Good to have somewhere I can find nearly all my wholefood and cleaning products in one place, at reasonable prices, with good fast delivery.

Happy customer. Great range of items, not always in stock, but when they are they are at a good price, I would say, compared to the high street. I have recently shopped with offers which make items all that better value. Easy to order, quick delivery, packed well and eco-friendly, of course!

My Mum bought me an item for my birthday. A week later it hadn't been delivered. I didn't get it for my birthday. They blamed the supplier who they've now contacted - the supplier said they left it with a neighbour over 2 weeks ago. I know nothing about this delivery!!! I didn't say it was ok to leave or receive a delivery notification or anything. REFUND ME.

All the tins are dented.

I have had badly dented tins and cartons on two separate orders now. On the first, they gave me a very small token voucher, and I agreed to keep the parcel. On the second, 14 out of 14 cans had some sort of dent, many very deep. I will not be ordering again.

I've only had good experiences with this company. Ethical products and good delivery times.

I bought the wine glasses as a present.

The edible goods arrived in good time and carefully packaged .
The dates are superb ! Never tasted anything like it . So caramelly and chewy.
The almonds were of high quality and delicious as promised.
I have yet to use the Za'tar herb mixture but the aroma from the jar is amazing . What treats !!

Easy to order and very prompt to acknowledge and sometimes even on the same day let you know it's ready to go to the delivery company. So often received my order with a couple of days. Would definitely recommend.

The special offer for Fairtrade Fortnight. Following Traidraft going into administration we have taken advantage of this to order some goods for our Fairtrade stall at church.

Right now, this is a very inefficient operation.

I opted for a delivery to a Post Office, for collection. But I couldn't track the order as, although I should have been given a tracking number, that didn't happen.

I paid extra for next day delivery, which the website promised as delivery before noon. When that didn't happen, I phoned customer service, who said, no, not before noon, but some time during the working day.

But that didn't happen. I had no notification, so phoned again, mid-morning the next day. After a couple of 'holds'. I was told the package had been delivered at 1310 the previous day. I asked if I should have been informed, either by email or text message, and the answer was 'yes, both'. Customer services didn't know why this hadn't happened. But I was told I could go and pick up the package.

I said that, according to their website, I needed to be sent a 'collection pass' code, but this hadn't happened. After a pause, customer services agreed, and said they would get the courier to provide one to me.

At this point, I asked if I could cancel the order. I could. And I did. With luck, I should get a refund in due course.

Should I have been more patient? I mentioned my experience to my daughter, who said that the company had effectively 'gone under', but had been bought out, and that they were struggling to get things working again. My daughter's words take a 1 star experience up to 3 stars, as - as somebody once said - things can only get better.

I do wish them the best of luck. But just at the moment, customers may have to be prepared to be a little more patient than I was with the muddle and the unforced errors. Looking back, my experience could be the result of staff doing their very best, but being undermined by some hopelessly inefficient software. But one way or another, things are not running smoothly.

And an addendum. Here we are now in March '23. I've just received an email titled: "Order Dispatched". It tells me what I've ordered and where it is being sent.

And it also tells me that a refund is being issued - but not the £7.95 for the 24 hour delivery.

And then it goes on to say: "As soon as we receive notice of your cancellation of this order, we will refund the relevant part of the purchase price for that item." - whatever that means, exactly. Did they write 'item' when they meant 'order' - and possibly vice versa?

It would be hard to invent a series of errors like this. It's very sad. They used to be an efficient outfit once, I am told.

A total lack of care about customers. After 8 days waiting for my order to be delivered , and two phonecalls totalling more than half an hour , they still wont send out a replacement or give me a refund . They think its ok just to keep me waiting even longer and are totally inflexible regardless of how much inconvenience this causes . I wont be shopping with them again and cant recommend them atall.

They use drop-shipping so if you need to return or exchange anything it's a 3-way process with poor communication. Took a week to arrange a return and now 3 weeks after my order they still have my money.

...for the recently shut down competition. Lots of selection, free delivery! they lose two stars for not being completely vegan. are they ethical or not? #dairyisscary

We have used ES for multiple orders for Christmas as well as fashion and find if convenient and easy to use. Delivery is prompt and items were well protected my 4-5th order and will be using again.

For some reason not used this company for awhile (don’t seem to get usual email offers which can be a nuisance but good to remind one of offers). Ordered a load of tinned and bottled goods in Essential organic range which are excellent and not that easy to get locally. Arrived beautifully wrapped and postage cost reasonable given weight of a large box. Thanks.

I needed help with a missing order and was simply told there was nothing they could do. Customer service?? ES were happy to take my money for five years but not so happy to help. Seriously disappointing.

I highly recommend ethical superstore. Not only are they very reasonably priced, their products are good and their customer service is fantastic.
