We all should start a club with members who got took by Greasy Groove. Ordered a pickguard for my Martin D35 back in January and am still waiting for it. I wanted it in time for Merlefest at the end of April but sadly, I don't even think it will get here by then. The owner is a magician. He can make your money disappear. Run, don't walk away from this company. Should be called Sleazy Groove.

I wish I could leave a zero star review

I made an order and paid the invoice the same day that it was issued.

I waited and received no tracking information.
I requested an indication of how long it would take to turnaround my order and none was given prior to me cancelling the order.

I reached out to Davey twice in the two weeks after I paid for the order, to enquire re the order status and received no reply both times.

I reached out again and stated that I would cancel my order if a solution could not be found within 3 business days.
Davey replied within a day stating "I will check when I am in the office tomorrow and rectify any issues for you".
No further reply with any update to that enquiry was received.

After another 5 days, I enquired again and waited a day for a reply.
No reply came within a day.

3 weeks after having paid for the order, I made a claim through PayPal and a full refund was issued immediately.

NB The refund was not issued by Greasy Groove- it was issued by PayPal.
Davey has stated that he authorised the refund after it was received from PayPal.

After the refund was issued, Davey sent through an email almost immediately stating that "sometimes we need more than 1 day respond to emails'.

That seems to miss the point that earlier emails had elicited no response and that he didn't follow through with his commitment of "I will check when I am in the office tomorrow and rectify any issues for you".

After reading other peoples Google Reviews for Greasy Groove, I expect that Davey will counter what I have presented and will reply to this review.

Look at the big picture, read other Google Reviews for Greasy Groove and draw your own conclusions.

I do not recommend dealing with Greasy Groove.

Stay away from this company. As others are saying, I placed an order, and did not hear a thing afterwards. A total scam.

It is a scam.
Davey, the owner, answered me in few hours on choosing the correct pickguard. So I thought he was a real profesdional. . I confirmed my order ( and payment by credit card)..
no confirmation from them (expected credit card confirmation…)
I’m a month, no reply, no aswers, nommmatter the media, I will survive for my 114 USD loss. I will be much “macho” to encounter Davey ( the owner?) on the street.

One month ago I ordered a pickguard. I have made several attempts to contact the company about my order, order status has been "processing" without any changes to that. They were happy to take my money, though...

It's a scam. If my order will some day be delivered, I am happy to come back and correct this.

If I could give zero stars I would. I ordered a pickguard and never heard from them. Never received a reply from phone calls or emails.

Pick guard was ordered 65 days ago. Still no shipping notification, no tracking number, no pick guard.
11 emails sent. One reply promising to look into it. Since then all emails have been ignored. This is genuinely the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

I've ordered and payed the 22nd of May 2025. Now almost 3 month later, no delivery, no reaction from the company nor any payback.
Well, I took my chance, send an reminder email and now the 10. Feb. The delivery is on its way.

20.feb 2026, finally I received my delivery, it's exactly as I ordered it, but 9 month delivery time. ;-)

Probably the worst online experience of my life!…A month after my order, no news. Shipping was supposed to be 3 days after ordering! The seller did not respond to any of the many emails I sent him. I was only refunded after filing a claim on Paypal!…Avoid this seller!

Ho ordinato un battipenna personalizzato presso questa azienda canadese. Ed ho ricevuto il prodotto regolarmente (peraltro di eccellente qualità!), con in più un piccolo bonus aggiuntivo gratuito: un battipenna a mezzaluna per chitarra acustica. Uniche pecche che ho potuto rilevare dalla mia esperienza, sono state le seguenti:

- tempistiche eccessive nella spedizione (la merce ci ha messo quasi un mese ad arrivarmi!), per cui sarebbe il caso di prevedere, a scelta del cliente, la possibilità di effettuare spedizioni internazionali con utilizzo di un corriere ad hoc (pagando ovviamente le spese necessarie);

- la spedizione avviene mediante la classica e desueta "posta aerea", per cui i tempi di consegna non solo sono biblici, ma è anche impossibile tracciare la merce in caso di necessità;

- dopo circa un mese dall'ordine, poi, ho inviato una richiesta di informazioni in merito allo stato del mio ordine, tramite il form presente sul loro sito, senza ricevere risposta.

Ecco, al netto di questi piccoli dettagli, per il resto GreasyGrove è senz'altro un sito attendibile che commercializza prodotti assolutamente di qualità, rivolti a musicisti (più che altro bassisti e chitarristi, ma non solo...) maniaci del "tuning" personalizzato del proprio strumento.
