DO NOT USE Called to have front door lock changed - friendly Jim advised John his Dad was nearby and could help. That was when it went wrong.
John arrived parking far enough my camera couldn’t get his Reg - was with us for about 7-10 minutes and swapped the barrel of the lock for a new one. I figured with a call out fee … £100 -
The price £250.44! Stupidly I paid it - and was promised an invoice. Following day still no invoice so I called them and spoke to Jim again and vented by displeasure at the cost. He advised the breakdown was £49 call out - £80 labour and £80 for a lock barrel - the rest on tax.
Still not received this invoice. On speaking to reputable lock company they advised it should have cost even in an emergency which it wasn’t no more than £105.
I have checked companies house and they went out of business in 2019. I have reported to Trading standards. The other reviews are similar to this. Please save yourselves the hassle I have had and do not use these charlatans. Disgraceful scumbags

Just had my wife on the phone in tears. Got quoted £415 then £315 to change/fix the lock on our front door which is working but has an intermittent fault, and when she declined the quote, the locksmith didn't leave until she had paid a £60 call out fee. A woman in the house on her own should not be subjected to that kind of treatment. Also, clearly not a local business.

Although they turned up on time, the guy immediately started to find fault with the construction of the door and locks, which always a bit worrying when they start to talk too much. Somehow or other the door had dropped while he was he was working on it and not closing properly, not a problem we've had before. New lock eventually fitted but cost did spiral a bit.
But hey ho, repair was urgent, teach me to read reviews in future.
Anyone know their address, not on their website. Their man said Church road Addlestone, but not sure where, he seems to maybe be a contractor for them. Fingers crossed !!!!
Just checked on companies house register, looks as if they were dissolved in 2019 very worrying????
Just looked receipt he gave to partner, bit Mickey mouse no heading with address and tel. Number. etc!!!!
Having stated all this repair at moment seems OK lock working 🙂 fingers crossed.

Was not advised about £59 call out charge, then they fitted the wrong lock and charged a further £120 for 10 minutes work.

Scammers. Charged our babysitter #1440 for a completely bogus repair. Taken this to banking fraud departments and trading standards. DO NOT USE!

Since there is no options for no stars I had to choose 1, but they are thieves. They are not locksmith indeed.
I was locked out of my house and had to call them urgently didn’t see al these reviews and was charged £169 for a matter of 5 minutes by the clock. No parts changed or repaired just a lock opened by trick that also by pulling down on the internal latch by a bend handle. Similar story given travel charges and labour charges. I was flabbergasted and just didn’t have any words to argue. Can this company be charged of fraud??

Absolute rip off. Locksmith here for exactly 20 mins and charged me £90 Labour. Then added £49 call-out charge for which I was not told about. Then £85 for a cylinder that retails at £40.
£268 for 20 mins work and 40 costs. Do not use this company.
I have called and emailed them to complain and been completely fobbed off or ignored.

This company will rip you off, they tell you that it is a £49 call out fee and then the price of the lock. I was charged £380 to change a lock due to a tenancy change over. The labour rate was charged at £150 plus the call out which worked out at an hourly rate of £133 per hour (nice if you can get the work). The locksmith took an hour and half to do the lock, after lots of cursing and frustration on his part as he couldn't do the work. AT NO POINT DID I GET TOLD THE PRICE OR OFFERED A CHOICE. Go and buy a new door it will be cheaper!!

Man came out within hour at about 4pm
My lock was getting stuck, so I left him to get on. As he was a local company about 2 miles away I trusted him. Stupid me. They do not deserve to be trusted. So Call out £60 (2miles) the barrel £60 Labour £90
Total £214 +VAT no VATno on the bill total £256. IVE BEEN SCAMED.
Can you charge VAT without a no on bill.??

Annoyed with fake or exaggerated reviews. It's really easy to leave one with no problem at all.

To be honest the person who actually came out to complete the work was very good and my mum was very happy. It was the office staff that called her afterwards who were horrible ! It had been agreed by the person who attended that I would send him the money by bank transfer and I had all the details etc. But after he had left someone from the office called my mum and demanded payment then and there even though they knew that at the exact time my dad was being taken into hospital and the ambulance people were there trying to get everything organised. She was told in no uncertain tone that until she provided a way of payment they would not leave her alone !!

I requested a call out to replace my letter box lock as I had lost my key. The only positive about the experience was that there was a swift response but that is all. Firstly, the locksmith thought he was here to replace my front door lock, not my letter box lock. He then broke my neighbours letter box lock as he mistook it for mine despite it having a completely different number on it. After all of that I was charged an extortionate amount of £220. £100 of that was labour. I challenged the price and was presented with an unprofessional, questionable invoice but couldn’t not pay as the job was already completed. I feel this is a complete scam and I would 100% stay clear.

I called grd out to saw off a rusty padlock. When he arrived the wd40 I had sprayed on it a couple of days before had done its job and it opened first time with the key. Refused to reduce the cost for the full job of £129 plus vat & then had the cheek to say no change so I had to give him £160. Charged full for job despite the fact he was there 5 minutes and didn’t have to do anything. I expected a call out fee but this was daylight robbery.

If there was a zero on here it wouldn't be low enough.
Charged £386 for our front door lock to be drilled out and a new barrel fitted (lock on Amazon costs £22).
An initial cost of a £50 call out fee was all that was quoted. Have tried contacting the company for a breakdown of costs and no reply received. An absolute disgrace with no customer care or guarantee offered.
Had we not been delirious with literally just moving into this property we would of challenged the price there and then. Avoid at all cost.

Called to get a lock replaced and price was reasonable when quoted but was charged over £200 for a lock which costs no more than £30, with £120 labour and £70 call out. Would recommend looking at other locksmiths

So I booked with these to replace the lock after guy had been evicted, we had keys so didn’t need to break in. I asked rough cost on phone and the said from £75 to which I booked.
Yesterday they turnt up and changed the lock and I paid the bill because it was mayhem at the time. When I.ooked at the bill they charged me £288.98 £59 being a booking fee that I was never told about. I called to complain and he couldn’t care less said he wasn’t returning booking fee and enjoy writing the review. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING COMPANY 😡😡😡

I was quoted from £70 to £130 depending on which lock I would need (basic, standard or top of the range) over the phone. I double checked with the guy on the phone (Jim) that the maximum price it could potentially be would therefore be £130 and he confirmed that was the case. I also double checked that the quote included VAT but he said VAT was not chargeable.

When the locksmith arrived he gave me the option of the same as had been installed previously, which he described as a standard lock or he offered a high end option. I opted for the standard replacement so expected a bill somewhere between £70-£130. After the job was complete, he attempted to charge me £230 telling me the quote hadn't included labour. I told the locksmith I had double checked with Jim on the phone that the maximum charge would be £130 for the high end lock option. He then changed his story and told me the lock he'd installed was the high end option and that Jim doesn't know anything about locks so wasn't aware there was an even more expensive lock that could have been used. We tried to call Jim several times to iron out the disagreement but of course he didn't answer and the calls went straight to voicemail.

These guys are blatant scam artists - avoid at all costs!

The person on the phone (Jim) quotes a call out fee of £59 exclusive of VAT and the cost of the spare part. When someone comes out, they charge the call out, an additional labour cost of £95 and the cost of the item. This is not what they tell you over the phone. They overcharge by a minimum of £100 and when you call back and query, they (Jim) promise to find out and call back but that never happens. AVOID at all costs. Use some of the others who are transparent with pricing and honest.
