I spent over 40 minutes on the phone with a sales rep to get a quote on insuring my automobile and my house. The quote for my vehicle was reasonable but when it came to quoting on my house, I was told they would not insure it because it has cedar siding. Of course without the house included in the package, the premium for just my vehicle was ridiculous. All in all, I spent way too much time for absolutely nothing. Moral of the story is, before you waste your time, if you call them for a quote on your home and auto, ask them to quote on the house first. If they won't cover your house, the premium on your auto will be very expensive by comparison.

Receive my new policy. I found a better rate ($1000 less from another company). They took my payment for April so I paid for a full month. They will not refund the over payment and will charge me a cancellation fee. DO NOT patronage these lying thieving shysters!!!!! They DO NOT deserve 1 star they deserve -10.

Be careful where you have bundled your home and auto insurance. They may save you in one area but gouge you in another. Also they cant provideyou with actual savings from your auto merit program, they say its psoitive but cant give you the appropiate discounts.

I was with Anthony insurance before belairdirect purchased it. They’re gonna keep all your money, after all these years no accidents no nothing. I’d suggest to pick the shittiest coverage like 5 dollar cover only just to get your vehicle on the road.

This insurance company is a scam. They only want your money. They’ll keep suggesting you more covers you should pay but I suggest you shouldn’t. DON’T USE THIS SHITTY insurance company.

Up your rate if you have been with them long enough. Compare other insurance polices of other insurers. They will not drop their price. Poor customer service. Won't refund your money, pretty much stole my monthly insurance plus charged me a cancellation fee. Shitty customer experience. Do not recommend. Square One insurance if you're looking for something8 affordable.

The house and truck were great, but now that I'm inheriting 100acre property, the service is impossible to deal with and they are horrible. They won't insure my camp that we use for about 1 week of the year, just need simple liability insurance...nope. Have to find a different company but I don't want 2 separate insurance companies, I quit!!!

Sloppy Bureaucracy - Cancelled my policy for stated Renewal date, later recived 2 letters in the mail. One stating my policy has been renewed and another stating cancellation. - They are competative until your 2ed renewal. Avoid this company unless you are a new driver (proceed with caution in that case), there is much better compatition out there.

We did the online quote for 2 vehicles which came back at 153.75 monthly. We then phoned belairdirect for signing up. He asked all the same info again and the quote came back at almost double. What a complete waste of my time. Their bullshit online quoting system is totally incorrect

So unimpressed with Belair Direct. I was with them for over 10 years, no accidents, no tickets. Every year I'd have to fight to not have the rate go up 10-15 bucks or so for no reason. Then after a long time, I got a new car. (4 years old) and the monthly premium DOUBLED. When I called in to try to get it lower they then said the app was wrong and it was actually 30 dollars even MORE.. I couldn't believe it. Unfathomable. Long story short, I found a wayyy better premium elsewhere and in 3 phone calls with Belair not one associate even attempted to lower the rate or have me speak to someone who could actually help, they could not care less. They get you at first with a decent price at first then at renewals they jump the premium up for no reason.

I wanted an online quote as I received correspondence in the mail about insurance quotes. I answered all the questions asked of me on line but would not give requested personal banking information or credit card information. I had a conversation with their chat bot and an agent called me.
They were quite indignant and the conversation was heated regarding their request for personal banking Information. I ended the call. I have never had a claim in 50 plus years, I am a senior and wanted an online quote as indicated in their mailed brochure.
Belair lost a prospective responsible client and the customer service is beyond belief. I’ll be looking elsewhere for my insurance needs.

Garbage company. Even the people who answers the phone can't get to the agent in their own company. Stay away!!!

Unfortunately we inherited Belair as our insurer when Johnsons were bought by them and it went downhill from there. Our insurance for both car and home increased each time over the last 3 years despite no claims and with them offering only to reduce our coverage or increase deductible to keep the cost down. I finally found the time to shop around and called them twice the month before to let them know I would not be renewing. Despite telling them this twice, I was apparently required to call them back and cancel before the renewal date as they weren't able to do it a number of weeks before so we've ended up having to stay put because the policy renewed and they have ridiculous cancellation fees too. Well once the year is up, we will never be using them again. Not a good way to keep clients. Their customer service advisor was also super rude, working at home by the sounds of the noise in the background.

I requested a home insurance quote from Belairdirect and asked for few adjustments so i could review the coverage properly. At first there was pressure to speak on the phone and move forward quickly, but once i asked for details by email so i could review everything carefully the commination basically stopped

This very concerning if it talked this long just to receive information about a policy it raises serios doubts about how responsive the company would be if a client needed help with a claim. because of this experience i decided to proceed with another insurance

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I used to be with Johnson & Johnson Unifund. I paid around $150/month because they had a nursing discount. With Belair I pay over $260/month and I get basically no service. Someone just hit me from behind and they’re at fault, however, Belair is treating me like I’m the criminal. Worst insurance company ever.

The customer service is atrocious. They took over two MONTHS to close my claim that should have been an easy decision from the beginning. During this time, nothing was actioned in the process until I followed up repeatedly flagging the claim. Also during this time I’m still paying for a vehicle that was deemed a write off. This is money I won’t get back in any way. The claim agent and the management didn’t seem to care or acknowledge any sort of responsibility. If thats not bad enough, the file was also not flagged as involving medical until repeated inquiries. Finally someone contacted us regarding medical. A phone call appointment was set up which the adjuster never followed through with and still (over a month later) hasn’t contacted us regarding the medical claim. The customer service is severely lacking and they offer no sort of attempt at compensation for their incompetence aside from “I’m sorry I’ll follow up”. The words have been many times and result in no action. My husband is left with injuries and we’re out $1800 and Belair couldn’t care less.

From the moment I reported my serious car accident to Belair Direct I was treated with kind, caring and extremely efficient attention. Never having made a claim for a car accident, and in a state of confusion, I had no idea what to do. Each person I dealt with guided me through the procedure. Before I left the accident scene I was told a rental car had been arranged for me and when I went to pick it up it was ready for me. My car was totaled. The settlement that Belair Direct offered was very fair. I cannot express my gratitude enough to Belair Direct and their employees for their kindness to me during a very stressful time.

Very dishonest. I spent almost an hour on the phone going over what would be included in my coverage. I received a quote by email that was valid for 30 days. By the time I called back the next day the quote was $500 for the exact same policy. Not to mention customer service was not helpful and would not allow me to speak to a manager to get more clarification that customer service agents weren't able to provide. I highly suggest to stay away!

this company sucks! they are just money hungry and dont consider the customer situation, eventhough I am a long time customer, dont go this company, you will regret.

Don't get an online quote. They collect your information and than call around telling everybody your personal details. I found out that my full name, full address, date of birth and email address was given over the phone to unidentified person. I am fighting now for a year for them to delete my information from their database, with no result. I don't even have a policy with them
