Recent remortgage …
Recently remortgage and used Enact for the conveyancing. The process was straightforward. Particularly liked the fact that everything was online, very easy to follow and keep track of the process. Would definitely recommend and will use again in the future if needed.

Diabolical service on my recent two…
Diabolical service on my recent two remortgage applications. Duplicated request for information, very very slow responses and zero empathy and assistance. I made a written complaint was told by the internal inquiry, they could find no fault . My advice would be to avoid using Enact at any cost

Never Use Them - Avoid at all costs
Our Bank has appointed Enact as the solicitor firm to organise our re-mortgage. We are currently with Barclays moving from a fixed rate to a offset mortgage which involves almost getting a new mortgage with the same bank.
We started the process at the start of June with a clear intention of finishing it for 1/9/26 when our fixed rate ended.
Enact was appointed towards the end of June and from 29/6/26 when we received the first questionnaire, we have been answering their questions and following up any actions promptly. We went away on holiday in August and asked to be sent any documents they may need to us in advance so that we could provide them everything to avoid delays. Nothing was requested - all was in order. Then mid of August they send the deed which we managed to intercept and send from abroad. 25th August they realise they need joint bank details for any excess funds (it is a product change and will not have excess funds) - mandatory form which we were unable to fill till the 30/8/26 and without this form they cannot not complete the mortgage. They could have held on to the excess funds awaiting the form and still completed on the mortgage.
We have been calling them from 1/9/26 and have escalated, asked to file a formal complaint but no resolution yet.
So in short - avoid and do not use - they give different excuse every time and seem unable to do simple re-mortgage, respond to emails or call backs esp Donna who is our Case Worker and Christine who is the Team Leader - no call backs even though requested multiple times.
All staff are ineffective and unable to conclude matters even in 2 plus months when all information is provided.
I would rather move my mortgage to another provider than work with Enact again.
3/9/26 -Abbie - this seems to be your normal response to all complaints but I can confirm my issue has still not been resolved.

Enact remortgage service
My overall experience was good, however the lack of attention to my case from my initial application in March until the final week in August before completion on 1 Sept was a little stressful because I was very concerned that I would not have enough time to provide the required documentation to complete my remortgage - which was only identified to be an issue by Enact less than 1 week before completion! So, better planning of more frequent reviews of each case would avoid unnecessary stress to an already stressful situation!
