Absolutely appalling company that continually produced inaccurate redemption statements on a mortgage switch before the existing mortgage deal had even ended and refused to accept responsibility and made me have to clean up the mess. Do not use, you have been warned.

Woefully incompetent.
A chimpanzee banging its head against a keyboard would do a better job.
Managed to try to re-mortgage the wrong house and kept on going despite being told repeatedly YOU HAVE THE WRONG HOUSE.
Gave up, tried again (had to use then because that’s who First Direct uses). Got a message from First Direct saying it’s all in hand. Waited a week, nothing. Phoned up and turns out FD has told them 2 weeks ago and they hasn’t even logged the re-mortgage.
Oh and their portal will provide a confirmation letter in it. The buttons say ‘sign and return’. Is there a place to sign in the letter? No. The button instructions should be ignored apparently, it’s needed for a later document. This is a legal process, why can’t they get the instructions right?
Avoid if you can for the sake of your sanity. Grossly incompetent.

Did my remortgage with Enact. As smooth experience as can be. I liked their online case tracker, super easy to follow the progress, and good to have all the documents in one place. Good communication, never had to wait too long for an answer to a question. Definitely would recommend.

Having used Enact multiple times, I can confidently say their service is consistently fantastic. Their quotes are reasonable, and the conveyancers are an absolute pleasure to deal with. On my most recent transaction, the team went above and beyond: while my lead conveyancer was on leave, their substitute stepped in seamlessly and ensured everything was ready to exchange and complete with less than a week’s notice. Outstanding service—I couldn’t recommend them more!

My experience with Enact conveyancing
I was assigned Enact by Barclays for conveyancing of my remortgage. Enact were really supportive and helped me get through and complete the process very efficiently, preventing me from losing out on an extra month on extortionate variable rate with my previous mortgage provider.
