I remained as tenant under Direct Residental for couple of years and found this company very professional who helped me in sorting out issues in no time. They were available around the clock to listen me and solve the problems. The whole staff is so professional and polite that I miss Direct Residential now as my current company not the same. I am thankful to the whole staff especially Nick, Gabriel,Linda and Gillani but i am sorry to say that landlady who owns 10 Manor house court was not so cooperative. I highly recommend Direct Residential if someone is looking for renting in the town.

We chose Direct Residential as it had good reviews and from past experience, as landlords we feel independent agents are the best. We are so pleased we went with them. Meeting Ian, his professionalism reinforced our decision. As we don't live locally they have managed EVERYTHING arranging repairs, decorating, carpets, even personally running around to change light bulbs at the last minute! The usual marketing, tenancy admin was very efficient and due to their stringent checks on tenants we have found the perfect ones. We had been searching for a property to rent for months, and every local agent we’d dealt previously had been uninterested and unhelpful. The team at Direct Residential, however, are different. Direct Residential Intimidation Tactics
Direct Residential helped negotiate a cheating landlord a total of £1470 from my rental deposit because of an incompetent staff member and a dishonest landlord they hounded me daily with harassing emails until eventually I couldn’t take the intimidation any longer and just wanted them all to stop with their lies, we negotiated some alterations verbally between a Direct Residential employee and the landlord only for them to take over £1400 because it was only a verbal agreement, Direct Residential will not support the tenants but will jump as high as the landlords tell them to secure their business at any cost to the tenants, they done inspections every 3 months and nothing was mentioned about the alteration until it was time to review our deposit, the property was also in a sub standard condition when we moved in, what they actually did is illegally went against government legislation and enforced me to carry out a full year, the law clearly states that under the circumstances I found myself in they have to release me from the tenancy without any penalties, as an estate agent they are totally ignorant of government legislation, the owner Ian Plumb has to be one of the most ignorant, narcissistic control freak I think I have ever come across in business before, his replies are so full of misinterpretations and false accusations it just shows him for the fraud he and his company really are, keep spinning yuur rubbish Ian, what I am doing is telling people of my experience with yiur company so they do not have to go through the hell you put me through with your poorly run company

Due to your personal circumstances and Police involvement, the landlord and we released you from your set term contract as a gesture of goodwill and waived all costs.
During your tenancy, you destroyed the landlord’s daughter’s handmade built-in bed without consent, (contractual clause), by crudely sawing it in half. We had previously emailed you for the avoidance of doubt, to advise it is a permanent fixture following your verbal request and our decline. In addition whilst you had consent to replace the landlord’s boiler in the kitchen, as you offered as a gas engineer personally trading as A3 Gas Ltd (landlord only agreed as this is your trading name and suitably qualified), you then resited the boiler to the loft area from the kitchen, with a second hand boiler, run a new gas supply up the outside of the house, altered the electrics personally (not qualified), left holes in floorboards, and ran three pipe runs across an access route into the loft (and electrics), where the loft ladder rests thereby crushing the pipes and causing a leak and trip hazard. Following moving the location of the boiler, there are now unsightly pipes exposed from the wall in the kitchen, capped off, and badly painted area.
We have a responsibility to approach the Gas Safe Register to advise that household electrics have been altered by an unqualified representative.
You changed the carpet in the bedroom once you removed the built-in bed, with a different colour to all other carpets and not fitted to meet the edge of the walls – again without the landlord’s knowledge or consent.
You stuck a line of LED lights around one bedroom’s wall and ceiling, thereby when you removed them on leaving, the adhesive damaged the wall. Again, without landlord consent.
You cracked glass in the kitchen units, without reporting for remedial action.
You did not maintain the garden.
You did not clean the property properly on leaving.
We and your landlord received numerous complaints from neighbours due to unsociable behaviour and actions during your tenancy.
The total cost to repair the damage you caused to the property was well over £2,000, but the landlord kindly attended to some of the aspects for free, spending days at the property distraught at the condition of her family home. We contributed £300, waived fees, and the landlord contributed £200 and incurred additional costs on your behalf, to help you as a gesture of goodwill.
The dilapidations you agreed to of £1470 paid for a professional clean, a qualified electrician to urgently attend to the electrics, a plumber to reroute the pipework to the correct and safe route, rebuilding of the removed bed, remedial action to the floorboards, repairs to the broken glas, decorating damage and nine light bulbs out.
Your deposit was registered with MyDeposits – a government backed scheme to protect tenants and ensure fair play. We offered you to take the case to the arbitrator for free, provided the link and certificate to start easily, but you declined.
Therefore we and the landlord tried very hard through financial loss, free work, releasing obligations, lost rent, and a free route to challenge the process for you, but you are accusing the landlord and us of bad practice.
It is always disappointing to receive a poor review and not delight our customers, but we wish you all the best in your new home.

Unprofessional, Pushy and Fake
I have not got enough time to list all the failings of this estate agent, I do have one word for them tho. Dodgy.
Please avoid! Let me put their reply into context, I was legally entitled to end the contract early according to government legislation on the advice of Surrey Police, the director of the estate agent has since emailed me late at night with threatening words, suggesting that I have until August 1st to remove my review, isn’t this the whole point of Trustpilot, so we can share our experiences. It was exactly the response I was expecting from this outfit, in total denial.

We have rented our home with Direct Residential for 2months now. The process of finding tenants and organising all the inital requirments was fast and efficient. We had a couple of teething issues with the house but the maintenance team has been quick to resolve. So far we are happy with the service and the team is always friendly and responsive.
