking to the other student they would always say the same. Lessons with Lisa a female instructor always gave me the feeling of having achieved the most. She is top notch, Kieth and John are also fantastic and all 3 you could have a bit of a laugh with as you were riding on your lesson. I can not recommend this school and its instructors highly enough or thank them enough. If my kids want to learn to ride i wouldn't allow them to go anywhere else!!

Where to start? So much good, and worthy of a deep deep thank you to each member of Angel.

I did my CBT elsewhere, and it was just because of circumstance that I ended up continuing with Angel. And I have not one regret. I feel fortunate to have met each one of these people.

The place is like a club house. A really cool vibe with smiling, happy instructors saying hello and bouncing around. Something has to be right for that level of job contentment. Retro posters all over the walls, recycled wood, many bikes. Just a really nice vibe.

Booking and communication was via co-owner Bev. And she was superb throughout. Accomodating with bookings, encouraging with doubts. Brilliant. Thank you so much, Bev.

So, MOD 1. I got Lisa for the vast majority of my training. Lisa is awesome. You may read that Lisa is tough but fair etc etc. But it completely does her a disservice. She has a very noticeable skill that many don't pick up on. She can read the room with individuals and alter her style to suit whoever she's teaching. That's a very underappreciated skill. We had a bit of cheek back and forth...but her banter was never personal or damaging. She forms a core memory for me. And I'll never forget her.

I passed my MOD 1 at first go. Thanks, Lisa.

MOD 2. Well, this was really fun, and I got a mixture of Keith (boss man), Lisa, and John. Each lesson was a meaningful step to being ready for my final test. And I was finally ready, they wouldn't let you take a test if they didn't believe you would pass.

But I failed because I made 1 big error. I failed again, and again. Each time because of 1 silly mistake. All on me. Mistakes they couldn't train for (other idiot motorists and my incorrect reaction to them).

I mention this because whenever I said I'd go elsewhere instead of embarrassing them...they firmly told me "no", "we're sticking with you".

Like family. It meant everything to me.

Not once did they try to squeeze more lessons out of me. Seriously...not once. Just rebook my test...and encourage me. They knew I was more than ready. My fails were me having YOLO moments etc. Keith is a superb instructor with a very calm demeanour. John couldn't be described as calm (chatterbox)...but really funny, honest, and full of key tips that stick! Tips. That. Stick.

John was also the unfortunate one that was with me when I passed. So HE got the big hug! LOL! Sorry, John.

And finally to the two lads who didn't train me. Alan was always chatty to me and even let me sit on his lovely Ducati. Treated me like he'd known me forever, on the few times we met. That's how I roll. So thank you, Alan.

Last but not least...Michael. Michael always remembered my name, despite not training me...and always encouraged me. I could chat bikes with him all day. Thank you, Michael.

If I've missed anyone out...I apologise. But, while I never met you...you'll be undoubtedly like the others.

All in all, I went from NOOB to now having a full bike licence. And now that I don't need to go there...I will miss them all.

But, my youngest daughter is now saying she loves bikes...and with the amount of female riders passing via Angel...there's only one place she'll be getting trained. So I will be back. But that's a few years off ;)
